This is the one that fascinates me. I assumed that the "Pokemon killer" was actually, you know, a Pokemon killer. When I finally watched a friend play Palworld yesterday, I realized that the two games occupy completely different genres and markets. Palworld is just Ark with suspiciously Pokemon-like monsters, and it's just marketing itself based off of the controversy.
I didn't play Legends Arceus because frick any Pokemon game past the DS, but I can't imagine it's close to Palworld either.

My stance has always been, if you're good enough to develop a fan game, just make your own IP instead. You already did the hard part, hire an artist or creative lead. Do your own shit. Fan projects are hijacking other creative works and there's never a payoff
