I think this one, unlike Modern Warfare 2019 and Modern Warfare II 2022, is going to be more of a remake. Rumors are going around that they're remaking a lot of MW2 2009 maps, which would make it a MW2 2009 remake?
This new upcoming game was supposed to be a DLC package for MWII 2022, but it got turned into a full game. This new upcoming game which was supposed to be DLC was supposed to be like a MW2 2009 throwback nostalgiafest with remade MW2 2009 maps. So now this new game is going to be called Modern Warfare III, but will feature remade MW2 2009 maps. Those are the rumors going around.
>launch your game without much for MW2 content because of whatever fricking reason despite psuedo-prepping for it with the remaster, mostly having crappy original maps as you plan for the big MW2 map set a year later >turn it into a MWIII game that's going to be carrying MW2 map remakes
What, is MWIIII gonna carry the MW3 maps now
If it's sledgehammer the games will be complete different. It's just going to be another unfinished game.

Considering the word of mouth is that Sledgehammer hasn't even gotten a usual 3 year cycle to work on this but instead less than a year, I'll be surprised if it's even remotely anything to give a frick about. In some impossible miracle that it isn't a frickfest of rushed development, they still have Infinity Ward fricking up so tremendously with MWII that it's nothing but the Myth of Sisyphus to accomplish here.

I don't understand why activitision doesn't force them to coordinate. Sledgehammer is always working with like 5 year old tech and infinity ward is usually more modern. It also doesn't allow the series to have any sense of identity. One second they are trying to please blops babbies and the next second they are trying to provide an actual challenge for casuals. I would be fine with it if the relegated blops play to blops but having 2 companies with radically different approach to the series work on direct sequels has never worked out for them. You would think the money alone would be enough to motivate them.

I don't understand why Activision had to do the 3 year cycle like a sports thing. Letting Treyarch have their time to develop what they want on the side and having Sledgehammer assist Infinity Ward in development instead of constantly developing their own shit, and having to have a new game out every single year, drowned this series in inconsistency and mediocrity. No one really gets the time they want, and Activision execs still poke their nose in to force what they want, like how twice now Treyarch wanted BO to go post-apocalypse dark ages with advanced technology being thought to be borderline magic, and Acti doubled down and shot them twice for it because "the intended audiences (ie teenagers and kids) wouldn't get it".
Which is why BO3 flopped around really weirdly and why BO4 axed its campaign entirely.
thats still fake this teaser showed off makarov this game is an expansion turned full title.
The original plan was they were gonna make a single player expansion and include maps with it. Now they are just adding in a couple more maps and guns and then confirmed everything from MW22 carries over.
It was supposed to be Sledgehammer-made DLC for MWII that they figured they could just upscale into a new retail product, which is why all the cosmetics and equipment is crossing over, and also why this is coming the year right after MWII.
This is also where a lot of the "MWII will have a 2 year life cycle" rumors came from; arguably with the DLC refresh it would have.
I think this one, unlike Modern Warfare 2019 and Modern Warfare II 2022, is going to be more of a remake. Rumors are going around that they're remaking a lot of MW2 2009 maps, which would make it a MW2 2009 remake?
It's a multiplayer expansion pack for MWII that got repurposed as it's own game because MWII was too much of a broken piece of garbage to retain a playerbase like MW2019 did.
I’d love to know the inside scoop of what happened to cause the massive drop off in quality between 2019 and 2022. MW2019 could have been a solid game as a service game for three years easily.
Here I’ll tell you what happened we poured a lot of work and effort into modern warfare and were repaid with an abhorrent community who all stalked us on LinkedIn because we were related to a project.
Activision sent YouTubers who breathed down our necks with fake smiles and then sent their fanboys after anyone because the game was too camper friendly and the maps were actually maps and not 3 lane kiddie pools.
Obvious larp is obvious but this is exactly what happened. Look at what that homosexual blame truth did. Obviously all the talent is gonna say frick it and leave after delivering the best call of duty in years when all they get in return is harassment from the most AIDS gaming community.

Like the previous two, they need to capitalize on nostalgia because they have no idea how to make a good game even tho it's one of the easiest things in the world to do given the amount of resources they have
>it's gonna fricking suck
another BORING specops tactic**t shootemup with busted multiplayer and bundles that cost 1/2 the price of the game (70 dollars plus tip). all the bad guys suck Black person dick, all the good guys suck Black person dick, and nothing interesting fricking happens in the campaigns anymore
>sledgehammer
Oh cool can't wait for garbage low scale babby combat with terrible hit reg. God forbid a sniper has to actually look down range at something. You would think Activision would at least force them to adopt the better engine.
It was one of like 2 or 3 that I've still never played. I just didn't care about it when it did come out and never went back because these games never sell for a fair price even when they are "on sale". A 12+ year old COD game is worth $5 tops.
They had their chance to save CoD with the new MW2 and it flopped hard. Announcing MW3 is just a joke at this point, we already know it's going to flop.
They made the bulk of those numbers in presales before people really knew the game sucked. It's not about how many copies you sell but how many players you retain... see Halo Infinite and Battlefield 2042
Yeah, and it was absolutely true. Each of those games sold exponentially worse than the last and were all considered bombs. MW19 was a direct, desperate last ditch effort to revive the dying franchise. And we're already back to people losing interest. There is no third revitalization for COD, this is legit the end for it. The nostalgia has been milked dry, the gameplay continues to get worse. It's over.
The thing is they could have just stayed with MW2019 and COD would probably be in a way better shape.
The only reason it's dying again is that they are absolutely fricking moronic.
It's a number of factors really. But I would actually say the biggest problem and reason COD is dead again is Warzone. Warzone is the worst thing that could have happened. It hasn't been fun or popular since mid 2020, but they have continued to focus most of their effort on it, only to progressively make it worse. Only the first map for it was any good. The weapon balance, netcode, and how much it takes to kill other players us completely fricked. Adding gimmick superpowers or superweapons as tie ins with completely unrelated pop culture franchises further ruins this. Nobody actually likes or cares about Warzone anymore, it peaked years ago. But they just want to keep forcing it because it is what makes them money from idiot whales buying skins.
Ultimately, no gameplay formula stays fun forever. So even if they hadn't completely shit the bed with Cold War and Vanguard, the same mechanics and gameplay of MW19 would still be stale as hell by now (and they are since 2 still feels like it). The fact is, COD has simply run its course. They have explored every avenue, there's nothing left to do with it.
>revive the dying franchise

that's overall, i'm talking about the year it was released in (2016)
I had never played any CoD games besides the new MW1 and MW2, and they both had pretty dogshit campaigns. So I assumed that the old games couldn't have been any good either but playing the old MW1 and 2 recently, they're actually pretty fun. The atmosphere in 2 with the EMP'd DC was pretty fantastic.
Kinda crazy how hard this franchise fell off despite only having successful launches.
Nu-MW1 and 2 are just shameless cash grab remakes and the last desperate attempt to keep the franchise afloat. These games started bombing really hard around the time of Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3, and absolutely cratered in sales with Infinite Warfare and Black Ops 4. MW19 revitalized interest in the series by trying to grab everyone's nostalgia for the original, and was a pretty fun game in its own right. But it's pretty obvious people are getting bored again since MW2-2 was a downgrade across the board, Warzone has been the focus despite being a hacker filled disaster passed its fotm era, and Cold War and Vanguard were completely awful. Activision has run out of good will and run out of ideas. COD is finally about to die.
Honestly, I can't even call MW19 nostalgia or a remake. It's a 100% different story that sets up a shared 'verse with Black Ops and a sequel hook for the original MW games in an altered context, like rebooting shit. Even with map remakes and other stuff, the game wanted to be absolutely different from everything before it, so it mostly wore the Modern Warfare label to declare how serious it was in changing the series again.
It was warzone and chasing fortnite money that killed any chance of the reboots being good. The damage was done as soon as tracer packs and Mara's cat ear skin were added.
They're going to 180 on MW 2 completely and pander to try hard twitch streamers. I very much doubt I'll be interested in playing another iteration of Warzone 1 Vanguard era
Even late Warzone 1 sucked. The only good thing in warzone 2 is actual recoil and bullet drop. In Warzone 1 it got to a point if you were running in the open youll get destroyed by low recoil, high magazine ARs.

I also liked how expensive loadouts were when warzone 2 came out but people cried. So now if you dont get a meta loadout in 5 minutes you are fricked.

