I never gave much attention to Greatsword in the base game, and I gave it a go because I had extra mats laying around in MR and jesus this thing is extremely easy to use when you know windows to tackle and charge. That scatter-shot into the third charge is extremely powerful, too. Longsword is far, far harder to use effectively than Greatsword from my experience. I still need to learn countering with LS. Iai seems easier, but foresight slash seems more practical. I keep doing it too early and eating shit because of it.
