having just enough time to dodge a charge, draw slash the face, and roll away from the next charge was great.
I can't think of any that stand out at me too much for least favorite, but the first that comes to mind is alatreon.

I didn't even play the old games, I literally said World is my first one. That webm though, seems SOVL as frick.
I will never understand you weirdos but if you played world with a keyboard I'm sure you could configure an emulator to work for you.
World/Rise has binds that made some things easier, it made use of F1-12 which is pretty good. In emulators I'd have to scroll through a bunch of shit to find an item, stuff like that is what is putting me off.

Considering I didn't like playing any other weapon and hated what they did with GS in rise (having not played world at all) you may be right
if they don't revert GS away from TCS I probably won't get the next MH game.

Actually the two bug cost is probably irrelevant with wind mantle or frenzied bloodlust going at the end of the game
The best it has ever been and I fear that they might frick it up in the next(I hope not), overall Sunbreak is the best opportunity to try out SA, Lance, SnS, Hammer, GL and IG

I think in a reality where there is no tackle and it replaces permanently TCS as the third charge attack it would balance this out since its damage isn't overtuned like TCS so it doesn't overshadow the previous charges and without any way to skip to it or reset the timing with tackles then the two points that you made would serve to balance it out.
Is gunlance fun in rise? I've been playing with dual blades and hammer but it's getting kinda boring after so much farming and I want to try something new.
the gameplay is just a loop of doing fullburst over and over and over
it's satisfying if that's enough to give you neuron activation but it gets old fast when you realize that's all you're really able to do with it. they completely buttfricked the slam/poke damage values
You can do some goofy shit with all the cooldown reduction/extra wirebug skills now like keeping every buff rolling or mashing the shit out of bullet barrage

NTA, but play lance. it's pretty fun with shit like insta-block and shield charge, and it's also easy to get the hang of.