Warzone 1 right before cold war was nearly perfect just needed a new map since verdansk is overrated as shit.
Based. Warzone 2, with all it's slower and harder mechanics, was a fun game for about a week before they bent the knee to morons and Black folk who just want the game to play itself
That's what the people want. I see an Izzy every match.
At least someone deciding they want bright fricking neon colors is less of a homosexual than everybody picking the new Rozes like Io just to blend into the shadows or concrete.
>muh people
the people are moronic and have no idea wtf they want. people b***hed that cyberpunk was being delayed too much and then they b***hed that the game was rushed and unplayable and should have been delayed more when it released.
You're right coherent styles don't matter. Spider-Man can be green and pink. The gears of war characters should all have cat ears. I should be able to play as a hippopotamus in final fantasy.
I legit thought this was just some E-celeb that I've never heard of.
Why the frick is this in a CoD game? The other dumb operators are usually e-celebs or some cross over thing, this is an OC character.
Is it true that they changed her name from Izanami to Izzy because people were crying that it spelled Im a Nazi backwards, i saw a clickbait article but dismissed it because it was too stupid to be true.
I remember when they were thumping their chests that they're keeping customization as realistic and non-ridiculous as possible before MW2019 release
mark my words, if MW3 isn't full of fortnite-tier bullshit, the next one will be
No MW3 will be the fortnite game. They had confirmed every weapon bundle and current skin will transfer over to MW3s multiplayer so its gonna be silyl on day 1
Every single year they sell you on a "tactical" and "gritty" game only for it to devolve into Fortnite a year on, when only the whales are still playing.
Bruh that's Treyarch. Cold War had to be taped together a year ahead of schedule while Vanguard got an extra year.
Black Ops carried the franchise through the 2010s and they had to suffer for it. Meanwhile Sledgehammer has done nothing worthwhile with their time with the franchise and still gets treated with the kid gloves.
more like treyarch. Sledgehammer games are either downright dogshit or mind numbingly average (AW, WW2 and vanguard). Treyarch gets called every time sledgehammer fricks up taking time from their own game. COD 2024 will be the first cod since 2015 where treyarch has a full dev time (they already took the time to make zombies for vanguard, shitty as it is)
Count me in, and I say this as someone who thought MW 2019 was decent.
The nuMW2 was so fricking awful that I refuse to touch this franchise ever again.
I remember when they were thumping their chests that they're keeping customization as realistic and non-ridiculous as possible before MW2019 release
mark my words, if MW3 isn't full of fortnite-tier bullshit, the next one will be
nuMW2 is already full of Fortnite shit, in fact it has pioneered the idea of battle passes within battle passes.
I have not completed a COD campaign since Black Ops 1. I have no interest in that aspect of these games.
Unfortunately i also have no interest in BRs so this series is increasingly going further and further away from my interests anyway.
Black Ops Cold War had a decent one, with choices and different endings like Black Ops 2.
MW2019 had a thing going where it was kinda realistic but by the end of the game you are running around with a minigun, and nuMW2's campaign goes full moron with having you jumping from one car to another for 30 minutes.
I won't, I uninstalled MWII back in April.
And I'm the type that easily falls for FOMO, temporary event, battle pass farming bullshit, but even for me MWII was just too fricking awful.
In fact what made me uninstall it was that absolutely moronic event consisting of decoding shit in the Warzone map to get a care package and get a blueprint.
It was so stupidly convoluted that I just realized that the people making this game were just messing with me.
>MW2019 had a thing going where it was kinda realistic but by the end of the game you are running around with a minigun, and nuMW2's campaign goes full moron with having you jumping from one car to another for 30 minutes.
What's funny is that MWII missions go full moron from the second one, but the story itself is kept very low scale and plausible so it ends up in this weird situation where you have missions like the 1 hour long car chase where you destroy 100 vehicles or where an AC-130 levels an entire south american city, all because some muslim got his hands on a missile that isn't even a nuke, it's just a random ground to ground missile.
>nuMW2's campaign goes full moron with having you jumping from one car to another for 30 minutes
That one didn't bother me much, I thought it was nice of them to do something vaguely interesting with vehicles. The night time mission with Soap procuring on site was a highlight for me because it wasn't another loud set piece but a slow, tactical, minimal loadout, atmospheric (not horror) moment.
>The silly skins are in every lobby while all the military skins they have and sell are barely there
Because the 12 year olds that play this game are ruining their parents credit score to buy them.
That doesn't make the skins good or appropriate.
>It's never coming out
Closed beta testing going on rn, some people had it showing up in their discord profiles
>The De-sync will never improve
First part of their netcode rework is out, still shit but its alot more tolerable.
>The cheaters will never be banned
Yeah thats fair. The only hope because BSG are useless morons is that the popularity of the main game dies once they grow a pair and add more milsim features that will scare away most players
On the brightside, if the games still dogshit can always just play SPTarkov
>Closed beta testing going on rn
As opposed to the open beta that the game is right now? So they're literally going backwards >First part of their netcode rework is out, still shit
that's how every single one of their improvements goes. I've been playing for years and yeah, it's better than it was, but it's still unacceptably bad in every way. If a battlefield game had the same issues it would be torched online. >can always just play SPTarkov
pointless just like playing counter-strike against bots. Tarkov is a complete waste of everyone's time
Neither, its not a remake of MW3, but it's not an actual full game either, it was a planned expansion pack for MWII that is going to be sold as a full game because MWII has been bleeding players almost from the start.
It won't have a campaign and apparently it's coop is going to be a rushed zombie mode.
It's also made by Sledgehammer which are the worst of the three studios working on it.
>It has a campaign.
It doesn't, literally everyone who has talked about it has said there's no campaign and that the "plot" will be told through seasonal events and cutscenes.
[...]
No the expansion was meant to be a story campaign and now they are just making it its own thing
It's not, the expansion is a bunch of nostalgia-bait from the original MW2.
this but unironically, the game's animations changed the industry and lead to every copycat game doing that "hold the mag while taking out the old one" animation style
>MW2019 >claim no more yearly COD games >MW2022 happens >Oh well, at least they waited 2 years >MW2023
Oh boy, the eternal activision is at it again I see.
>claim no more yearly COD games
That was just rumors back then.
This year it was going to be true, but MWII bled too much players and the DLC they planned is now being sold as a full game.
Not saying you should, MWII was a piece of garbage and this one is going to be even worse because not only is it rushed, but it's also made by Sledgehammer.
They managed to gain some good will with MW2019, but they just killed all of it with Vanguard and this one.
>They managed to gain some good will with MW2019
MW2019 was the first battlefield I played since MW3, it was fun to play for 2-3 months but the whole COD gameplay got stale fast so I just went to play something else. I don't think I'd have fun with MW2022 or MW 2023 so I'll skip.
You should avoid it specially if you liked the Battlefield mode because nuMWII got rid completely of all the verticality those maps had.
Now every single one is a big, flat area with two story buildings at most, it's a fricking paradise for sniper campers.
Plus there's cargo helis now where you can walk around it's back and people use those as makeshift camping spots, though it's countered by the fact that MWII has maybe the worst fricking helicopter controls I've ever seen in videogames.
No, it's more like >let people forget about MWII and hope this one doesn't suck dick
MW2019 did so well and had so much player retention that they delayed the announcement of the next one until late September.
Not staying with MW2019 and updating and releasing more maps for it was a complete frickup, not only because no COD ever since managed to gain such a playerbase, but because they also killed Warzone with that moronation of trying to integrate it with the current COD.
to me this new series died when activision just blatantly started posting everywhere the special ops mode would include splitscreen, just that it'd be "added later"
ALMOST tricked me into buying this garbage to play with friends
They NEVER FRICKING ADDED the feature, but kept spreading out rumors it would be eventually added
Come MW2, same fricking shit. Spread rumors that splitscreen would be eventually added to special ops mode. THEY NEVER DO.
And people fall for it every time. Frick them, never buying anything from them again.
No, the gays are tactically placed for diversity but also where you won't notice. Under zero circumstances are they going to make cover characters gay, especially Soap and Ghost.
Although honestly can you imagine any COD character actually expressing attraction to women? COD is more sexless than fricking Super Mario.
These people don't have sex, they're murder robots whose AI was fed Rudyard Kipling and action movies over and over.
Closest thing I've seen to anybody expressing a sex drive is Lazlow mentioning she has a wife, Mason somehow suppressing his schizo side long enough to marry someone and produce David(and even then, for whatever reason, David was put into the care of Woods rather than Mason or his wife's family), and Harper hitting on Karma during Black Ops 2.
>battle passes were made as FOMO to trick you into keep playing the game, which is why they give you currency to buy the next one if you farm it all >COD adds a battlepass within the battlepass that gives currency but can't be used to buy the next battlepass within the battlepass because they only way to get it is paying $30
One of the reasons why I dropped it. For some reason every seasonal update reduced everyone's framerate by 10 FPS and never even tried to fix it.
Most updates broke the game more than fix it too.
Here's a thing. >MW2 on release >runs fine
now >boot up MW2 for the first time in months >game wants to kill itself
One of the biggest COD leakers said that pretty much all the talent IW had was ready to bail out after MWII's release because of how much Activision pushed them around during the game's development.
Considering how much of a clusterfrick all the post-launch stuff has been I think that could be right.
I feel like someone could say that at any point for free attention because that's the kind of news that people want to believe in the first place.
It also checks out entirely though, and seeing how they're trying to do another yearly release when they should have double spaced out releases seems to confirm it.
>t also checks out entirely though, and seeing how they're trying to do another yearly release when they should have double spaced out releases seems to confirm it.
It's a glorified DLC made by Sledgehammer, not Infinity Ward, that's why it's coming out a year afterward.
The talent that made MW19 and shipped out Warzone were all laid off during the vaxx mandates because they didn't take it. MW2 was shipped out and has been since worked on by vaxxed devs. Same goes for SH. All the games you're getting from Activision now are all made by vaxxed people.
Mw3 will run better at launch than current mw2, but by September next year it will barely function so that people are primed to buy the next black ops reboot or whatever
If it was actually a full release I'd expect that but it really is looking to be a bunch of content on top of MWII and probably a direct integration of the multiplayer.
>looking to be a bunch of content on top of MWII
It's exclusive. Mw2 players don't get that content, and mw3 players aren't playing mw2 content.
The crossover between them is warzone, same as the last 4 years

