Just beat the final boss. Struggled a lot and took 30 minutes, but did it in the end. Fio jumping up to just slam the boss in the face for 2k damage was fricking cool, top tier waifu material. I like how your friends are actually giving you a hand directly for once and providing Dragonator/Ballista support instead of just cheering you on. So what's the point of the Elgado outpost now that the mystery of the crater and Magnamalo are solved? And what was up with that lone pink Qurio flying away at the end?
Elgado is not done because now you have to deal with afflicted monsters and new threats showing up
And given that Giasma is a literal Devil, the last update boss will likely represent a God
that's a theory i came up with >Gore is a demon >Malzeno is the right hand man of the devil >Shagaru is representation of an angel >Gaismagorm was confirmed to be Satan >We will get a monster based on God
Betting either Amatsu (Heavenly God of Calamity) or White Fatalis (known as the ancestral dragon and even appears in a portal)
>we will get boring old Fatalis 3 games in a row >he'll fight almost exactly the same as IB except with a few new attacks
No, please. Just have Gaismagorm reveal his "morning star" form as an angelic counterpart to his devil status and use that to complete the cycle from sun"Rise" to "Sunbreak" and back again.
Have his fight take place always at night and then have the Proof of a Hero moment occur as the sun peaks over the backdrop of the arena.
Gaismagorm is a thoroughly fair fight. Allmother was just running away and had obnoxious flying platform gimmicks.
This homie just fights. His attacks have clear tells.
stand right in front of his face. every single attack he launches starts with him rearing back. the only awkward ones are the one where he rotates in place, but he should only do that 3 times, and you just have to dodge the initial turn.
Regular Allmother or Event Allmother? Because regular was easy while Event was a legitimately hard fight, but also not really a fair comparison. There'll probably be a super Gaismagorm at some point too.
My bet is she doesn't have a model with hands and cutting a pair from another model would look weird as frick without a fair amount of effort, much more making it from scratch.
couldn't get the remove coat to work so just big breasts for all my females npcs.
anyone got any outfit ones for player character? i saw a skimpy one with pointy nipples couldn't find that mod.
I simply rushed to the final boss so I could get the new 8-10 decos and let my MR build over time afterwards.
Now that I'm MR10, I'm taking my sweet ass time finishing all the quests at my own pace. Knowing me I won't be at "endgame" for a good week.
Took my time to MR4, but I heard the game didn’t backcount your rank so you didn’t get levels for completing other quests pre final boss. So I just rushed the final boss and now I’m back to taking it slow.
I missed the first 2 days due to being on vacation and have probably only played 3-4 hours a day since. I just finished beating Rajang/Bagel; you're just shit and/or slow as frick.
Took thursday off. Dont work fridays and saturdays. Sun, monday was independence day and a floating holiday. So me and the boys spent most of it eating food and playing sunbreak.
Elgado looks great visually but the amount of invisible walls and no-collision objects is really disappointing >Can't get on top of the tallest tower of the fort >Can't get onto the masts of the ship >Can't even get to the other half of the research lab's roof to get a better look through the window
Honestly think I might put the game down for a while, they've so obviously gutted the endgame so they can give it back in title updates that there's barely anything here. I don't even care enough about melding because the melding option is obnoxiously too little improvement over what charms you could get in base Rise.
Yes, that's something you could get in base Rise ignoring the new skills. Literally the only change outside of adding the new skills to the pool is that now you can get a lvl 4 deco slot on them for the first slot instead of 3. That's literally it. Which is pretty much worthless since the selection of lvl 4 decos is so pathetic because again, they've intentionally gutted it to be given back later in title updates.
Yes, actually. It was rare, but you could. So if you played Rise enough to get something considered good in base Rise, it's still a good talisman now in Sunbreak. And I'm not saying "that's it" out of some personal interpretation by the way, the pool has already been datamined so we know for a fact what you can get specifically.
the final boss weapons are really shit. it's hard to make up for that gigantic negative crit because kushala soul was nerfed. you'll probably do better with the final tier malzeno weapons anyway
Not really
Affinity is easy as shit to get now, WE3 gives +50%, CE7 gives +40%, Bloodlust 1 gives 20%, agitator gives +15%, Kush deco gives +15%, etc.
-20% affinity is nothing when it has absurd raw, absurd sharpness, a lvl3 rampage slot, and some nice dragon on the side.
Get the event quest "Bird Wyverns of Ruin?" from the mail cat and grind it until you unlock the layered armor. Don't let the layered armor part fool you, she can talk instead of meowing.
one of the event quests, pretty easy one. i think its one of the two LR ones
Get the event quest "Bird Wyverns of Ruin?" from the mail cat and grind it until you unlock the layered armor. Don't let the layered armor part fool you, she can talk instead of meowing.
One of the low rank event quests also lets you turn your doggo into Amaterasu from Okami. With flowers growing behind you when you dash, and Issun appears if you tell her to wait.
>be me >wish there were a weight slider so i can make my hunter chubby like i am >little sister hears me say this >"anon there's no such thing as a fat hunter lmao" >mfw i feel defeated
bros...
still got the same layered armor from base. Thinking about switching it up soon. Here I am
Yes, the game is great and fun, but what interests me the most is to find out which of all the voices is the most suitable to imitate the laugh of an Ojou-sama character for the gesture of LOL
Not as far as I can tell, frankly I'm excited to see how they incorporate the charge slash permenantly because it's so fricking goofy. You can just dodge as much as you want so long as you hold ZL.
