Wizard fricking sucks, it deals too little damage, His projectile it a worse version of the huntress, and it needs to recharge, which leads to you resting alot, which WILL consume a frickton of your food resources, I geniunelly do not get it
You should be collecting multiple wands as Mage, Corrosion is the best one but Disintegration is also pretty consistently useful
Use most of your Upgrade scrolls on wands
If needed unequip your staff (you can still use its magic, just not its bonus effect) if you get a good melee weapon, hold onto any decent throwables earlygame for when your wands are drained
It was one of the easiest classes for me to get good at before the other ones, though it varies a lot more depending on what wands you happen upon
I sucked ass as warrior at first but one day realized "hey... he looks kinda like alex yiik..." and suddenly started using him again on a whim and I've gotten decent at him
Not much in the way of character-specific strategy other than to take advantage of any throwables/wands you get, just general stuff like learning how to guess potion types, knowing when to tough it out with unupgraded gear and save the upgrade scrolls for your next find, and most of all, frick skeletons
Warrior just gets bent over a log and raped to death in the final area by basically every enemy. God I fricking hate scorpios and the beholders so much
Not counting emulation with a bluetooth controller, I've been enjoying Pinball Deluxe Reloaded and Coin Dozer lately. Don't Touch the Spikes is also kind of fun if it weren't so aggressive with the ads.

For what it's worth I've been buying those games as they came out starting like 13 years ago. It's not like I randomly decided to buy them all one day and never played them. I've beaten each game on there at least once, some of them 2-3 times.

Last I heard, the app removed all paywalls following the Yuzu debacle so you don't need to crack it anymore. The only thing it lacked was a working multiplayer mode. If melonDS has that then it would beat Drastic for me.

More text-heavy and touch-screen only recommendations of mine, if anyone is interested:
>999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors
Gripping story where you are kidnapped and forced to participate in a deathly escape game. Amazing atmosphere and mystery buildup, considered by many to be the best story game the console had to offer. You have to solve puzzles using the touch screen. The game was really made for a DS and playing it on a phone with fast-forwarding options to skip through already read text unironically makes playing on emulator the best current way to experience it.
>Theresia
Old-fashioned point and click horror game where you have to figure you way out of a building filled with traps. Another game with a particularly well done atmosphere and tragic story that I found interesting to unravel, but progress can sometimes be tedious.
>Time Hollow
A visual novel where you use time-powers to try and find answers about... Things. I remember liking it but it was somewhat boring and cliche. Still recommending it just in case. It has a funny post-game ending.
I'm a finger player. You get used to it. Don't forget that you can resize the screens as you see fit and change from portrait to landscape mode, even if aspect ratio can suffer a bit depending on your phone. The top screen in under the knife is mainly for the story and dialogue so you can divide its size by 3 without losing much. I don't know if melonDS does this, but you can have unique orientation and button placement settings saved per-game. You can also easily switch from horizontal to vertical at any time

ex astris is the best mobile game i have played on a smartphone so far
it's a premium game with no gacha, no fomo, no daily login
i also play ds pokemon games using drastic
>How Kingdom rush?
Cool. But the post game stages are pain in the ass >I figured it was rough with microtransactions
Only for heros. You get 4 heros to play with but the rest are pay to get, still it's worth a play imo.
Emulators and ports:
GTA III, VC, SA, LCS, CW
Bully
Max Payne
Minecraft
Hotline Miami 1,2 (controller)
Hollow Knight (fanmade port)
Tomb Raider
Doom (I played the Bethesda port, but fanmade Delta Touch is probably better. There's even Doom 3 support IIRC.)
Retro City Rampage

Cool riposte
dailies and weeklies + limited shop items are by definition FOMO
I love the last two games but I’m never playing this pile of shit
no good gacha stays good
but feh in it's prime was pretty great
Honk3 up to chapter 22. Just kidding it was still shit. Just less shit.
Idle Heroes.
It's simply the pinnacle of a good pvp. No gacha can compare it that respect or have anything close to it in terms of a competitive scene.

It was one of the easiest classes for me to get good at before the other ones, though it varies a lot more depending on what wands you happen upon
i just equipped staff as melee and put every single upgrade scroll in it
mage is fricking GOATed
if you get a wand of prismatic light its literally GG because you will steamroll the game
the worst one by far is either duelist or warrior
I sucked ass as warrior at first but one day realized "hey... he looks kinda like alex yiik..." and suddenly started using him again on a whim and I've gotten decent at him
Not much in the way of character-specific strategy other than to take advantage of any throwables/wands you get, just general stuff like learning how to guess potion types, knowing when to tough it out with unupgraded gear and save the upgrade scrolls for your next find, and most of all, frick skeletons
Warrior just gets bent over a log and raped to death in the final area by basically every enemy. God I fricking hate scorpios and the beholders so much
for me, it's the wand of corruption
when you hit critical mass on a floor and shit starts constantly dying offscreen, feels good
Not counting emulation with a bluetooth controller, I've been enjoying Pinball Deluxe Reloaded and Coin Dozer lately. Don't Touch the Spikes is also kind of fun if it weren't so aggressive with the ads.

I don't understand gacha jugglers, you clearly don't have time for all of these. And if you do your life is most likely not in a good spot.

Gacha/mobile game threads get derailed all the time. It's a miracle this one has been relatively civil so far
only Genshi Impact get threads and is because have PC and PS5 editions.

Either of you use a stylus? My fingers are too big for under the knife but I remember playing it constantly. Any recommendations?
I'm a finger player. You get used to it. Don't forget that you can resize the screens as you see fit and change from portrait to landscape mode, even if aspect ratio can suffer a bit depending on your phone. The top screen in under the knife is mainly for the story and dialogue so you can divide its size by 3 without losing much. I don't know if melonDS does this, but you can have unique orientation and button placement settings saved per-game. You can also easily switch from horizontal to vertical at any time

I've tried a few gachas and the odd single player mobile game but I never enjoyed them.

What would your crush say if she found out what creepy games you play on your phone?
My crush is already inside those games anon
"I'll CRUSH you!!"
I respect Jack's strength and trust him implicitly
Limb, slay the spire, Slice and dice, Dicey dungeons, and downwell are all good games.
And there way worse on the phone.
>these are the people crying the industry is dying
Zero awareness
I feel a genuine sense of disgust, looking at Pat now.
Hows Kingdom rush? I figured it was rough with microtransactions
>How Kingdom rush?
Cool. But the post game stages are pain in the ass
>I figured it was rough with microtransactions
Only for heros. You get 4 heros to play with but the rest are pay to get, still it's worth a play imo.

Hows the gameplay?
Emulators and ports:
GTA III, VC, SA, LCS, CW
Bully
Max Payne
Minecraft
Hotline Miami 1,2 (controller)
Hollow Knight (fanmade port)
Tomb Raider
Doom (I played the Bethesda port, but fanmade Delta Touch is probably better. There's even Doom 3 support IIRC.)
Retro City Rampage
how do you even keep up to date on multiple gachas at once? i couldnt even keep up to date on FEH and that was the only gacha i played at the time
Poser, probably doesn't even login once a week to some of those gacha

Show me that gaming tablet
Mischievous reminder
Should I get a phone or a tablet for these kind of games?
No, you will just get constipated on the toilet or lay in bed all day