The thing is this DLC is supposed to be integrated into MWII, and some people have said that the reason the framedrops happen is because every season they just add too many files and don't even bother optimizing it.
If this is true MWIII will probably run at like -10 FPS on a 4090.
After MW2 2022, No thanks. Aim-Assist cronus-zen/xim homosexualshit with skill based damage, matchmaking, health and other nonsense. I'm good. Shit game for stupid people.
They won't get any closer than is marketable. CoD is a game about superheroes fighting extrapolations of the kind of wars nobody in the west or china has any moral scruples about. If they make out capital R Russia to be the bad guys they will probably portray it as some kind of cell within the Russian government with a secret global conquest agenda with no clear goals because it's literally the Justice League vs the Legion of Doom but instead of superpowers they have SAS patches and pic rails.
>CoD is a game about superheroes fighting extrapolations of the kind of wars nobody in the west or china has any moral scruples about
What the frick are you going on about?
COD is a game about tolerating the clusterfrick that Shipment is to farm the battle pass and temporary skins on time.
i literally don't care at all
modern warfare 2019 and warzone were PERFECT
modern warfare 2 sucked ass and warzone was completely ruined
they had a perfect template but insisted on 'innovating' everything into the ground
modern warfare 3 will probably be even worse in that direction
What's better >Activision decides to do Warzone 2 because they admit the whole "integrate Warzone with the current COD" was a mess that killed the game, and that they would now make it it's own, independant thing >proceed to tie it into MWII, everything points that they'll try to integrate with future games
Activision is literally brain damaged.
MWII just makes no sense in some choices >game is clearly arcade, skins show they give no fricks about realism >but remove slide cancelling, reload cancelling and add colission to team mates
It's like the entire thing was made by two different studios, and I have no doubt MWIII will be an even bigger mess.
The changes to sliding, reloads and collision weren't for realism they were for trying to rebalance the multiplayer either to keep compgays from complaining, casuals from quietly dropping off or just to make things feel different so people's brains don't just parse the game as a reskin.
When it comes to aesthetic realism and sticking to the art direction the game had on release it's a cycle. >CoD game releases with a really clear style and art direction in general >People who care about that kind of thing like it, casuals just go WOAW NEW GAME, compgays know to expect updates later, the new guns at least keep the aesthetics appreciators on board while the designs are still sane >Time goes by >First wave of cosmetics deviates a bit from the core theme catching a few of the aesthetically inclined, compgays get their CDL tracksuits, casuals are getting a little bored of lack of new gimmicks >Time goes by again >New cosmetics now begin deviating sharply into flashy bullshit and tie-ins >Aesthetics appreciators begin to get sick of the game but they probably weren't spending any more money on it >Compgays never cared about consistent aesthetics beyond readability and both them and the casuals are all lapping up neon egirl skins, batman-esque tacticool black and gold whatever, etc >Time goes by >The remaining playerbase is being pandered to with the most flashy stupid cosmetics now with guns that light up like vegas and shoot fireworks, things basically look like a chinese F2P counterstrike clone from the 2000s with the amount of stupid cosmetics >Even they're getting tired of the cosmetics though and start acting like they thought cosmetics looked goofy this whole time because they're sheep by nature >New CoD game gets released >It has all the old cosmetics removed and a clear art direction that permeates through the whole game >The cycle begins anew
But what the frick does team mate colission add?
It's literally there to annoy you.
In big maps you won't notice, and in small maps it means you'll constantly get blocked and pushed by team mates.
MWII sucks because it's full of these stupid pointless design choices that are there pretty much just to annoy you.
If I were to justify it I'd say it's probably to make it so that multiple players bunched up have slightly less of an advantage over one player. Technically it's camper-sided at chokepoints and it doesn't really make that much of a difference but maybe it makes it so that single players can have an easier time clutching objectives surrounded by doorways/chokepoints.
Really it may as well be different for the sake of being different because it just makes the gamefeel different enough you feel like you're playing a new game subconsciously when you get it for the first time. It's like the videogame equivalent of people putting weights in crappy electronics because being weighty creates the perception of it being a premium product.
Its insane. I had a 2.something kd on 2019 and every single match was high ping campers using meta guns. Completely unplayable, so naturally I quit. People who go negative every game without a pity win won't be buying any skins or battlepasses so here we are
>Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare >Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 >Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 >Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered >Call of Duty: Modern Warfare >Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered >Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II >Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III
Can you say creatively bankrupt?
Then u are braindead and they type of fan activision loves. Iw will keep slapping the mw title to all their games and make price and friends the avengers so that they never lose morons like u
Treyarch still the best
Even Cold War felt more like a true CoD game compared to all the other recent garbage and had the coolest new/original video game character in years
Doubt it because it would be a moronic shift from the other two.
First one was about a corrupt Russian general, and the second was about some muslim who stole a ground to ground missile.
As moronic as the missions are, the story so far has been fairly grounded.
I hate how woke and lame MW campaigns are.
They lost their balls years ago. Last missions about mw2 was about killing american soldiers. In the "remake" it's just some private company.
>Last missions about mw2 was about killing american soldiers. In the "remake" it's just some private company.
In MW2 it was also a private military company, in fact it was the exact same one, Shadow Company.
>In MW2 it was also a private military company, in fact it was the exact same one, Shadow Company.
Nope it wasn't. That's just some fan theory that somehow made it up to the wiki.
Yes they are, these are the models of the soldiers you find in the last three missions and when they kill Roach and Ghost, look at the Shadow Company patch.
>In MW2 it was also a private military company, in fact it was the exact same one, Shadow Company.

They even have the same patch in the reboot trilogy.
[...]
They even have the same patch in the reboot trilogy.
How does it prove that they are private?
They are commanded by a us army general, they have the logistic of the us army, they have the support of the nsa, can call artillery strike, have helicopters...
They are called Shadow Company an American PMC in both timelines thats it why even bother arguing this

Show me one instance where it hints to that in the OG mw2.

I think that was mentioned on Soap's diary, which came with the collector's edition of MW3.
The MW2 Remaster also has signs in the Museum level to describe the dioramas and it says that Shadow Company are a group of private contractors and that apparently they are suspected to perform warmongering activities to secure contracts.

>I think that was mentioned on Soap's diary, which came with the collector's edition of MW3.
So that's something from the nu devs, probably to say "naah, us soldiers weren't bad guys".
I don't see any reason why a US general would command a private army (while being on duty) which looks nothing like a private army, that wears american patches everywhere and have their own logistic provided by the us army, even the ammo.
+ the NSA/FBI wanted the 141 dead or alive. It was something official so it didn't require shady guys to kill the 141.

The fact that they are called "Shadow Company" instead of "Shadow Unit" and the fact that they use civilian vehicles instead of proper military ones pretty much hints at them being a private corp.
>I don't see any reason why a US general would command a private army (while being on duty)
Probably because he needed a unit to do shady stuff since he was trying to trigger a WWIII.
>which looks nothing like a private army
Probably because COD devs have no idea what a real mercenary looks like.
In MWII, where they outright say they are mercenaries, they have AC-130s (which not only cost 200 million a unit and it uses millions of dollars worth of ammo per mission, and the US forbid from selling to anyone but the US military), M1 Abrams and, according to it's leader, enough units to invade Mexico.

I'm not talking about nu MW2 here but about the OG mw2.
In the OG mw2 they have humvees, chopers, artillery strike, etc. >Shady stuff.
You have special forces for that.
Also Shepard tries to kill you with the help of the US navy in the gulag mission lmao which leads to "bloody yankee! i thought they were the good guys".

>I'm not talking about nu MW2 here but about the OG mw2.
Yes, and I'm saying that the devs who work on these games clearly have no idea of how a real mercenary unit is, and still don't.
I'm pretty sure we two have already given more thought to MW2's plot than the writers did when they were making the game.
>You have special forces for that.
Considering two of them went rogue and ended up killing Shepherd for all of this, maybe he did it because he knew they wouldn't just stand for provoking a world war.
Price even went against his direct orders when he launched the nuke above the US.
Which is another example of how the writers have no idea of what they were writing because an EMP would have permanently fried all electronic infrastructure in the US and would have resulted in pretty much the destruction of the country.
See what I mean?
>Also Shepard tries to kill you with the help of the US navy in the gulag mission
Yeah, and then he directly implies that the Navy had no idea you were there to begin with.

Dude, in MW2 Russia decides to invade the US because they caught a CIA guy among a group of terrorists, terrorists that they already knew and that showed their faces to everyone, and managed to fool all surveillance infrastructure in the US because of something called "ACS module" that doesn't even exist.
Maybe what happens here is that MW2 has terrible writing because it's a plot made with 10 year olds in mind.

It's called Shadow Company, they have their own unique models with no traces of insigias from any US military unit, in a mission they use civilian vehicles with miniguns and in Soap's diary from MW3 it says they are elite mercenaries.
No idea why you are even getting so obsessed with this, it's a simple as frick story.
Hell, lets not forget that in MW2 they don't even say why Shepherd betrays you, literally all explanation there is is a single line in the opening of MW3.

>Shepherd betrays you, literally all explanation there is is a single line in the opening of MW3.
Entire dialogue where he explains why he betrays you was in the final mission but they cut it out.
He knows that the 141 would end up knowing that he sided with Makarov and was responsible for this mess.

In the alpha build, it directly implies that the US are behind all of this to weaken russia (they even support zakhaev).

I thought I was crazy since I couldn't find these videos or the articles related to them anymore.
It seems that Activision really doesn't want ppl to talk about that.
So yea, it reinforces the idea that the OG story was much more "grey" with the US being at least as bad as the Russians, which obviously coudn't happen in a game using all sort of us made weapons.
Also I bet that they had to specify that the shadow company was private later for the same reasons.

Because they are a special force, just like the 141?
They won't do it because modern day Russia is nowhere near as scary as 2009 Russia. That and the fact that everyone is scared to make China look like bad guys means that we will only ever see terrorists, PMCs, or shadow organizations as the bad guys forever
>people are 10x as scared of russia now than in 2009
u wot m8. Russia is a complete joke now. After their gigantic failure in Ukraine, they can never again be used as "THE BAD GUYS" in any kind of game, movie, show, etc. for the next 10-15 years until people forget about their flop in Ukraine.
doomsday clock is the closest it's ever been to apocalypse. i get that you're americans and think you're untouchable but the rest of the world is freaked the frick out by this war

I'm from Denmark. The only scary thing that Russia has left are nukes. The rest of their military has proven to be a complete fricking joke with extremely outdated tech and gear. They are basically North Korea 2.0 now.

No one but the same hysteric b***hes who spam cats when there's a terrorist attacks are scared.
That war is just slavs doing their favourite pass time: killing and raping slavs.
If the most recent stories going around are true, they're fricking Looney Toons levels of moronic. A commander allegedly tried to commit a war crime of dressing up his unit in Ukrainian uniforms so they could infiltrate and attack from within-- only for no other Russian units to know his plan, wipe out his unit, and end up causing those units to get exposed and damaged by Ukraine in the process for his efforts.
They're the second biggest army in the world and they're getting fricked by drunk slavs armed with dusty shit from America's boneyards.
Vidya needs a new big scary country to be the bad guy. My money's on either China, alt-history Soviet Union or some second civil war thing. I'd like them to take a page from Ace Combat's book and make fictional countries so they can go ham with all the crazy war settings they want, but that'll never happen.
Modern Warfare 3 had Russia getting to Paris from Russia within less than a day all while handling an aerial and amphibian invasion of the US.
Doubt anyone would take that seriously given the Ukraine war.
>mw 1 >gloves are off >you torture and murder people
>mw2 >you kill thousands to capture the iranian >"tell us where are the warheads" >"no. and actually I dont do anything wrong so release me" >"ok" >cartel girl is captured >instead of being waterboarded until she tells them everything they just let her be

The most you do is grab a guy's family members and point a gun at them.
>mw2 >you kill thousands to capture the iranian >"tell us where are the warheads" >"no. and actually I dont do anything wrong so release me" >"ok"
They are literally forced by their superiors to do it because apparently it's some political shenanigans, they even complain about it. How is that woke?