>try to go for it against kush >homosexual just zoom away like he always fricking do but somehow get paralyzed at the end of it >mfw scooting my ass toward his own about to unleash an absurd amount of damages
I wish it was optional whether or not she would come along for the fight. Gaismagorm was rad but it was dampened for me by her constant comments and cutscene attack.
you use it alongside fighting the monster. input the command normally if they can be hit by it, or reposition+save clouds for later in the fight. you aren't supposed to just run around like a moronic doing nothing.
In general it seems element does edges out raw BUT you have to run explicitly tailored sets for each monster and use a lot of uncomfy stuff like protective polish.
Raw let's you get a nice unga set with tons of sharpness for like 98% the damage.
I wasn't sold on his design when the leaks hit but god-damn he's such a spectacle in the game between those energy wings and that fricking breath attack where his red breath turns blindingly white for a second.
Any lance users? What is your opinion on shield tackle vs. guard dash? Shield tackle seems like the same thing just with less mobility. I would use guard dash with leaping thrust I think to close distance quick but I'm struggling to see the benefit with shield tackle altho it does seem a bit quicker to get up
I just slapped shield tackle on the other skill swap scroll and either use it on downed monsters or one that always stay close. Still mainly using leaping thrust myself.

Use shield tackle to reset your poke combo while also doing decent damage (about 75% of a regular poke) and changing your direction (even a full 180). It doesn't cost sharpness and procs O Guard.
Losing guard dash as a gap closer is huge though, but I've made do with Spiral Thrust.
Shield tackle is pretty much a straight up upgrade in my opinion. Its ability to fully change direction instead of doing a strafe is huge and allows you to stick to weakspots like glue. It deals stun damage and massively improves lances ability at getting KOs. It can be chained into any poke/sweep and even a counter thrust which can then be chained into a power guard. It has such little recovery after it that you can even go into an instablock instead. It seems like a small move at first but its actually huge for lance.
SnS's new shield bash is so fricking good, I'm using it to GTFO out of dangerous attacks, guard point, as a gap closer, it beats Falling Shadow by a long shot
Unless they changed how it works for Sunbreak it's a good skill. It was a good skill back in Blightborne where most everything had some sort of elemental blight.
>remember reading a few threads ago about a homosexual who was farming narga mantle >said his group was always capping narga because faster and better drops >he spergs out and says killing gives better droprate >they kick him out >he still believes killing narga gives better droprate on mantle
No, 2 chances at 4% for cap is better than 3 chances at 2% for carve
What it does mean is that you should be cutting the tail regardless even if you don't need a lash because it's a free drop that also has the best mantle rate
Counters do less damage
It means nothing cause they gave it a fricking true charge slash in turn
Also if you feel bothered enough you can use Harvest Moon and inside of that ring the coutners are even stronger than before.
Counter is less damage, Helmbreaker was super nerfed (damage and Wirebug cooldown). But, the new tools they got completely outshine the nerfs so fricking hard. If you're a counter playstyle for LS, you just use the new counter-circle skill to make Special Sheathe even stronger than before, and aggro players can just skill-swap into Sacred Sheathe once they're at Red charge for more damage than a TCS
yup, cures it super fast now, too. it's almost as fast as the animation for using sushifish.
how does the counter for sacred sheathe work
is it meant to be a purely defensive counter that eats a level of charge in exchange for its speed or am i fricking something up and not doing a followup or something
i figured out that you need to hit red charge and then you drain that into the big three hit swing from fully holding down the input on sacred sheathe but i feel like im not doing its counter properly
The Sacred Counter is before the level drain, when your character is being super extra and slowly putting the sword away. it has the same timing to press R as using Special Sheathe, all the way up until the sword clicks into the sheathe itself. after that, you lose your levels and either do the attack, or lose it.
The ones where you choose your hunting partners? I know the Follower Quests give new gear from the NPCs who requested, but haven't gotten anything from the Support Surveys I've done so far.
I usually go back to it every few months, when I want to frick around trying out a weapon I've never used before.
Last time I was playing SnS, just to experience the oils.

You need to manual release before you completely sheath the moment the enemy attack hits you. You will not lose a charge and you can spirit slash combo right after for +1 charge.
>first new hammer skill lets you chain level 3 smashes one after another >second new hammer skill adds 50 damage to your 400+ damage charged swings for a short time
I'm being tempted to walk the path of explosions with IG, though I'm not familiar with the weapon.
Is there a decent guide floating around describing the playstyle?
I'm still only MR3 so I think I'll try crafting Garungolm(?)'s IG since I'm farming him and Royal Ludroth for weapons anyways.
Raw damage is good, right?
>HR7 >Omnidirecitonal threat - Gayzu / Rakna kadashi >nobody is doing it >I don't wanna do it alone
Rakna is one thing but it's at least half an actual fight
I'm about to hit MR5
Why is every person that joins my hunts dying in one hit? Are these stupid fricks so attached to their precious meta builds that they won't forge any MR armor? If so, why the frick aren't they at least using armordrugs or collecting birds?
I feel like half the people complaining about filters have un-upgraded HR armor and rush the monster every hunt
The glitch is specifically if you got 2 of the hidden moves and used them before unlocking the rest. As long as you wait till you've done all the cat quests then you're fine.
>really wanna try something else besides Hammer since im too good with it and playing it all the time is making hunts boring >everything else is either too hard to master or does shit damage compared to hammer
trying LS now but I keep trying to unga bunga with it instead of doing counters like your suppose to do.
You can ungabunga with the LS, just get the skill that give you a sort of dash through attack that fill your bar forgot its name because I never fricking use it and sacred sheath.
