It's very likely that the Switch 2 is going to become the new baseline for multiplats going forward because game devs have to make their games run on the Series S anyway and that's a 3 year old budget console with no DLSS support.

Monhon is a game that has had a history of hand held games until recently, including two of the last three games, four of the last five if you count Stories. I'd say that's a sufficient difference to expect monhon but not DD on Switch 2.
I would like Dogma 2 but doubt it. I could go for REm4ke as well. Also, even if the next MH isn't there I can't imagine the system not getting an MH eventually.

Monster Hunter was always supposed to be about living off the land in a harsh environment, having a big open world with dynamic monster behavior that you have to track and learn.

The original vision wasn't dogshit, the popularity of the survival genre in Japan proves this.
Because of the hardware limitations and getting the game out on time, Kaname Fujioka had to half bake a narrative onto the original monhun because many of the game systems just weren't working properly
The whole ranking system in Monhun was completely scrapped from how it was originally supposed to be, the entire point of monster hunter got changed when they were forced to put in a story out of nowhere that made obviously no sense.
Monhun was originally supposed to have dynamic events that would change monster behaviors and cause calamities.
What we have with all the stories in Monhun is just a inferior version of the base vision. A dynamic world and environment that responds to your actions.

Every game afterwards just followed the 1st games formula because it sold without the features, but the original vision for monster hunter to be about a living world that reacted to your actions
Instead they forced it manually as story beats, you only see a small fraction of the original vision of the game in turf wars/invasions