Why do people talk about CoD's story like it's compelling at all. It's like you're the people who bought into No Russian and the gas attacks in the older titles actually being GRUESOME and REVEALING INSIGHTS into the HORRORS OF WAR. I don't know shit about how special forces work in real life situations like this (neither do you) but within the narrative of videogames like this they easily could have had actual torture and moral greyness with these characters. In nu MW1 they could have easily had the crew justify maiming one woman and child in response to this one dude killing hundreds of innocent people just to prove they aren't fricking around and had it actually be morally grey reflecting that the characters were truly doing whatever it took to prevent further tragedy. In nu MW2 they had the good guys going "aw man we're so good we have to play by the rules our hands are tied here" on a couple of occasions if just to hammer home the fact that they were the good guys and that things were only morally grey in so far as it's morally grey when a hostage negotiator negotiates.
I'm not a writing genius or anything I'm just some random fricker on the internet but how can you not see that these games are just riffing on the ideas of heroes and villains and wrapping them up in molle vests instead of capeshit spandex.
God i wish there was a Killzone right.
Make it a sequel to Mercenaries instead so you can attract all the morons who want flashy skins with an excuse of them being flamboiant space mercs.
I get your point because it's not the first time CoDgays have complained endlessly but bought like sheep anyway. That being said I personally didn't fricking touch Vanguard and bought MW2 mostly hoping I could play it with friends and have the same experiences I had with MW1 and BOCW.
>Rushing out MW3 to basically extend MW2 >Sledgehammer
Oh this is gonna be a shitshow, and what's even funnier is that Microsoft is gonna be taking the blame
>all this talk to try to imply MW2 is "based" because you killed Americans >when Activision literally said that the Pentagon has co-financed the franchise since COD4
more like treyarch. Sledgehammer games are either downright dogshit or mind numbingly average (AW, WW2 and vanguard). Treyarch gets called every time sledgehammer fricks up taking time from their own game. COD 2024 will be the first cod since 2015 where treyarch has a full dev time (they already took the time to make zombies for vanguard, shitty as it is)
I like the direction that zombies is going in terms of gameplay.
I hate that set characters are now operators though.
I miss the gobblegum/elixir system from BO3 and BO4
I hope Treyarch will give us mod tools since they came crawling back to Steam
If the leaks were correct a while ago then it's going to be about the gulf war and probably 2024's cod. Although the leaks came out before mw3 was even announced and now mw3 is coming out next so idk how credible those leaks are anymore.
Sledgehammer was supposed to make this year's game by the original schedule.
Instead, they planned on making MWII a two year game, and for Sledgehammer to just make an expansion pack.
Thing is, MWII didn't have nearly the same player retention as MW2019 because it's a buggy, broken piece of garbage, so they forced them to rush a campaign to add onto the stuff from the planned DLC and will sell it as it's own game.
Treyarch is supposedly working on a game set during the Gulf War and that would be a kinda of sequel to Cold War.
>Treyarch is supposedly working on a game set during the Gulf War and that would be a kinda of sequel to Cold War.
I hope this is true, that would calm my soul.
>so they forced them to rush a campaign to add onto the stuff from the planned DLC and will sell it as it's own game
The going rumor is that MWIII is not gonna have a campaign, but the story will be told through those shitty ass PvE raid missions.
>The going rumor is that MWIII is not gonna have a campaign
Nah, they've already said they are going to release the campaign two weeks before the actual release date.
In the documents they were forced to show in court a few weeks ago due to the whole Microsoft buying Activision thing.
First beta will be the 6th of October, second one the 12th, early access campaign the 2nd of November, full release 10th of November.

>that forced crafting section at the very end of the game
What the frick were they thinking.
It makes sense in the favela level, but in that one is just stupid.
the first one was cool and should have been the only stealth level in the game
I hated how many stealth levels there were
I wish they would just make up a new fictional country at this point so we could have a proper land invasion and modern warfare in a modern city
>nothing planned to multiplayer map expansion to now "OH SHIT INVESTORS NEED MONEY, UHH, GET SLEDGEHAMMER TO CHURN OUT A PLOT IN A YEAR"
This is going to be an absolute fricking disaster.
MWIII has you work with shadow company and a traitor from Russia. The traitor is a woman who was RGF in the early 2000’s
You meet her injured in the 3rd mission
The rumors are interesting since you play as her in a few missions to get close to Makarov and learn some Intel
Sure in Warzone 2.0/DMZ maybe LMAO I ain't buying this trash and I hope no one does either they treated F2P players so much better than actual paying players its hilarious
Kek had to dig this screenshot back up from last year. I beat the campaign of 2 and put like 5 hours into the garbage multiplayer and they still refunded me, worst CoD release of all time
Guess I'll just do the same thing for this game which will probably surpass 2 as the worst
Cold War was an actual CoD game, and Vanguard's campaign was more fun than MW2's despite it's multiplayer being unplayable.
All the others you listed are mediocre but still play like classic CoD.
the campaign was so fricking broken i would crash like twice a mission and every time you crash you have to launch the game again, and then select single player which would close the game and re launch it. also came across a softlock bug near the beginning of the game where the AI teammates wouldn't progress and had to restart the whole mission.
My buddy who's basically a CoD addict got into PC gaming the year before its release, his copy on Steam wouldn't get past the splash screen for weeks but instantly worked fine on Blizzard's shitty app when he tried it there. These games get minimal testing for PC and it shows
This case is unique. CoD3 was sloppy. MW3 was buggy. Ghosts was derided and generic. AW I think was buggy, but it was mostly memed on for pay respects and Kevin Spacey. IW was hated because of how utterly generic its trailer was. WWII was hated for being so generic and loot box driven. Cold War, I think mostly was controversial for following up MW19, and being a notable downgrade in presentation? Vanguard was boring shit and those are the people making MWIII.
MWII was a controversial case because it was turbo fricking hyped through the absolute roof as "CALL OF DUTY IS GOING ALL IN AND GONNA BE BACK, BAYBEEEE" and then it came out, the campaign was shit, the maps were shit, the UI was an absolute fricking dog turd, the game was super unstable, they focused more on cosmetics and DMZ/WZ2.0 than actually fixing the game or improving its core content, and they actively pissed on the people that got them their metric frickton of sales.
The series has its controversies and frick ups but MWII is a category all its own.
I think it really did just get the short end of the stick thanks to having to be "the" next-gen launch game smothered by controversies like Cyberpunk and the fans not seeing the super presentation spark that MW19 had. Generally I hear that by the end of its content cycle BOCW was in a great place, it's just fricked over by how the MW19/BOCW/Vanguard pipeline fricked shit up and WZ getting plugged left it to die.
CoD3 is an exceptionally different game. To this day it plays nothing like any of the other games in the franchise despite being strapped together in something like 9 months. It's also the last game in the franchise to have a campaign not based around near superhero characters. No other game in the franchise focused on the Falaise Gap.
Wonder if the rumors about the female veteran operator in the campaign is true
You just know. From here on out every CoD game is going to have a female operator who operates harder than anyone ever operated. That way they've got someone to slap all the ass candy skins on. Park in Cold War, the Russian sniper chick in Vanguard (lmao), the Mexican chick in MW2... rule of 3.
I remember playing CoD3 on the original Xbox, not a great experience to say the least. But it was definitely one of the weirder games, a definite feeling that Treyarch didn't quite know what they were doing just yet and this series didn't have a formula beyond ''World War II battles" as an FPS. Still, it was fun seeing more obscure and less mainstream battles.
the campaign was so fricking broken i would crash like twice a mission and every time you crash you have to launch the game again, and then select single player which would close the game and re launch it. also came across a softlock bug near the beginning of the game where the AI teammates wouldn't progress and had to restart the whole mission.
Despite the fact that it's still gonna sell like crazy, it's nice to finally see these high profile games getting blowback for their shitty practices, even youtube comments has people overwhelmingly shitting on both this and the laughable RDR port today and for good reason
Only people who think releasing a literal port to a handheld less powerful than my phone, 13 years after the games original release for $50 is anything other than a israelite cash grab, are FAT tendies who are gonna use their parents credit card to buy the game anyway
>it's nice to finally see these high profile games getting blowback for their shitty practices
how underage do you have to be to have missed the reception to the infinite warfare trailer and the entire monetization model during that era of cod? and guess fricking what, the franchise is still around and even on steam THE FRICKING $30 BATTLE PASS IS CONSISTENTLY IN THE TOP 10 BEST SELLING ON THE ENTIRE PLATFORM
this isn't anything new and it won't do jack shit to hinder cod's popularity or profitability
The reception to Infinite Warfare was not from COD fans. It was from people who just didn't like COD in general jumping onto a shitty bandwagon meme. Guess what? These days Infinite Warfare is regarded as being a quite good game that was over-hated.
Vanguard on the other hand didn't get nearly as much blowback as IW did pre-release. However once it came out people were confronted with a game that was full of half baked ideas, the same multiplayer but worst, a fanfiction of a campaign and a zombies mode so bad not even the biggest treyarch dicksuckers defend it.
Vanguard's reception is definitely why the series has started to lean more on Modern Warfare again. Back in the early 2010s it leaned on Black Ops and that is how we got BO4. Now we'll have to see if MW3 turns out the same.
CoD 2012 and before are genuinely great shooters, people here shit on them because they care more about trying to fit in rather than actually enjoying something fun
So do I, I remember when Ganker used to hate Halo as well. The original MW2 came out over 10 years ago and even the people playing it as teenagers back then are in their 20s and early 30s now.
Is Nuketown coming back or are we still getting fricking massive maps in a 6v6 fricking multiplayer game.
Even the "small maps" that aren't shoot house or shipment are fricking huge.
Not buying it. Absolutely 0 interest and I bought every COD game. The last 3 were so buggy and broken and missing basic features at launch that weren't fixed for months and the last one was terrible in terms of maps. You have a game called MW 2 and have absolutely no remade maps from that game which you will see in this game while their MTX has become unhinged. Activision used to make a game where it had bad MTX but at least the game itself was decent but not even the game is good anymore.
I have gotten hyped at every reveal I feel nothing and I am already balls deep in other GaaS games that I won't move to this.
The only time I will pay attention to this series is when Treyarch does a game and specifically the zombies mode. Cold War at the end had such an amazing Zombies experience but they never ever build on them. Every new zombies game regresses and maybe at the end of its cycle you have a decent product. I want a good mode day 1 not just a single map and they sprinkle in new things every 3 months. If they do that then I will not get that either.
oh boy another melodramatic call of duty title that tries so hard to be realistic but breaks its believability two missions in
i do not give a single frick about spec ops taticool shooters thats what this series is trying to be
just go back to being cool period pieces and have dumb fun
WaW was full of movie references, full of set pieces and fun memorable missions that were sectioned off
Black Ops was a passion project that you can tell they had fun developing and coming up with an insane story for, something that from the start never took itself seriously and by the end of it, actually kind of made you immersed in that ridiculous shit because the tone and believability of an unbelievable setting was consistent
These games are just straight fricking trash pumped out that people "love" for a week and then drop
The last game reveal dedicated an entire section to the new swim combat mechanics, something that was so pointless and barely factored into the game. If they reveal something stupid like again then you know they are out of ideas.
Is this the part where I point out that worshipping ecelebs is literally zoomer tier and you deny ever defending it even though you challenge my point that an actual celebrity is more interesting?
I never said I wanted anything. I wouldn't be posting about brain age unless you are so old you have gone senile. I simply said Minaj was an improvement over previous choices. The pick is not exactly good criteria for shitting on the changes.