It's far from optimal if this is what you want, but hey, it's grug.
yup >slower weapons can't reach tiny hitzones and can't set up damage normally because many afflicted are so fast >short weapons can rarely hit most of the zones unless you spam silkbinds like falling shadow, which sucks to play around >zones appearing on shit hitzones in general (FRICK THIS) >ranged users can hit every zone risk-free and are generally never close enough to get nuked, especially fricking bow which can just dodge bolt through 90% of attacks and aim at any zone they want
just call in 4 players for these, it's clearly intended for that
God I hate when you have to deal with tails, then you get to deal with the monster constantly turning to face you like it's dangling the bubble out of reach
Garangolm weapons are all fricking dogshit, only morons who see unga bunga big attack think it's good. Negative 20 crit is fricking unplayable and will make you a cuck doing no damage with the hammergays.
>-20% affinity is unplayable
bro, is this your first MH game ever? the negative affinity, big dick number weapons are almost always the meta, because you get Affinity boosts left and right
which is weird, because Tigrex still ended up outclassing Narga 90% of the time. losing a tiny bit of affinity to gain all that raw was more than worth it
You're thinking of Gaismagorm dickhead. Besides, +20 affinity is piss easy in Sunbreak anyways, especially when the archdemon has bigger dick raw and the thickest purple sharpness bar none (not to mention most if not all his weapons have a Rampage 3 slot).
Garangolm is an even easier pass.
I've only just hit MR10 so I haven't gotten close to seeing it all yet, but as far as I can tell 3 is the highest for Rampage skills, meaning unless its specialised like Hellion Mode for Dual Blades you can put in whatever you want.
Garangolm weapons are all fricking dogshit, only morons who see unga bunga big attack think it's good. Negative 20 crit is fricking unplayable and will make you a cuck doing no damage with the hammergays.
I also didn't even mention both their hammers especially are crazy in their own right even without the affinity autism.
>any day
homie its a frickton of work to get rid of denuvo, no one does that shit, world just got pirated after capcom removed that garbage. And it took almost 3 years for capcom to drop the drm.
>why don't other npcs want to hunt with her?
Because she goes down literally constantly against anything with decent attacks or even just wide attacks.
you kind of just do whatever you want with gunlance
you can burst spam
you can poke shoot with wide
you can spam bullet barrage
you can do hail cutter wyvern fire spam
as long as you have the right type of gunlance for your playstyle youre good to go
>what's the optimal way to play?
Well for starters, optimal for full burst would be full bursting near a weakspot so your melee attacks that you need to transition into Full Burst consistently actually deal good damage and don't bounce on the off chance you're low in sharpness. Other than that you just grab a Normal GL, Equip Blast Dash+ Reverse Blast and fly around spamming it I guess.
You have a million carts if you if you eat for safeguard or insurance, and you can get fortify for a big defense and damage boost. If you use GS the velkhana set easily slots in divine blessing even though any fire will one shot you.
This is a weird post to pick to discuss this, but what in the frick is causing those weird "shadow" in this game?
The stuff I'm talking about can be seen on her legs here, shit's fricking ugly
the new capcom engine has shit dithering, specially on the shadows. Its how it looks.
Dunno about other games, but yeah this shit had to run on the fricking shitch.
In fact we have terrible draw distance even on PC.
You can increase it by disabling dynamic shadows, but you can still see the limits of the drawbox thing on hills and walls in the distance. Fricking sucks.
I figured a big part of the technical uglyness from the game was due that it had to run on switch but I dunno, feel like they could've gone the extra mile for those shit ass shadows that cover everythings

modeling hard, please understand, even though the P3rd beasts have gone 4 G games without G armor upgrades and there's no longer blademaster and gunner or even Alpha/Beta sets
small indie team
>Why were none of the master rank weapons visually different?
Rise's system is like Generation's, where every single form of a weapon is its own tree, and they have branches for what would normally be the upgraded form. Likewise, every single form of every weapon has a max upgrade, so there's lots of variety. >Why did some monsters not get unique master rank gear?
This is just a really weird trend that I think a lot of 3rd gen and below monsters have, as well as (most) generic armors. They never had a G rank armor design, and were never, ever given one, for whatever reason.
so is there a way to get out of these one shot grab attacks? i've only seen it once on hermitaur and once on rathalos so i don't really know the tell to just start running yet
What determines a Qurio Weakspot breaking? Amount of Damage or Number of Hits, because I can't tell if my Normal Full Bursts are actually breaking these damn things.
Hire kots with different support skills than your own, you'll need'em later on for an MR request in Sol Shatter, in the meantime just use them as meowrcenaries to get free shit.
When hiring palicos, make sure they have status attack up and slugger king. Trust me.

They are okayish when you try to break a hard part since they do fixed damage but most often than not you will do a lot more damage during paralysis than 2 mega bombs + 400 dmg wake up hit

Alright, paralyze it is. Thank you anon.

also if your palico has the endemic life shooter skill . There is a high change it will shoot a sleep bomb and that is most often enough for 1 sleep during a hunt
What do I do when I've done a full burst and need to dodge asap? Eruption cannon is pretty quick and certainly faster than swinging but I feel like I still eat quite a few hits because of it.
Is 'The Devil's Reincarnation' a stronger version of the final boss? When Valstrax had multiple quests it was because he could be fought on any map, but what is the difference between the two final boss quests?
I'm going to take a guess and it's because it's an actual solo quest and not a hunting date with Fiorayne? Or does she still accompany you in the alt quest?

