No, it needs to be better than the Dungeons Defender thing, it must be a game entirely made around it, making your own base and protecting your NPCs, invasions but they can destroy your house so you need to prepare, use harder blocks to make walls, use traps and all sort of stuff. It would be so cool!

arpg mode (i know minecraft dungeons exist) but good
buildable vehicles, stuff to explore. less "normal" terrain, more moving parts machines like pistons or stuff from create. auto crafter and the copper dungeons are a step in the right direction.

Nothing. Minecraft is only fun when you're a regular on a server that's big enough for there to always be someone else online, but small enough for you to know everyone else. That's how it was in classic, that's how it was in alpha and beta, that's how it is today. If you don't have it, there's no feature that could make up for it.

It wouldn't fix Minecraft but I've always thought these would be cool:
Magic - castable with spellbooks that can be found as random loot with certain spellbooks being found only in certain places (ice magic = ice biomes, earth magic = underground, etc).
Dragon nests - spawns in mountain terrain. A (smaller, re-skinned ender dragon I guess) dragon flying around a mountain top guarding a treasure trove.
More generated structures - I wanna see castles, temples... All kinds of stuff that randomly (but rarely) spawns in certain locations
As far as magic goes, they'd probably add some ice wand that only slows down enemies for 3 seconds. Oh yea and it breaks after 5 uses.
Make a new game, with a new more sensical build tree. And without stupid, desolate, pointless areas like "The End"

Creeper interacts with the game on a fundamental level by destroying blocks and allowing you to do the same when you craft TNT from him
Fake and Gay, or not; this post does highlight the fact that Mojang is so shit that it took them a decade to include one of the most basic game dev concepts of palette swaps. The fact that there aren't Nether Creepers, Ender Creepers, Snow Creepers, Swamp Creepers, or Cave Creepers is idiotic.
Simple palette swap, change up some of the stats, have a few of them boom on you with less damage but with an added status effect like poison or blind, and give a couple of them an additional design quirks on top of the color change, and BOOM: a simple dash of gameplay quality that should have been included in one of the alpha updates.

Honestly I like having a mob that can actually damage my builds. Makes the world feel more lived in if I don’t clean it up, meanwhile phantoms are just obnoxious garbage.