Nah I think when I predicted you would move the goal posts and you did, that was probably more embarrassing.
MWII suckdd, because MW 2019 got a massive amount of criticism from braindead fans and COD YouTubers. They tried to appease everyone and ended up pleasing almost no one. MW 2019 was a fantastic COD game
This is kind of true. People whined about bullet drop and needing to burst and smgs not murdering snipers and maps being too confusing and the sequel just regressed.
There were a lot of cool bundles for weapons and especially operators in MW 2019. The milsim skins were of extremely high quality. The rest of the operators with more identity were largely pretty damn good as well. I remember all of their names to this day. Won't remember anyone from MWII
If you are good at them you get your money's worth at launch. Then you realize nobody else is good after two months and your back gets tired and you quit. Some try hard losers will stick around for BR these days for le epic highlights. A lot of people, especially zoomers, just play for clout that only exists in their imagination. Anyone actually trying to be good at fps is playing tactical games nowadays. Nobody really tries to go pro at cawadooty outside of streaming so it's kind of a friendly environment for adhd shitters.
That was MW2, but for the first few non-Taskforce 141 missions in MW3 it continues that conflict with you fighting Russian military throughout New York City to drive them out of the territory.
is this a remake or a remaster or a new game using MW3 as a title for some reason
I think this one, unlike Modern Warfare 2019 and Modern Warfare II 2022, is going to be more of a remake. Rumors are going around that they're remaking a lot of MW2 2009 maps, which would make it a MW2 2009 remake?
there's already a MW2 remake ya dummy
No, there isn't.
i guess you guys were to young to play it, huh.
>posts a remaster
Thanks for your concession.
you could've just written that you're a moron so i wouldn't have to waste my time.
You said it got a remake but also admitted that it didn't. Stop coping.
No there isn't. The reboot from last year isn't a remake of the original MW2.
you mean the remakes that were already fricking made for mwii's warzone map and simply pushed back so mwiii has more content?
This new upcoming game was supposed to be a DLC package for MWII 2022, but it got turned into a full game. This new upcoming game which was supposed to be DLC was supposed to be like a MW2 2009 throwback nostalgiafest with remade MW2 2009 maps. So now this new game is going to be called Modern Warfare III, but will feature remade MW2 2009 maps. Those are the rumors going around.
>launch your game without much for MW2 content because of whatever fricking reason despite psuedo-prepping for it with the remaster, mostly having crappy original maps as you plan for the big MW2 map set a year later
>turn it into a MWIII game that's going to be carrying MW2 map remakes
Latest rumors were that it was multiplayer only, no story
thats still fake this teaser showed off makarov this game is an expansion turned full title.
The original plan was they were gonna make a single player expansion and include maps with it. Now they are just adding in a couple more maps and guns and then confirmed everything from MW22 carries over.
>that'll be 70 dollars + tip please!
Although no shit story would be an improvement.
MW2019 could have been a solid game as a service game for three years easily.
morons trying to reinvent the wheel instead of iterating on it, happens all the damn time in media.
Here I’ll tell you what happened we poured a lot of work and effort into modern warfare and were repaid with an abhorrent community who all stalked us on LinkedIn because we were related to a project.
Activision sent YouTubers who breathed down our necks with fake smiles and then sent their fanboys after anyone because the game was too camper friendly and the maps were actually maps and not 3 lane kiddie pools.
yeah man piccadilly and border crossing are so amazing
have a nice day immediately
Obvious larp is obvious but this is exactly what happened. Look at what that homosexual blame truth did. Obviously all the talent is gonna say frick it and leave after delivering the best call of duty in years when all they get in return is harassment from the most AIDS gaming community.
>blame truth
There's a name I haven't heard in a hella long time, what did he do?
He sent all his viewers to harass infinity wards community manager. She eventually ended up quitting and deleting all her social media.
He also harassed any dev connected to MW19 most other fanboys followed suit why should they bother to put in effort if cod players still cried?
Good, all iw devs deserve the rope for plunging cod in the darkest ages with that shitty ass game
>Reinvigorates the entire franchise after 5+ years of irrelevance and boring games no one wanted
>"the darkest ages"
hey truth, what's up
Literally the sry state cod is right now cause Iw literally ruined cod with the bundles system. Sbmm, content being drip fed, the same looking game released 4 times in 4 years, zero fun mp and focus on wz that's destroyed cods rep is all on the morons at iw. I hope they all die homeless on the side of the road the Black folk
Warzone era is garbage just like jetpack era.
But enough about ghosts
IW had a community manager? bame truth must have done some sleuthing to find any life in that company
Like the previous two, they need to capitalize on nostalgia because they have no idea how to make a good game even tho it's one of the easiest things in the world to do given the amount of resources they have
It has nothing to do with the original trilogy
its fricking garbage and boring
another video game crash cant come soon enough
gay
every single installment is getting more and more soulless
cold war was pretty soulful
>it's gonna fricking suck
another BORING specops tactic**t shootemup with busted multiplayer and bundles that cost 1/2 the price of the game (70 dollars plus tip). all the bad guys suck Black person dick, all the good guys suck Black person dick, and nothing interesting fricking happens in the campaigns anymore
instant downvote
Already?
This is an expansion turned into its own game they said the shit from the MW22 like the weapons and skins can be used here too
>1 year dev cycle
Sledgehammer made it
>sledgehammer
Oh cool can't wait for garbage low scale babby combat with terrible hit reg. God forbid a sniper has to actually look down range at something. You would think Activision would at least force them to adopt the better engine.
And released close(ish) to Christmas.
The original MW3 was the last CoD game I ever played
It was one of like 2 or 3 that I've still never played. I just didn't care about it when it did come out and never went back because these games never sell for a fair price even when they are "on sale". A 12+ year old COD game is worth $5 tops.
Didn't they make a big deal about how rtherw wasn't gonna be a CoD game.for 2023
Leakers did but it was never confirmed
YOOO were those RED lines? COD marketing so so FRICKING SICK bros
Oh boy, more of the bugeyed black woman bossing you around while a couple of BIPOCS fight their war, their truth .
you game is souless trash lol
They had their chance to save CoD with the new MW2 and it flopped hard. Announcing MW3 is just a joke at this point, we already know it's going to flop.
MW22 is the best selling cod ever....
because it rode off the success and popularity of the original MW2 by having the same name
They made the bulk of those numbers in presales before people really knew the game sucked. It's not about how many copies you sell but how many players you retain... see Halo Infinite and Battlefield 2042
and by those numbers MW22 is still on top keep crying and shitting in whatever youtuber discord you reside in
This. They burned so much good faith, I have a fricking idiot I know who buys every single cod ever released and even he hates this shit
then hes part of the issue?
This is the average codtard who says every cod now is bad but they only play cod
>flopped
your brain on Ganker brainrot
Saleswise, it didn't flop. But in terms of popularity? Yeah, it's a dead fricking game and I think was the last gasp for COD.
>and I think was the last gasp for COD
People said this about Ghosts, AW, BLOPS3, IW, WWII, BLOPS4, Cold War and Vanguard.
They have explored every avenue, there's nothing left to do with it.
>revive the dying franchise
pretty much every game before that was the best selling game of its year or in the best selling games of that year. Hell, a zombies dlc for bo3 was/is the best selling dlc ever
That definitely isn't true.