MH6 should be open world, with a focus on bringing back many of the larger monsters like Akantor, Ukanlos, Gammoth, Lao Shan Lung. Swimming returns with an overhauled combat system that doesn't suck.
Yeah this probably the most I've carted in solo play since I first picked up the series, I just got to the Afflicted stuff earlier and Arzuros did like 70% of my health from his shoulder charge and grab
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but some monsters are taking 2X minutes and sometimes 2 carting me but strangely enough it feels "comfy". the fights are great and whenever I cart it feels like I did something wrong
Any GL veterans willing to share some tips? How do you deal the abysmal recovery time on moves like Overhead Smash and Wide Sweep? I'm always afraid to use them because I usually just end up trading blows with the monster whenever I use them
poke until you have an opening then overhead smash into fullburst or rocket blast into them and fullburst
If they're still open do erupting canon or wide sweep + erupting canon
evade extender lvl 2 is the sweet spot for me. Side stepping after a side sweep will give you plenty of room to reposition if you need to, and keep you close enough for another slam into burst.
Alternatively, you could ground splitter after certain long recovery time moves like I do. Just super armor through the monster's next move and take it from there.
This is my combat system. I run Load Shells and Artillery, with Hail Cutter, Blast Dash and Erupting Cannon. I have three movesets I'll switch between; if the monster has run off to beat someone else's shit or gotten distance from a move, I'll Blast Dash in, tap attack to cancel into an attack on the monster, immediately use cannon attack for a full five shell Burst Fire into an Erupting Cannon. Erupting Cannon gives you a damage bonus on melee attacks for a short while, while also being a much quicker animation than Wyrmstake Cannon; I find with Sunbreak monsters, Wyrmstake is just too slow to confirm it's hit and latch. After that, Wyvern's Fire. Then Hail Cutter to remove 50% of my Wyvern's Fire cooldown and then full reload my shells and Erupting Cannon.
If I'm in melee, I'll spam the overhead into Burst Fire into Erupting Cannon combo over and over. Wyvern's Fire whenever it's off cooldown and use Hail Cutter to cut 50% off it's cooldown. With my build my Wyvern's Fire can be used theoretically once every 10-15 seconds, but you'll never get that because of the monster moving around, having to block attacks etc.
Finally, if the monster is really, really moving around a heap, I'll just spam Blast Dash into Burst Fire, reload and repeat. This is usually if I'm in a group and a monster keeps focusing cowardly ranged who insist on drawing out every kill with the monster chasing them for a minute at a time while all the melee have to chase after it like an episode of Scooby-Doo.
For bonus survivability, get armour sets that will give Guard and Guard Up so you can just straight block tank every attack in the game with a few exceptions. Wirebug Whisperer 3 is also high priority for me because it reduces the cooldown on Hail Cutter and thus Wyvern's Fire.
The weaknesses of Overhead Smash and Wide Sweep are more or less eliminated with the above combat system, because your Overheads are really quick out of Blast Dash.
It 100% is. It's in the description, on the wiki at least and it should be in-game. Wirebug Whisperer lets you Hail Cutter like once per 20-30 seconds, so if you're fighting a monster that's distracted you can get off 2 or 3 Wyvern Fires within like a minute if you're really lucky. It makes you feel like the biggest dick around to just continually unload. The hardest part is learning to aim it ahead of where the monster plans to go so you don't whiff it and to also aim straight up when other hunters are close to where you're aiming so you don't act like LS 2.0.

Decided to do a quick gear cheat sheet for what I'm using currently also; Ibushi's set is borderline cheating for how many skills it gives in Sunbreak; the hardest part was random rolling a talisman with Wirebug Whisperer and Speed Sharpening on it. The only way I could optimise further is if said talisman ditched the one unnecessary point of Flinch Free and gave me my third Speed Sharpening point.
>do Afflicted Izuchi online >he's a punching bag who's on the ground basically the entire fight >still takes almost 9 minutes to kill him
HP bloat getting bad I see
If you're farming a monster, the double ones are always more desirable. Otherwise doing quests with different monsters tends to be less productive since your rewards screen will be a random assortment of any of them.
you could already use switch skills out of the wyvern fire recovery on GL but did you know that you could also use the skill swap to cancel it? thought that was interesting
feels like bullet barrage is starting to drop off in effectiveness later on as slam > sweep becomes the big damage sequence and it's getting better to wait for wyvern fire to recharge before using bullet barrage
I joined random anomaly hunts because I needed melding extracts and watched people get one shot by that bear. I hate all the small monster anomalies though, just giant hitboxes that you have to fight like Khezu except they also move around a lot.
I feel insane that I find Garangolm significantly more difficult than Lunagaron. Garan legit feels completely unapproachable most of the time so I just trade hits with him until it dies. His attacks cover too much range at mid range and his rock attacks are huge. Lunagaron feels like a fricking cake walk by comparison.
>tfw wage cage keeps me from playing >already slow enough since i'm playing and making kits for a bunch of weapons >still at MR4
everything seems so fun bros....
when am I supposed to use skyward thrust? the only monster that's nice enough to stand up is somnacanth, should I just have anchor rage for most of the time?
>triple-carted twice to the special Lunagaron quest that had zero ecology including spiribirds >beat it on third try without carting once
Heh, easy... Was just about to finally upgrade my armor to MR too
The Qurio (the red butterflies that are actually just Giggi's with wings for some reason) have a symbiotic relationship with creatures, they find a host who can defend them and give most of the Dragon Energy they somehow syphon out of other living things to this host powering them up greatly. The host, either Malzeno or Gaismagorm in this case, help the Qurio by hunting other creatures that threaten the swarm and sharing their meals.
