I gave it a shot because it's on GamePass, it's okay. The overworld is pretty bland and a little janky despite the simplicity and the focus on more outside-of-combat actions to give it exploration. Combat system is one of the better "add depth to Pokemon" attempts I've seen with the type interactions and how typeless moves are filtered through the user's type, plus the fusion thing, but ultimately it didn't really feel like it had legs and I wasn't into the way the quests I were getting were shaping up so I dropped it after a while. The music getting lyrics at specific times is a nice touch though and it's consistent for both map and battle music.
Maybe a 7/10 if I'm generous, which compared to Pokemon for the past 10 years is still a godsend if you really want a new take.
Been playing this for the last few days, I'm pretty impressed with it. Type weaknesses are cool as frick, self damaging to get a free wind wall or poison on contact is pretty rad. I like how the "shinies" are alt typings instead of just color schemes. Stickers are a cool way to do movesets, gives you so much freedom to test builds. Branching evolution paths are so much more common than Pokemon and some of the secret evos are kino. If you romance Kayleigh as a man you literally frick(fuse) her straight so it even covers my fetish. Usually I would've been all over that little emo bawd Meredith but damn does dyke breaking hit different.
Legendaries are 1/50 bootlegs and for everyone else you can use the candles once you become a rather captain to guarantee a bootleg from your next rogue fusion. It'll be either the last type or last creature you recycled after lighting the candle.
i used to shill this game, because i legitimately loved it for the 90+ hours i played, but it turns out thats because they left the cringe gay/trannie shit until the literal endgame
I legit havent touched it since i found the "uwu im so random" with trannie button on her shirt at the end of the game
>What's better about Sanctuary, exactly?
Literally everything except music. >I like the sticker system way more than the weird talent trees in Sanctuary.
Well youre a moron.
>he avoids a game with fun gameplay because it trends a little gay
Another self made victim of the culture war. Just play games loser, who cares if it's made by gays? Pirate it if you're that scared to encourage them.
Are these people legitimately moronic? Who do they think pushes queery/anticapitalist/multicultural stuff? It's literally only the west. Saying that this combination of British+queer+anticapitalist+multicultural is novel is like saying going to a burger restaurant and having the option to order french fries is novel
The monster designs look like the most uninspired cutsey furry bait shit ever. At least with pokemon they were inspired in biology, folklore and shit like that. Can someone who played the game tell me if they at least have anything to do with music? It's called cassette beasts after all...
some have to do with music like sirenade or her evolution, but you'll find that the cassette theme is more related to the 90's than music in the monster list. there's an "Arkidd" monster who is a skateboarding radical electrical biped made of 90's gaming hardware.
but really all, or almost all, of the monsters are inspired by folklore or cultures or cryptids from cultures. there are 2 bios for each monster, 1 is just the in-universe bio, the second is usually where the inspiration for the design came from. my team's ace is Undyin, based off Jenny Greenteeth from english folklore, for example
I had fun with it but I don't like how the battle system completely breaks down in the post game and the game KNOWS the battle system is broken so it starts cheating with scripts
It's rematches against the game's bosses (both gym leaders and boss monsters) which scale infinitely, one extra boss monster, and two short character storylines+a shiny hunting mechanic.
It's clear they care more about replaying through the game as there's a built in speed run timer and Nuzlocke/randomizer settings unlocked by beating it.
i mean the biggest issue is that it's so easy to break. once you see 'random starter' show up in a vendor (you unlock the passive sticker vendor really early), you can just win every single battle in the first turn by slapping random starter stickers and your highest damage sticker on your beast of choice. you'll have a good chance to attack 3-4 times as soon as the battle starts with moves that otherwise would require a lot of accumulated 'mana' to cast.
>designs are cheap furry bait
yawn
I saw a brown person in the trailer and lost all interest.
vivian?
is this actually a good game
art looks shit
Yep here's a review to prove it
I thought people like this died when Tumblr died the first time
no that's when they moved to twitter
tumblr was the containment zone, when it died they scattered to the winds
>lists pronouns in character creation as some kind of universal objective positive
Stopped reading.
Nothing against the game, but this GUY is a moron.
>YOU CAN BE GAY
OH NONONONOONONONO
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>"monster catching genre"
>literally everything said there is in comparison to pokemon and pokemon alone
I hate these "pokemon is bad" gays
Why are homosexuals such narcissist?
Here's your (you)

>has atrocious designs in your path
It takes better designs than that to compete with Pokemon.
I've noticed that most Pokemon clones don't have dual-type monsters, everything is monotype
The gimmick in this one is that everything is 2v2 but you can fuse your team together and the fusion is dual-type.
So everything is a team battle?
Like Disc Creatures, Monster Sanctuary, all the Siralims, Deity Quest, and Beastmancer, among probably others?

Hey I bought the physical Switch copy of that for $10 leaves
I love that it captures the gen 2 look but the designs are pretty soulless.
>What if we made pokemon but it is somehow even more boring
wew

Really been enjoying this game - just wish Bootleg spawns were a little more generous and there weren't so many redundant status effect.
It's crazy how much better it is than Pokémon.
Legendaries are 1/50 bootlegs and for everyone else you can use the candles once you become a rather captain to guarantee a bootleg from your next rogue fusion. It'll be either the last type or last creature you recycled after lighting the candle.

I played the demo. Shit is sovlless af
>Searched for info on the game
>Found this on the steam page
Into the trash etc.
>diverse
>they're all black
What did they mean by this?
>He thinks diverse actually means diverse.
Anon, these people will call a room of black people "100% diverse"
you can see how mad pokehomosexuals get at every single monster collection alternative
The game is better than Pokemon, but its also worse than Monster Sanctuary.
I like the sticker system way more than the weird talent trees in Sanctuary. Typing is better in this too. What's better about Sanctuary, exactly?

Well youre a moron.
Digimon is the only decent Poke clone.
for me, its roco kingdom and dokev
>Cassette Beasts is unashamedly British, but it's also queer, anticapitalist and multicultural, and it's a combination we don't see often enough.
I refuse to believe people like this actually exist. How do you wind up with a brain like this?

xe cute
These people are like a parody of modern humanity. It's almost sad. Completely detached from reality.
What's really funny is that trans gay technically means straight.
>playing gay rainbow hair shit

Theres a postgame?

If I wanted to play a fun pokemon game I'd play a good fangame like Pokemon Reborn.
never will in terms of human characters' sex appeal
not in a million years lol
Why is Toby Fox there and who pissed on him