https://venturebeat.com/business/npd-2018-the-20-best-selling-games-of-the-year/
I don't care about this shitty franchise, but normalgays buy it every year for some reason
BF1 outsold IW, BF1 sold 15 million, IW sold 10.
that's overall, i'm talking about the year it was released in (2016)
Infinite Warfare sold less than COD4.
>tfw cod will die during your lifetime
i dont think its anytime soon but its inevitable
I wish you were right but Warzone will keep it alive sadly
And that's a good thing. It passed its expiration date a long time ago (along with Halo and Battlefield, especially Halo)
Then Modern Warfare II happened.
Normie slop
Nice to see the cosmetics are carrying over, this is absolutely what I want in a military fps.
Roze? We Black Nior homie's now homie!
makes no fricking sense like just go play fortnite or apex
uh oh the /codg/ milsimps are here to cry they cant larp
You're right coherent styles don't matter. Spider-Man can be green and pink. The gears of war characters should all have cat ears. I should be able to play as a hippopotamus in final fantasy.
you can play as a potatoe in final fantasy actually
Reminds me of cod mobile from tencent.
cheesed to meet you
Sorry bro I would do her hard
https://youtube.com/shorts/DYsqQkt8kx4?feature=share
Only MW2019 sold itself on the tacticool shit.
MWII didn't even try.
Because it’s embarrassing larpers don’t play larpers watch YouTube videos
Cod has always been like this. Zoomers need to start coping.
Zoomers are old enough to remember when COD looked like this, moron shill.
>I HECKING LOVE MY NEON LIGHTS AESTHETIC IN MY VIDYA GAEM
Oh boy I can't wait to pay 60 dollars plus tip to get shot at by mexican children for the 20th year in a row
Lol it will release on the same date as warzone mobile.
Remember cod 4 in the winter playing some domination on overgrown? Aah those were the times
Remember when is the lowest form of conversation
>sledgehammer
Im starting to feel like these guys are given the short end of stick every time and were told to turn shit into gold
>short end of the stick every time
Bruh that's Treyarch.
Yet Cold War is still the best out of the 3.
CW>MW19>>>>>MW2=TRANSGUARD
more like treyarch. Sledgehammer games are either downright dogshit or mind numbingly average (AW, WW2 and vanguard). Treyarch gets called every time sledgehammer fricks up taking time from their own game. COD 2024 will be the first cod since 2015 where treyarch has a full dev time (they already took the time to make zombies for vanguard, shitty as it is)
will sell like hot cakes
normalgays and casuals love cod
I can count on you all, not to buy this piece of this this time, right?
poopie?
Count me in, and I say this as someone who thought MW 2019 was decent.
The nuMW2 was so fricking awful that I refuse to touch this franchise ever again.
nuMW2 is already full of Fortnite shit, in fact it has pioneered the idea of battle passes within battle passes.
Black Ops Cold War had a decent one, with choices and different endings like Black Ops 2.
MW2019 had a thing going where it was kinda realistic but by the end of the game you are running around with a minigun, and nuMW2's campaign goes full moron with having you jumping from one car to another for 30 minutes.
youll still buy it see you in /codg/
The night time mission with Soap procuring on site was a highlight for me because it wasn't another loud set piece but a slow, tactical, minimal loadout, atmospheric (not horror) moment.
the only time i've spent money on a cod was when i purchased a used copy of mw1 for the 360.
The silly skins are in every lobby while all the military skins they have and sell are barely there. It seems you guys are a minority here
>The silly skins are in every lobby while all the military skins they have and sell are barely there
Because the 12 year olds that play this game are ruining their parents credit score to buy them.
That doesn't make the skins good or appropriate.
The majority of people are morons with shit taste? Woah...
They've officially ran out of ideas
Every few years a COD comes along where I know just by one quick glance at it that I 100% will not be buying it. Infinite warfare, Vanguard, this...
>Infinite warfare
the campaign is fun you should pirate it
I have not completed a COD campaign since Black Ops 1. I have no interest in that aspect of these games.
Unfortunately i also have no interest in BRs so this series is increasingly going further and further away from my interests anyway.
If the gays at bsg got of their lazy ass and actually got this out before MW3 then it will outsell this fricking cashgrab
It's never coming out. The de-sync will never improve. The cheaters will never be banned. It's time to stop playing dude.
So they're literally going backwards
>First part of their netcode rework is out, still shit
that's how every single one of their improvements goes. I've been playing for years and yeah, it's better than it was, but it's still unacceptably bad in every way. If a battlefield game had the same issues it would be torched online.
>can always just play SPTarkov
pointless just like playing counter-strike against bots. Tarkov is a complete waste of everyone's time
At least cheaters eventually get banned in COD. Tarkov is a laughing stock at this point.
I can't wait till Modern Warfare IIII comes out!
Reminder that COD2024 will probably be after a 6-15 year time skip so park would be in her 40’s or 50’s
IS THIS a REMAKE OR A NEW GAME?
it's the remake of the remake of the remake of the remake of the remake of the remake of the remake actually
its a glorified DLC of a new trilogy
Neither, its not a remake of MW3, but it's not an actual full game either, it was a planned expansion pack for MWII that is going to be sold as a full game because MWII has been bleeding players almost from the start.
It won't have a campaign and apparently it's coop is going to be a rushed zombie mode.
It's also made by Sledgehammer which are the worst of the three studios working on it.
the teaser trailer is just red lines and an old reused character because they have literally nothing to show
It has a campaign. A campaign was planned even as a DLC
Zombies is outbreak 2.0 and has been in development for over 3 years by treyarch
>It has a campaign.
It doesn't, literally everyone who has talked about it has said there's no campaign and that the "plot" will be told through seasonal events and cutscenes.
It's not, the expansion is a bunch of nostalgia-bait from the original MW2.
I know more than you
Source?
MWIII quite literally has a campaign early access
No the expansion was meant to be a story campaign and now they are just making it its own thing
These are modern warfare 2019 fans
I wish that true, but instead we have this
this but unironically, the game's animations changed the industry and lead to every copycat game doing that "hold the mag while taking out the old one" animation style
I don't think any other fps is copying mw tier animations. Literally no one cares about that. Ppl care about fun games
I tell you what. I don’t like having to buy it again every year.
I thought this already came out.
>ModernWarfare3-2
>XboxX
>Twitter is now X
I feel like the people who own everything have gone full moron.
>MW2019
>claim no more yearly COD games
>MW2022 happens
>Oh well, at least they waited 2 years
>MW2023
Oh boy, the eternal activision is at it again I see.
>claim no more yearly COD games
That was just rumors back then.
This year it was going to be true, but MWII bled too much players and the DLC they planned is now being sold as a full game.
Still not buying. Actiblizz needs the rope.
>Nobody is playing our game to buy the planned dlc
>Let's increase the price of the dlc, surely more people will buy it
genius
No, it's more like
>let people forget about MWII and hope this one doesn't suck dick
MW2019 did so well and had so much player retention that they delayed the announcement of the next one until late September.
Not staying with MW2019 and updating and releasing more maps for it was a complete frickup, not only because no COD ever since managed to gain such a playerbase, but because they also killed Warzone with that moronation of trying to integrate it with the current COD.
unbelivable
to me this new series died when activision just blatantly started posting everywhere the special ops mode would include splitscreen, just that it'd be "added later"
Frick them, never buying anything from them again.
>buying codslop
It's the best FPS on the market though
Place your bets: are they going to make Ghost and Soap officially gay for each other?
danbooru art is not canon
Not yet
No, the gays are tactically placed for diversity but also where you won't notice. Under zero circumstances are they going to make cover characters gay, especially Soap and Ghost.
Although honestly can you imagine any COD character actually expressing attraction to women? COD is more sexless than fricking Super Mario.
These people don't have sex, they're murder robots whose AI was fed Rudyard Kipling and action movies over and over.
Closest thing I've seen to anybody expressing a sex drive is Lazlow mentioning she has a wife, Mason somehow suppressing his schizo side long enough to marry someone and produce David(and even then, for whatever reason, David was put into the care of Woods rather than Mason or his wife's family), and Harper hitting on Karma during Black Ops 2.
>battle passes were made as FOMO to trick you into keep playing the game, which is why they give you currency to buy the next one if you farm it all
>COD adds a battlepass within the battlepass that gives currency but can't be used to buy the next battlepass within the battlepass because they only way to get it is paying $30
>buy skins
>but you have to grind for them or else you actually just paid for nothing
The israelites need to be stopped.
wow
now that xbox owns activision this will be on switch like they said?
Nah, but Black Ops 6 might be depending on how they feel about it running on Switch 2.
They said they would release them on the next console because the Switch can't move current CODs.
OH BOY NEW CODSLOP MMMMMMMMMMM
Here's a thing.
>MW2 on release
>runs fine
now
>boot up MW2 for the first time in months
>game wants to kill itself
One of the reasons why I dropped it. For some reason every seasonal update reduced everyone's framerate by 10 FPS and never even tried to fix it.
Most updates broke the game more than fix it too.
One of the biggest COD leakers said that pretty much all the talent IW had was ready to bail out after MWII's release because of how much Activision pushed them around during the game's development.
Considering how much of a clusterfrick all the post-launch stuff has been I think that could be right.
and said cod leakers work for Activision no one left they just didnt work hard enough since even when they worked hard people shat on them
I feel like someone could say that at any point for free attention because that's the kind of news that people want to believe in the first place.
It also checks out entirely though, and seeing how they're trying to do another yearly release when they should have double spaced out releases seems to confirm it.
BECASUE ITS AN EXPANSION MARKETED AS ITS OWN GAME
He said that before MWII even came out, though.
ghost of hope works for call of duty
>t also checks out entirely though, and seeing how they're trying to do another yearly release when they should have double spaced out releases seems to confirm it.
Call it conspiracy, but it's to force people into mw3
That implies that MW3 won't just be more bloat on top of MW2 which is the biggest thing holding me back from buying a new CoD title anyway.
The crossover between them is warzone, same as the last 4 years
Every leaker has said that all the stuff from MWII transfers over.
The player skins, not the maps and gameplay content
It was a planned expansion that is now a full priced release
Did you miss the endless posts saying it will be an expansion pack?
The thing is this DLC is supposed to be integrated into MWII, and some people have said that the reason the framedrops happen is because every season they just add too many files and don't even bother optimizing it.
If this is true MWIII will probably run at like -10 FPS on a 4090.
They made MW19 unplayable to force people into MWII already, it's not like this is anything new.
its just an expansion lol
Priced as a full price game
And with a battle pass, season pass, and microtransactions
$70 bucks + $19.99 bucks + $7.99 bucks + $7.99 bucks + Infinite bucks never stop paying us
>+ Infinite bucks
doesn't really sound like much of a deal.
After MW2 2022, No thanks. Aim-Assist cronus-zen/xim homosexualshit with skill based damage, matchmaking, health and other nonsense. I'm good. Shit game for stupid people.
THE REAL QUESTION: How much Ukraine - Russia bullshit will this one have? The previous one already had IRAN WORKING WITH RUSSIA moments
>campaign
Who cares, they are all awful.
Yeah, it's pretty jarring to see a military shooter with muslims and Russians as the enemies.
>IRAN WORKING WITH RUSSIA
but they do?
Og teasers were better
i literally don't care at all
modern warfare 2019 and warzone were PERFECT
modern warfare 2 sucked ass and warzone was completely ruined
they had a perfect template but insisted on 'innovating' everything into the ground
modern warfare 3 will probably be even worse in that direction
What's better
>Activision decides to do Warzone 2 because they admit the whole "integrate Warzone with the current COD" was a mess that killed the game, and that they would now make it it's own, independant thing
>proceed to tie it into MWII, everything points that they'll try to integrate with future games
Activision is literally brain damaged.
Is Ghost gonna be in?
>nameless
>faceless
>no personality
ZOMG he's SO cool and important.
Cod gays are fricking moronic
Still more interesting and handsome than you
i think he's too popular now to be kill again
Okay, but Ghost appears in the original MW3?
>slice cancelling is back
OH NO NO NO
MILSISSIES PISSING THEMSELVES
MWII just makes no sense in some choices
>game is clearly arcade, skins show they give no fricks about realism
>but remove slide cancelling, reload cancelling and add colission to team mates
It's like the entire thing was made by two different studios, and I have no doubt MWIII will be an even bigger mess.
The changes to sliding, reloads and collision weren't for realism they were for trying to rebalance the multiplayer either to keep compgays from complaining, casuals from quietly dropping off or just to make things feel different so people's brains don't just parse the game as a reskin.
When it comes to aesthetic realism and sticking to the art direction the game had on release it's a cycle.
>CoD game releases with a really clear style and art direction in general
>People who care about that kind of thing like it, casuals just go WOAW NEW GAME, compgays know to expect updates later, the new guns at least keep the aesthetics appreciators on board while the designs are still sane
>Time goes by
>First wave of cosmetics deviates a bit from the core theme catching a few of the aesthetically inclined, compgays get their CDL tracksuits, casuals are getting a little bored of lack of new gimmicks
>Time goes by again
>New cosmetics now begin deviating sharply into flashy bullshit and tie-ins
>Aesthetics appreciators begin to get sick of the game but they probably weren't spending any more money on it
>Compgays never cared about consistent aesthetics beyond readability and both them and the casuals are all lapping up neon egirl skins, batman-esque tacticool black and gold whatever, etc
>Time goes by
>The remaining playerbase is being pandered to with the most flashy stupid cosmetics now with guns that light up like vegas and shoot fireworks, things basically look like a chinese F2P counterstrike clone from the 2000s with the amount of stupid cosmetics
>Even they're getting tired of the cosmetics though and start acting like they thought cosmetics looked goofy this whole time because they're sheep by nature
>New CoD game gets released
>It has all the old cosmetics removed and a clear art direction that permeates through the whole game
>The cycle begins anew
But what the frick does team mate colission add?
It's literally there to annoy you.
In big maps you won't notice, and in small maps it means you'll constantly get blocked and pushed by team mates.
MWII sucks because it's full of these stupid pointless design choices that are there pretty much just to annoy you.
He literally explained it to you. It's different for the sake of being different
The sbmm, forced 50/50 and whatever mtx systems they have now is fricked and it's a shame because cod was always at least fun
>win 3 times
>get matched with shit teammates and a clan of sweats
>lose
>repeat two times before it gets boring
Its insane. I had a 2.something kd on 2019 and every single match was high ping campers using meta guns. Completely unplayable, so naturally I quit. People who go negative every game without a pity win won't be buying any skins or battlepasses so here we are
Just give me more classical gameplay with no sbmm and I'll buy your game day one.