Basically, the Qurio syphon Dragon Energy from Monsters and gives it to these two guys so they can go Super Saiyan/Final Form Dracula.
And no, it is not explained why everything just has Dragon Energy now.
Probably, but it's not covered. It isn't important though, I guess.
Is it ever specified that it's Dragon Energy? Or is it just magic (ie bioenergy)?
>Is it ever specified that it's Dragon Energy?
Not in words but, >Dragon Energy is red >Qurio glow red >Malzeno and Gaismagorm both glow red when using the Qurio Powerade >Malzeno and Gaismagorm are both monsters who use the Dragon element
It's possible the Qurio don't originally glow and just take blood back to the host, where that blood is then converted to dragon energy inside the host and the syphoned out again by the Qurio.
Like, the hosts could be the equivalent of a water filter.
I'm not clear on how malzeno or gainsgolem actually have a symbiotic relationship with the qurios, especially the latter since it also crystalizes them
i just want a functional moveset rather than these stupid moveset changes. I honestly didnt mind hunting styles in generations, but this overemphasis on meta-cizing and by extension adding overbearing moves to weapons has homogenized the weapon pool and created the worst tendencies in monster design this series has had since non telegraph charges. everything gets counters or dps super moves or iframes. switch skills are the root of the worst problems in rise.
Do you have brain damage

you are doing the equivalent of saying that absolute evasion isnt a hunting art. you cant have silkbind attacks without switch skills.

You're so fricking stupid it hurts. Absolute evasion is tied to hunter arts. Hunter arts are literally just that, a bunch of skills that charge up when you hit the monster
Switch skills don't just contain the wirebug skills, they also have shit like compressed vs zsd, surge slash vs charge, special sheathe vs sacred sheathe

>Switch skills don't just contain the wirebug skills, they also have shit like compressed vs zsd, surge slash vs charge, special sheathe vs sacred sheathe
Its incredible how you completely proved my point. Even the non silk binds homogenize the weapons. Now you will either go back and forth pretending that you didnt say this and continue to imply this is about silk binds only, then saying that switch skills arent just silk binds,
Or you will concede and we can move on.

>you cant have silkbind attacks without switch skills.
But you can have switch skills without silkbinds, moron. Switch skills are fantastic for allowing a single weapon to have multiple playstyles, with more flexibility and customization than hunting styles.
I understand not wanting wirebug moves to come back but why wouldn't you want switch skills to return? It's just more customizability for your weapon and playstyle
>We discovered a new monster that has a strange effect on the landscape. It gives things living here new abilities, including hunters! >All monsters and weapons get new magical attacks >this is the gimmick for MH6
Hello I fricking l o v e lance.
I want to also get into gunlance.
Any tips or neat things to know? In what ways is it like lance or not like lance. Can I play super aggressive
just fought malzeno for the first time with GS, i cant remember the last time i had such an unfun time playing monster hunter. probably the triple apex arena quest in 4u.
Are you using the surge slash combo or tradition GS? Because I picked up GS for the first time and I'm all in on the surge slash combo. Am I in for a bad time?
>Rathian went from braindead easy to spamming the poison air spin and charging non fricking stop
She's like all her worst qualities x10. Who the frick thought this was a good idea? b***h never stops moving ever.
>intro cutscene >"oh so it's just spiky rathian" >it is spiky rathian >beat his ass so hard because all his moves look like someone else's
weird monster
>almudron wriggling around like a gay shaking my camera frick's know where and half clipping into walls and shit
how the frick did this monster get the greenlight, saying it's even barely functional is insulting
>no apron
Just beat the final boss. Struggled a lot and took 30 minutes, but did it in the end. Fio jumping up to just slam the boss in the face for 2k damage was fricking cool, top tier waifu material. I like how your friends are actually giving you a hand directly for once and providing Dragonator/Ballista support instead of just cheering you on.
So what's the point of the Elgado outpost now that the mystery of the crater and Magnamalo are solved? And what was up with that lone pink Qurio flying away at the end?
I'm going to pick up Gunlance just so I can Blast Dash myself directly up Fiorayne's ass
Elgado is not done because now you have to deal with afflicted monsters and new threats showing up
And given that Giasma is a literal Devil, the last update boss will likely represent a God
>Gaismagorm Redeemed
The flying serpents kinda fit with the god theme, so maybe why not go with alien stuff? Also grigori for collab monster release
I think white fatalis should be pretty in line with the god theme
that's a theory i came up with
>Gore is a demon
>Malzeno is the right hand man of the devil
>Shagaru is representation of an angel
>Gaismagorm was confirmed to be Satan
>We will get a monster based on God
Betting either Amatsu (Heavenly God of Calamity) or White Fatalis (known as the ancestral dragon and even appears in a portal)
clearly we will get the flying spaghetti monster
>we will get boring old Fatalis 3 games in a row
>he'll fight almost exactly the same as IB except with a few new attacks
>And what was up with that lone pink Qurio flying away at the end?
Wasn't that the one that spread to cause the afflicted monsters?
I found the final boss to be incredibly easy. All Mother was far harder in comparison.
Gaismagorm is a thoroughly fair fight. Allmother was just running away and had obnoxious flying platform gimmicks.
This homie just fights. His attacks have clear tells.
>His attacks have clear tells.
