I appreciate the QoL additions, at this point should be mandatory in these kind of games and you don't need a wiki for crafting.
But besides that, is just bland.
It has better combat than most other ARPGs (although worse than Diablo 3), and it has really good systems, and these two are the two pillars of Diablo2likes (a third pillar, content, is "fine"). The character building system is powerful enough to enable interesting novel builds that have a lot more going to them than just stacking % damage, but it's not bloated, inelegant, obscure and deliberately obfuscated in the same sort of way PoE is. Or, the loot and crafting system is designed such that a lot of loot is useful either as bases or for harvesting skill affix shards, and you can reliably improve items with these shards to a limited degree in such a way that "good" gear is guaranteed, but getting the best possible gear still requires luck with drops and crafting (although without risk of bricking the item, it just ends up being slightly less powerful than the full potential). Which is basically the ideal as far as I'm concerned.
Sure, it improved some stuff over TQ but overall is a worse game, mostly because of the art direction and having worse image quality despite running in the same engine.
Honestly the only Diabe-girlke game that is consistently "atmospheric" is Diablo 1. Other than that I think only D2 act 1 and the Path of Exile area where you go through Piety's laboratory come close to being memorable for their feel.
This, but nevertheless it will eventually fail because, ultimately, it's not POE or Diablo. Those two games are pretty much the uncontested rulers of the ARPG market, and their fanbases are too invested into them to migrate. D4 might be dogshit, it will not change things. POE might have Archnemesis times a million, it will not change thing. Even if Last Epoch were God's gifts to ARPGs, the genre is too dominated for it to matter.
It'll basically be the backup for POE players during a bad patch and/or end of league moments.
doesn't mog D3 tho
>early access
>the devs literally telling people to not worry about reporting bugs
lol
lmao

This game is shit, if it ever gets out of development hell, it will be mogged completely by the next generation of ARPGs.
does it support trans rights?
It has a druid class who can transform into a bear.
Fricking dropped.
Sell me this game Ganker
I honestly can't.
It's the game that does everything right in aRPG genre, according to poe redditors.

The most important pillar of Diabloclones is atmosphere. That is why the only good games in the genre are Diablo 1 and 2 and Titan Quest.
Grim Dawn is also good.

Wolcel done right and with less bugs.
But Wolcel has better graphics.
NOT GOING TO MAKE IT BECAUSE YOU'RE A WOLCEL
This game is entirely populated with POE redditors who will quit the second a new POE league starts. There is no organic playerbase.
Are you addicted to PoE and need a mid league fix? This game is for you. Other than that don't bother. It's not good.
Can I do invite only multiplayer over steam or is it matchmaking only multiplayer in this game?
>takes everything from D3 and PoE
>makes it offline
there you go, GotY
haven't played since april of 2021
what have i missed since then
How is controller support? How does it run on 'eck?
I've been looking for one of these kinds of games that would work on it well.
Runs well on Deck but controller support is ass. Bought it years ago for my PC, so it eventually being a good ARPG for the SteamDeck will be a bonus.
Atm I'd argue Grim Dawn is the best ARPG for the Deck. Runs well, plays well, can be enjoyed offline and online with mods.
Alright, thanks anon. Guess I'll install GD on it then never tried with a controller before
Why don't GAAS gays stick to D3/4 and POE and let other games be offline compatible, non season driven games like they used to be?