Can you say creatively bankrupt?
And yet, this is the franchise that makes you sell an entire console gen: see sony vs microsoft.
Infinity turd never had any orignality.
I'd take IW games any day over Treyarch or Sledgehammer games though.
Then u are braindead and they type of fan activision loves. Iw will keep slapping the mw title to all their games and make price and friends the avengers so that they never lose morons like u
IW games:
>CoD
>CoD2
>CoD4
>MW2
>MW3 (Sledgehammer co-developed)
>Ghosts
>IW
>MW2019
>Warzone
>MWII (Sledgehammer assisting)
>Warzone 2.0
Treyarch games:
>WaW
>BLOPS
>BLOPS2
>BLOPS3
>BLOPS4
>Cold War (Sledgehammer assisting)
>Vanguard (Sledgehammer assisting)
Sledgehammer games:
>AW
>WWII
>MWIII upcoming (IW assisting)
Why exactly would you not prefer Infinity Ward based on this list?
> Waw- bo3
Back to back kinos
> Ghosts- mw22
Literal franchise killers.
That's why
Treyarch still the best
Even Cold War felt more like a true CoD game compared to all the other recent garbage
and had the coolest new/original video game character in years
Agreed
Sorry, wrong picture.
Adler sucks.
With people going back to OG COD 4 and OG MWII on Xbox and Ps3. Not worth playing any new COD's.
>both are £20+ on Xbox store
Absolutley sickening. Ireally wanted to get both but I'm not paying such exhortationate prices
Maybe try not missing the sale next time then.
as a DMZgay this announcement means literally nothing to me
>modern warfare 3 was about WW3 with Russians
do you think they have the balls to remake that right now ?
I hate how woke and lame MW campaigns are.
They lost their balls years ago. Last missions about mw2 was about killing american soldiers. In the "remake" it's just some private company.
Doubt it because it would be a moronic shift from the other two.
First one was about a corrupt Russian general, and the second was about some muslim who stole a ground to ground missile.
As moronic as the missions are, the story so far has been fairly grounded.
They even have the same patch in the reboot trilogy.
How does it prove that they are private?
They are commanded by a us army general, they have the logistic of the us army, they have the support of the nsa, can call artillery strike, have helicopters...
Is this board moronic
They are called Shadow Company an American PMC in both timelines thats it why even bother arguing this
>They are called Shadow Company an American PMC in both timelines thats it why even bother arguing this
Show me one instance where it hints to that in the OG mw2.
Maybe what happens here is that MW2 has terrible writing because it's a plot made with 10 year olds in mind.
>dude mw2 plot made no sense at all
>but trust me the shadow company guys were private military!!!
?t=221
In the alpha build, it directly implies that the US are behind all of this to weaken russia (they even support zakhaev).
It got probably censored by the higher ups or the us military.
>literal 1v1 on rust
that's sad that it got cut
I thought I was crazy since I couldn't find these videos or the articles related to them anymore.
It seems that Activision really doesn't want ppl to talk about that.
So yea, it reinforces the idea that the OG story was much more "grey" with the US being at least as bad as the Russians, which obviously coudn't happen in a game using all sort of us made weapons.
Also I bet that they had to specify that the shadow company was private later for the same reasons.
Dude they say literally nothing about them in MW2.
If they were random marines they would have just made them marines, not give them their own unique models.
Because they are a special force, just like the 141?
They won't do it because modern day Russia is nowhere near as scary as 2009 Russia. That and the fact that everyone is scared to make China look like bad guys means that we will only ever see terrorists, PMCs, or shadow organizations as the bad guys forever
people are 10x as scared of russia now than in 2009. ukraine has had way more of an impact than any of the shit in georgia or chechnya
Russia is joke.
doomsday clock is the closest it's ever been to apocalypse. i get that you're americans and think you're untouchable but the rest of the world is freaked the frick out by this war
>i get that you're americans and think you're untouchable but the rest of the world is freaked the frick out by this war
I'm from Denmark. The only scary thing that Russia has left are nukes. The rest of their military has proven to be a complete fricking joke with extremely outdated tech and gear. They are basically North Korea 2.0 now.
and you don't think a pariah state armed with nukes that invades other countries on a whim is sufficient to be a villain country in a video game?
>that invades other countries
The problem is that they couldn't even win against Ukraine, so now their army has been exposed as a complete joke. Their entire danger relies fully on the nukes and nothing else.
that war has yet to be concluded anon, it could still go either way
Russia was planning on dancing in the streets of Kiev after 2 days. We're now 529 days in and Russia keeps getting pushed back and losing territory.
> Russia
> Doomsday
Got any other jokes?
crimea in 2 weeks brothers
>people are 10x as scared of russia now than in 2009
u wot m8. Russia is a complete joke now. After their gigantic failure in Ukraine, they can never again be used as "THE BAD GUYS" in any kind of game, movie, show, etc. for the next 10-15 years until people forget about their flop in Ukraine.
>people are 10x as scared of russia now than in 2009
I'm so scared of the army that is getting obliterated by the poorest country in Europe
Am I the only one here shocked that MW2(022) hasn't even hit one year and they already announced another MW????? Did MW2 really do that badly?
the previous episode was so fricking cringe and woke that I dont care anymore
How was it woke? There was barely any plot, just some muslim who stole a missile.
>mw 1
>gloves are off
>you torture and murder people
>mw2
>you kill thousands to capture the iranian
>"tell us where are the warheads"
>"no. and actually I dont do anything wrong so release me"
>"ok"
>cartel girl is captured
>instead of being waterboarded until she tells them everything they just let her be
>you torture and murder people
The most you do is grab a guy's family members and point a gun at them.
>mw2
>you kill thousands to capture the iranian
>"tell us where are the warheads"
>"no. and actually I dont do anything wrong so release me"
>"ok"
They are literally forced by their superiors to do it because apparently it's some political shenanigans, they even complain about it. How is that woke?
>instead of being waterboarded until she tells them everything they just let her be
Because she told them what they wanted.
I'm not a writing genius or anything I'm just some random fricker on the internet but how can you not see that these games are just riffing on the ideas of heroes and villains and wrapping them up in molle vests instead of capeshit spandex.
the best fps ever made is zombie panic, co-op horror, free on steam if u download today
Reminder that it's made by these hacks and they're supposedly bringing back the slide cancelling exploit.
EVERYONE DOES KNOW THAT ALL OLD COD SERVERS ARE FIXED NOW AND POPULATED RIGHT? The new ones are made to make you buy mtx and arent even fun
I was really surprised to learn that MW2019 was released on Steam in March 2023
God i wish there was a Killzone right.
Make it a sequel to Mercenaries instead so you can attract all the morons who want flashy skins with an excuse of them being flamboiant space mercs.
See you all in lobbies day one then
That implication doesn't make much sense considering the fact that MWIII is a thing and not a DLC is because of how hard MWII has bled players.
I get your point because it's not the first time CoDgays have complained endlessly but bought like sheep anyway. That being said I personally didn't fricking touch Vanguard and bought MW2 mostly hoping I could play it with friends and have the same experiences I had with MW1 and BOCW.
>modern COD
troony game
>Rushing out MW3 to basically extend MW2
>Sledgehammer
Oh this is gonna be a shitshow, and what's even funnier is that Microsoft is gonna be taking the blame
>buy cowadooty for billions of dollars
>receive the worst Modern Warfare game to date
Funny how it's pretty much the same thing that happened with OG MW3. Even so, that game had 2 years of dev time, this shit only got 1.
Are they still going to try and convince people that the cia are poor, misunderstood, good guy underdogs?
>all this talk to try to imply MW2 is "based" because you killed Americans
>when Activision literally said that the Pentagon has co-financed the franchise since COD4
They're trying to find idpol shit in a narrative that's as deep as a puddle because this is Ganker
wait what happened to the Treyarch game? Are they just not going even bother with Sledgehammer/Treyarch anymore? I only care about Zombies.
zombiecels really are zombies
Zombies will always be better than Spec Ops.
I hate the new zombies though, I wish they'd go back to how it was originally.
I like the direction that zombies is going in terms of gameplay.
I hate that set characters are now operators though.
I miss the gobblegum/elixir system from BO3 and BO4
I hope Treyarch will give us mod tools since they came crawling back to Steam
Also hope that whatever Sledgehammer is cooking up for it's rumored Outbreak mode will be purely PVE instead of DMZ slop 2.0 with zombies
I personally am not a fan, played like 10 mins of zombies and was turned off by it. I only play custom zombies on PC now
Wish Cold War would have got mod tools when it came back to Steam.
Fingers crossed for 2024
Treyarch's game is CoD 2024.
Treyarch is supposedly working on a game set during the Gulf War and that would be a kinda of sequel to Cold War.
go back /codg/ please moron
>wtf why are you answering people's questions
wtf there is a call of duty general? How could anyone one Ganker make a general for normie slop?
Wow it's almost like your narrow slice of seeing the site as a whole doesn't reflect a universal awareness of Ganker and its userbase.
MW2019 was saved by warzone dont kid yourself
>Treyarch is supposedly working on a game set during the Gulf War and that would be a kinda of sequel to Cold War.
I hope this is true, that would calm my soul.
>so they forced them to rush a campaign to add onto the stuff from the planned DLC and will sell it as it's own game
The going rumor is that MWIII is not gonna have a campaign, but the story will be told through those shitty ass PvE raid missions.
>The going rumor is that MWIII is not gonna have a campaign
Nah, they've already said they are going to release the campaign two weeks before the actual release date.
>they've already said they are going to release the campaign two weeks before the actual release date.
Where did they say that?
In the documents they were forced to show in court a few weeks ago due to the whole Microsoft buying Activision thing.
First beta will be the 6th of October, second one the 12th, early access campaign the 2nd of November, full release 10th of November.
I see. I wonder how they can even make a full game with campaign + multiplayer + WZ integration in just a little over a year. I feel like there's no way it's not gonna feel cheap and rushed.
> I wonder how they can even make a full game with campaign + multiplayer + WZ integration in just a little over a year.
They won't, it's going to be a clusterfrick.
This thing was meant to just be DLC and it's being rushed into a full game by the worst of the three teams working in COD.
Because it’s built on mw22 it’s an expansion