I must be blind then. I couldn’t tell what the frick was going on with that fight.
stand right in front of his face. every single attack he launches starts with him rearing back. the only awkward ones are the one where he rotates in place, but he should only do that 3 times, and you just have to dodge the initial turn.
I think his only attack i would consider unpredictable is when he lays down and literally starts drifting across arena
Regular Allmother or Event Allmother? Because regular was easy while Event was a legitimately hard fight, but also not really a fair comparison. There'll probably be a super Gaismagorm at some point too.
Regular.
Narwa is the equivalent to Gaismagorm, not Allmother.
It's,
>Gaismagorm > Narwa > Ibushi
why the FRICK have my palicos abilities been rerolled
i dont remember hitting any reroll buttons
Lottery skill bug. Thankfully you can select moves later
you can only switch out the one move though cant you? or have i missed something
my boy got royally fricked up
You can eventually switch all of them aside from the two locked in by Palico type, plus you can unlock training to get them any passives
Bros
very interesting
does chain crit work with all the discharge hits?
Yup. All multihit moves seem to work.
Amazing to make charge blade axespinner stuff work since it basically immediately charges to the max.
what pieces?
Night Bringer Axe - Tenderizer / Brace / Elembane rampage
Astalos Helm - Jumping israeliteel + / Critical / Grinder
Malzeno Mail - Expert / Grinder
Alloy Vambraces - Expert / Stream 1
Archfiend Waist - Crit Element+
Kadachi greaves - Expert / Stream 1
Talisman: (3 Rapid Morph 1 Speed Sharpening) Lvl 2 Slot - Stream israeliteel+
The Talisman is the bomb
Can be used for the fire Almud axe too
Need help with deciphering this video on what armor and decos this guy used to get that passive healing.
malzeno body for level 1 blood rite
Kushala blessing has healing, doesn't it?
>no apron
cringe mod
Should be the opposite, an apron + gloves and nothing else
...and that exists so frick me I guess
for me its
Why the gloves? They look moronic as hell on an almost naked body
>Game was released 5 days ago
>Everyone rushed throught MR and it's now at the endgame
>While I'm taking my time in MR3
Are everyone neets or something?
you are just trash.
>Are everyone neets or something?
Obviously. I've got 57 hours in Sunbreak already.
I simply rushed to the final boss so I could get the new 8-10 decos and let my MR build over time afterwards.
Now that I'm MR10, I'm taking my sweet ass time finishing all the quests at my own pace. Knowing me I won't be at "endgame" for a good week.
"Home office"
Took my time to MR4, but I heard the game didn’t backcount your rank so you didn’t get levels for completing other quests pre final boss. So I just rushed the final boss and now I’m back to taking it slow.
Same here, it's all chill hunting spread out until August for the title update
I spend 200 hours building sets and another 200 playing weapons.
>Took my sweet time
>MR34
>G-AR3
>HR238
How do you go so slow?
I'm at MH4 - I do a few hunts a day because I'm not impressed at all with Rise. I'll beat it and probably go back to GU for my MH fix
>Are everyone neets or something?
where do you think you are?
I missed the first 2 days due to being on vacation and have probably only played 3-4 hours a day since. I just finished beating Rajang/Bagel; you're just shit and/or slow as frick.
Dont worry anon. Endgame isnt out yet. Crapcom left the final part of the story as later dlc...
Took thursday off. Dont work fridays and saturdays. Sun, monday was independence day and a floating holiday. So me and the boys spent most of it eating food and playing sunbreak.
I am taking my time with it too. It's not like any other games are coming out. Haven't triple carted to anything yet, Gore Magala up next.
Finally, some real character diversity instead of everyone being chinks. Old blacksmith literally looked like asiatic joe biden.
Elgado looks great visually but the amount of invisible walls and no-collision objects is really disappointing
>Can't get on top of the tallest tower of the fort
>Can't get onto the masts of the ship
>Can't even get to the other half of the research lab's roof to get a better look through the window
Honestly think I might put the game down for a while, they've so obviously gutted the endgame so they can give it back in title updates that there's barely anything here. I don't even care enough about melding because the melding option is obnoxiously too little improvement over what charms you could get in base Rise.
>melding option is obnoxiously too little improvement over what charms you could get in base Rise.
I dunno anon
It all boils down to pure RNG
Yes, that's something you could get in base Rise ignoring the new skills. Literally the only change outside of adding the new skills to the pool is that now you can get a lvl 4 deco slot on them for the first slot instead of 3. That's literally it. Which is pretty much worthless since the selection of lvl 4 decos is so pathetic because again, they've intentionally gutted it to be given back later in title updates.
>Yes, that's something you could get in base Rise
You could get 3 level 2 skills, one level 3 skill and one free level 2 slot?
Yes, actually. It was rare, but you could. So if you played Rise enough to get something considered good in base Rise, it's still a good talisman now in Sunbreak. And I'm not saying "that's it" out of some personal interpretation by the way, the pool has already been datamined so we know for a fact what you can get specifically.
>Malzeno weapons look so good I don't want to use any of the final boss ugly ass MMO tier weapons
Help...
Wut do
the final boss weapons are really shit. it's hard to make up for that gigantic negative crit because kushala soul was nerfed. you'll probably do better with the final tier malzeno weapons anyway
lol
lol
every single weapon has better shit than the final boss weapons in the end of the r10 trees anyway
Not really
Affinity is easy as shit to get now, WE3 gives +50%, CE7 gives +40%, Bloodlust 1 gives 20%, agitator gives +15%, Kush deco gives +15%, etc.
