witcher 3 does suck. it has good cutscenes, story is kind of neat. but all of the aspects of actually playing the game suck. shitty bamham combat like the arkham games, ass creed, mad max, and whatever shitty, casual games use the same combat system. the rpg mechanics of inventory management, equipment, skill trees, etc. are horrible, and not fun. detective visions makes it so you don't actually have to pay attention to your environments or what you are doing. way too much downtime between things happening, as you ride from place to place on your horse - it took the worst part of RDR as a positive and implemented it. witcher 3 would have been a good visual novel/tales of CYOA style game. as it is, it fricking sucks and does not respect the players time, intelligence, or ability.

recently someone also released a mod to allow you to bend your attacks, basically you can make a long attacks on demand and curve your movement around to the back of your enemy, it's great
mods won't fix detective vision being shit, won't fix shitty inventory/equipment/skill trees, or the amount of time wasted listening to a horse gallop. even if there ARE mods that somehow fix all this, at that point i am not even playing w3 anymore. i am not going to waste all my time trying to "fix" a game when i can just try and play other games. the backlog is so massive already, wasting time to try and "fix" a bad game is pointless. now, if there is a mod that turns it into a CYOA/tales of style game, let me know.

It was great, had tons of great side quests, the place is well handled, good worldbuilding that showcase a distinct culture and people with their own way of living, the music and the visual landscape was breathtaking.