>it’s an expansion
That's what it was meant to be in the beginning, but it is its own standalone game now.
It's gonna be about Drumpf, Jan 6th, and antisemitism
Jesus christ I'm getting old. I swear the new MW2 just came out, how has it been almost a year? Time shouldn't move this fast. Also the last good CoD was BLOPS2.
How long before CoD cycles back to the jetpack era? I give it 2 years.
Considering it almost killed COD the first time they did it, I doubt they'll dare try again.
how many crafting segments will this one have?
>that forced crafting section at the very end of the game
What the frick were they thinking.
It makes sense in the favela level, but in that one is just stupid.
the first one was cool and should have been the only stealth level in the game
I hated how many stealth levels there were
I wish they would just make up a new fictional country at this point so we could have a proper land invasion and modern warfare in a modern city
You mean trench warfare? You codgays honestly think you invade cities like in the old games?
>nothing planned to multiplayer map expansion to now "OH SHIT INVESTORS NEED MONEY, UHH, GET SLEDGEHAMMER TO CHURN OUT A PLOT IN A YEAR"
This is going to be an absolute fricking disaster.
It was planned it’ll be fine drama queen
Wonder if the rumors about the female veteran operator in the campaign is true
What rumors?
MWIII has you work with shadow company and a traitor from Russia. The traitor is a woman who was RGF in the early 2000’s
You meet her injured in the 3rd mission
The rumors are interesting since you play as her in a few missions to get close to Makarov and learn some Intel
Can you sex her?
Time is a flat circle
That's now twice in a row MW3 has been rushed out with a messy development.
Kinda weird.
Yeah I thought that was pretty funny too. At least they're consistent lol
See you day 1
Sure in Warzone 2.0/DMZ maybe LMAO I ain't buying this trash and I hope no one does either they treated F2P players so much better than actual paying players its hilarious
Kek had to dig this screenshot back up from last year. I beat the campaign of 2 and put like 5 hours into the garbage multiplayer and they still refunded me, worst CoD release of all time
Guess I'll just do the same thing for this game which will probably surpass 2 as the worst
>worst CoD release of all time
CoD3, MW3, Ghosts, AW, IW, WWII, Cold War and Vanguard would like to have a chat with you.
Cold War was an actual CoD game, and Vanguard's campaign was more fun than MW2's despite it's multiplayer being unplayable.
All the others you listed are mediocre but still play like classic CoD.
Cold War is unironically the best Call of Duty game to come out in years. Good campaign, fun as frick zombies, old school multiplayer.
CW just got fricked over because Treyarch was only given two years to make it.
CoD3 is an exceptionally different game. To this day it plays nothing like any of the other games in the franchise despite being strapped together in something like 9 months. It's also the last game in the franchise to have a campaign not based around near superhero characters. No other game in the franchise focused on the Falaise Gap.
Cod MW22 campaign was boring as frick. The only two campaigns that beat it out in terms of being worse were BO3 and Vanguard
Except CoD3, MW3, Cold War, and Vanguard have actually fun multiplayer.
>m-m-MUH BAD
You never played those games.
>You never played those games.
I played all of them. You are a moron.
>imagine buying annual cod
why do you end up criticizing and them you keep buying them anyway?
I need to know what's shit in the games so I can talk shit about them.
the campaign was so fricking broken i would crash like twice a mission and every time you crash you have to launch the game again, and then select single player which would close the game and re launch it. also came across a softlock bug near the beginning of the game where the AI teammates wouldn't progress and had to restart the whole mission.
>CoD
Propaganda slop.
call of duty? more like call of poopy haha
Despite the fact that it's still gonna sell like crazy, it's nice to finally see these high profile games getting blowback for their shitty practices, even youtube comments has people overwhelmingly shitting on both this and the laughable RDR port today and for good reason
Only people shitting on the RDR port are PCgays lmao
Only people who think releasing a literal port to a handheld less powerful than my phone, 13 years after the games original release for $50 is anything other than a israelite cash grab, are FAT tendies who are gonna use their parents credit card to buy the game anyway
It's definitely not going to sell that well. COD is well past the point of relevance.
>it's nice to finally see these high profile games getting blowback for their shitty practices
how underage do you have to be to have missed the reception to the infinite warfare trailer and the entire monetization model during that era of cod? and guess fricking what, the franchise is still around and even on steam THE FRICKING $30 BATTLE PASS IS CONSISTENTLY IN THE TOP 10 BEST SELLING ON THE ENTIRE PLATFORM
this isn't anything new and it won't do jack shit to hinder cod's popularity or profitability
I like the games where you could jump around like crazy. I wish they would try that again.
I do to anon. I've been playing exo zombies lately and the exo suits really do open up a whole level of gameplay.
Like it would be cool if it came back as like a killstreak or a limited use time. An alternate Juggernaut suit.
cool
but MW 3 released in 2011
slop
I remember when Ganker hated Call of Duty
We still do, it's just modern CODs have modern reasons to be hated for.
CoD 2012 and before are genuinely great shooters, people here shit on them because they care more about trying to fit in rather than actually enjoying something fun
So do I, I remember when Ganker used to hate Halo as well. The original MW2 came out over 10 years ago and even the people playing it as teenagers back then are in their 20s and early 30s now.
there's plenty of hivemind shitpost threads to run through, doesn't mean every thread has to be the same
Ganker used to be good. Ganker used to be an almost exclusively white website. Now it it's overrun with moronic brown zoomers.
If you were an oldgay you wouldn't be a racebaiting election tourist and you'd know it was always shit it just used to be less shit.
rent free
>Ganker used to be good
>Ganker used to be an almost exclusively white website
Both of these are wrong though you election tourist homosexual
I can't wait for the Soap expansion! Maybe in 5 years we'll get to see what REALLY happend to reznov! Oh boi oh boi
Is Nuketown coming back or are we still getting fricking massive maps in a 6v6 fricking multiplayer game.
Even the "small maps" that aren't shoot house or shipment are fricking huge.
Am I the only person here who plays COD just for the campaign? I'll get it when it hits $20 on Steam.
You vill buy it.
Seriously they know they have 0 competitor, hence why they are allowed to do that.
If they do that then I will not get that either.
>nu cod
No thanks, now that microisraelite fixed the servers I can now go back to playing the real MW3.
Are they fixed on PC too?
PC is still fricked but consoles seem to be fine for now.
Holy boots-on-the-ground Batman, they truly fixed everything this time!
oh boy another melodramatic call of duty title that tries so hard to be realistic but breaks its believability two missions in
i do not give a single frick about spec ops taticool shooters thats what this series is trying to be
just go back to being cool period pieces and have dumb fun
WaW was full of movie references, full of set pieces and fun memorable missions that were sectioned off
Black Ops was a passion project that you can tell they had fun developing and coming up with an insane story for, something that from the start never took itself seriously and by the end of it, actually kind of made you immersed in that ridiculous shit because the tone and believability of an unbelievable setting was consistent
These games are just straight fricking trash pumped out that people "love" for a week and then drop
tldr
>These games are just straight fricking trash pumped out that people "love" for a week and then drop
true
I just wanted to larp as Shadow Company and do Shadow Things...
The last game reveal dedicated an entire section to the new swim combat mechanics, something that was so pointless and barely factored into the game. If they reveal something stupid like again then you know they are out of ideas.
I know it's not a popular opinion but I wish CoD had a BF mode, with true destruction and two armies with distinct uniforms/vehicles.
I was gonna say there is a BF mode but there's no destruction and other stuff you requested. Just large scale battles in big maps
I know, I've played it.
Another idea: let the OP vehicles for players with enough points (with a credit system like in counter strike), so you don't end up with queues.
If the next game breaks records again then I lost all faith in humanity.
A little late to be losing faith in humanity, don’t you think?
For a second remember Modern warfare 1 and 2 on the Xbox 360.
Now look at this image, wtf have zoomers done to the video game industry. Also why are zoomers so obsessed with black people.
To be fair Nicki Minaj is a far more interesting snd warranted choice than random ethots that pretend to understand guns and fps.
> To be fair Nicki Minaj is a far more interesting snd warranted choice than random ethots that pretend to understand guns and fps.
Is this the part where I point out that worshipping ecelebs is literally zoomer tier and you deny ever defending it even though you challenge my point that an actual celebrity is more interesting?
You're a genuine moron for wanting any of this in the game, have a nice day.
I never said I wanted anything. I wouldn't be posting about brain age unless you are so old you have gone senile. I simply said Minaj was an improvement over previous choices. The pick is not exactly good criteria for shitting on the changes.
embarrassing post
Nah I think when I predicted you would move the goal posts and you did, that was probably more embarrassing.
Meanwhile no one gives a damn that Snoop Dogg returns yet again and shoots people with weed bullet effects.
I want to be hyped for it but MWII remake sucked. The 2019 one was brilliant.
I really liked the arcade lightgun bundle too. I'm a sucker for lightguns. I know, it's just a solid coat of paint.
There were a lot of cool bundles for weapons and especially operators in MW 2019. The milsim skins were of extremely high quality. The rest of the operators with more identity were largely pretty damn good as well. I remember all of their names to this day. Won't remember anyone from MWII
I just want my MW2019 cosmetics and blueprints to carry over to 3, not mw2 alone
Come home console man.
>only includes one map pack
Thanks activision, it sure would have sucked if the trilogy release had revived the DLC maps.
It's inconceivable to me how anyone can enjoy these games.
I just want to play CoD campaigns at a reasonable price, is that too much to ask? Put this shit on Gamepass already.
People complain but it still sells in the millions. There's no incentive to spend more to make it better.
What was the plot for MW3 again? Was that the one with the kino fighting in the streets of America and storming the white house or was that 2
That was MW2, but for the first few non-Taskforce 141 missions in MW3 it continues that conflict with you fighting Russian military throughout New York City to drive them out of the territory.