-20% affinity is nothing when it has absurd raw, absurd sharpness, a lvl3 rampage slot, and some nice dragon on the side.
most of those are a pain in the ass to slot besides wex and agitator if you have other weapon skills you want.
That huge natural purple is the real kicker, being able to stay at purple for so long without any sharpness skills is potent shit
i use the shagaru gs because its pretty 🙂
weapon layer mod
No, that's my cumdump.
STATUS OF HER PUBIC HAIR??
Remember to take Tsukino along with you in your hunts
how do I get her shes kinda cute for a cat that is
one of the event quests, pretty easy one. i think its one of the two LR ones
Shit like this is why I take my time with mh
I wonder how many people missed these badass layered armor sets?
POST HUNTERS
That's Ganker as frick
Still MR 3
how do i take in game pictures
Use the command bar with the dpad and go to camera then click in the left stick to make it third person.
Dimpy I know you're out there.
You're based.
I really likes the new coat
Which palamute armor is that?
I'm still working my way through base game.
Don't have a recent screenshot but I'm still using the same layered set.
Pretty fly for a white guy
Owlboy!
>be me
>wish there were a weight slider so i can make my hunter chubby like i am
>little sister hears me say this
>"anon there's no such thing as a fat hunter lmao"
>mfw i feel defeated
bros...
still got the same layered armor from base. Thinking about switching it up soon. Here I am
the gacha game has a fatty
I will not stoop myself so low
Hinoa's a fatty fat fat who just sits on her ass and eats dango all day and she can hunt just fine
Hinoa is also fictional.
her race has a high metabolism
Seregios isn't even hard to fight in this game.
cute bimbo
Her breasts aren't that big.
How much guard do I need for lance?
Yes
are you a speed runner? 0-3
are you a normal player who blocks a lot of shit? 5
Thanks
Do I need guard up too?
yeah but it's going to come on the Bazel pieces anyways I think 1-2
Yes, the game is great and fun, but what interests me the most is to find out which of all the voices is the most suitable to imitate the laugh of an Ojou-sama character for the gesture of LOL
I'm not mad at that, LS is the only weapon in the game that got worse in Sunbreak compared to base Rise.
>
Why does everyone say it was nerfed? I'm dealing a shitton of damage especially with my new charge slash.
you can't spam helm splitter anymore
Who the frick used helm splitter when quickdraw is so much better.
they nerfed pre existing moves to compensate for new powerful moves, the nerfs aren't bad enough to make a difference
Not as far as I can tell, frankly I'm excited to see how they incorporate the charge slash permenantly because it's so fricking goofy. You can just dodge as much as you want so long as you hold ZL.
>try to go for it against kush
>homosexual just zoom away like he always fricking do but somehow get paralyzed at the end of it
>mfw scooting my ass toward his own about to unleash an absurd amount of damages
Swiggity swooty baby, I was able to get 1600 in one hit on a sleeping anjinath
Reminder don’t trust any speedruns on pc
>Metsu Shoryugekis your final boss
>proceeds to fangirl about you so hard the entire hub is eventually talking about it
I wish it was optional whether or not she would come along for the fight. Gaismagorm was rad but it was dampened for me by her constant comments and cutscene attack.
There'll probably be a souped-up event quest without Fio down the line
She knows the way to a Hunter's heart is by helping them kill a giant Monster in the coolest way possible.
That and Food.
Is Elemental Glaive worth trying now or is Raw still meta?
Elemental? Raw? What the frick are you talking about, you cast explosions.
this isn't iceborne
My Dude
That damage seems pretty shit compared to what you could do in the equivalent amount of time by just attacking the monster
you use it alongside fighting the monster. input the command normally if they can be hit by it, or reposition+save clouds for later in the fight. you aren't supposed to just run around like a moronic doing nothing.
In general it seems element does edges out raw BUT you have to run explicitly tailored sets for each monster and use a lot of uncomfy stuff like protective polish.
Raw let's you get a nice unga set with tons of sharpness for like 98% the damage.
I beat the game but still haven't unlocked layered MR armor. How do I get it?
MR10 Quest
MR7
I wasn't sold on his design when the leaks hit but god-damn he's such a spectacle in the game between those energy wings and that fricking breath attack where his red breath turns blindingly white for a second.
>and that fricking breath attack where his red breath turns blindingly white for a second.
Yeah that was some shit straight out of Gurren Lagan.
Any lance users? What is your opinion on shield tackle vs. guard dash? Shield tackle seems like the same thing just with less mobility. I would use guard dash with leaping thrust I think to close distance quick but I'm struggling to see the benefit with shield tackle altho it does seem a bit quicker to get up
Offensive guard memes
Ok thanks
Chich!
Playing Anomaly Quests with randoms is certainly an experience.
But I need all those new Outfit Vouchers. I must unlock all the Fashion!.
She should be forging my children inside her belly.
>final boss weapons have chuuni descriptions
god I love it when MH does this. some of the valstrax ones always got me good.
what's the best controller for bow on PC?
the PlayStation DS4 for claw grip?
the series x controller is awful
Why don't you just switch to mouse and keyboard at that point?
SnS's new shield bash is so fricking good, I'm using it to GTFO out of dangerous attacks, guard point, as a gap closer, it beats Falling Shadow by a long shot
>required to fight Ibushi and Narwa again
I hate both of these fricking monsters. Neither are fun.
>Yfw you unlock the Guildmarm armour set.
>Dereliction
Is this skill as good as it sounds?
I hear the attack buff is +35 at level 3 when maxed.
Is coalescence good? It's sounds nice on paper
Unless they changed how it works for Sunbreak it's a good skill. It was a good skill back in Blightborne where most everything had some sort of elemental blight.
What's a good full armor set to make if I don't want to think?
Rathalos
how do you even prevent bleed?
Prevent? Don't get hit lmao
Cure? Crouch for a couple seconds or eat some meat, like a well done steak or some fish.
I honestly forgot crouching was even a thing in the game.
Its easy to remember when you want to watch the modded armor butt jiggles
how about i stab you and you can prevent it by eating meat or crouching, homosexual
You need to stab me first, mate.
>Don't get hit lmao
my knife has a big hitbox
I have many i-frames
Silkbind boost exists in the Game?
It's a two or three Deco?
anyone got some sliders to make a cute huntress?
does no one play with monster hunter language? why is it so hard to find fio's mon hun voice?
>remember reading a few threads ago about a homosexual who was farming narga mantle
>said his group was always capping narga because faster and better drops
>he spergs out and says killing gives better droprate
>they kick him out
>he still believes killing narga gives better droprate on mantle
lmao
>carves
>body only 2%
>tail 5%
>listed as 5%
those dirty bastards
wait doesn't the 5% from carves + tail make it better?
you can carve tail and cap so its 4+5 cap or 2+5 carve
No, 2 chances at 4% for cap is better than 3 chances at 2% for carve
What it does mean is that you should be cutting the tail regardless even if you don't need a lash because it's a free drop that also has the best mantle rate
>Mustards having to download mods to unnerf longsword
Will they never learn?
longsword was nerfed??
I KEEP KNOCKING MY FRIENDS AWAY WITH BULLET BARRAGE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
THEY SHOULD BE CAREFUL AND MIND THEIR SPACING, MAKE WAY FOR GUNLANCE.
Crash Reportergay here, finally got my shit to work:
>disable nahimicsvc43.exe
glad you got it to work anon
Fricking finally. Took 'em long enough to make a cutie tomboy blacksmith. I guess better late than never.
>get hit with bleed
>no wirebugs
>oh lawd he comin
Does kneeling still heal bleed?
yup, cures it super fast now, too. it's almost as fast as the animation for using sushifish.
The Sacred Counter is before the level drain, when your character is being super extra and slowly putting the sword away. it has the same timing to press R as using Special Sheathe, all the way up until the sword clicks into the sheathe itself. after that, you lose your levels and either do the attack, or lose it.
steve is the same Black person as I remember him in 4U. Constant chip damage until all of a sudden you're 20% HP and he's going for the killing blow
What's the point of doing Support Surveys? Is it just an option to farm certain monsters for the friendless/onlinelets?
You get new armours and weapons.
The ones where you choose your hunting partners? I know the Follower Quests give new gear from the NPCs who requested, but haven't gotten anything from the Support Surveys I've done so far.
Does anyone still play GU?
I usually go back to it every few months, when I want to frick around trying out a weapon I've never used before.
Last time I was playing SnS, just to experience the oils.
I played some the week before Sunbreak dropped.
was until sunbreak. solod all the way through grank but was kinda getting filtered by hyper/savage jho on my way to making the cena set.
how does the counter for sacred sheathe work
is it meant to be a purely defensive counter that eats a level of charge in exchange for its speed or am i fricking something up and not doing a followup or something
i figured out that you need to hit red charge and then you drain that into the big three hit swing from fully holding down the input on sacred sheathe but i feel like im not doing its counter properly
You need to manual release before you completely sheath the moment the enemy attack hits you. You will not lose a charge and you can spirit slash combo right after for +1 charge.
is the almudron set a good one for switch axe? or should i be going for something with more attack?
I run the two pieces that give me full rapid morph (I think the helmet and arms). Then, just mash that fricking R-button.
oh okay so i should just go for the rapid morph and not the razor sharp thing on it?
Almudron is honestly insane for SA since it appreciates every skill it gives. You could run that shit to endgame
There's legitimately very strong Weapon and Armor Designs in Sunbreak.
Heavy Knight set and Royal Order's Pledge? Pure kino.
How the hell do I do the math to determine whether or not it's worth it to run elemental?
I cannot consistently use Redirect to save my life. It hurts bros
I want separate hunter ranks for the different weapons so I'm more motivated to autismo grind everything in this game.
Do gunners on PC play kbm? my USB cable or my controller is starting to eat shit and annoying me, but playing blademaster on kbm sounds super weird.
I tried for a bit, but I have too much MH association with controller to. It's one of the few games I prefer KB+M over controller.
I've used m+kb with bow and it was fine, but you never have to aim enough in MH for a controller to feel that bad
I hope they add more supporters like Paz, such nice designs wasted on just npcs standing there or just being dlc voices.
>first new hammer skill lets you chain level 3 smashes one after another
>second new hammer skill adds 50 damage to your 400+ damage charged swings for a short time
I'm being tempted to walk the path of explosions with IG, though I'm not familiar with the weapon.
Is there a decent guide floating around describing the playstyle?
I'm still only MR3 so I think I'll try crafting Garungolm(?)'s IG since I'm farming him and Royal Ludroth for weapons anyways.
Raw damage is good, right?
is world alatreon hard with gunlance? shelling doesn't do element right?
shelling does a teensy tiny amount of element iirc
how do i into insect glaive
i would like to spend the majority of my time hitting the monster with the stick if possible
Genuinely hope that whoever designed Almudron gets hit by a bus
I swear to god that fricking Black person spend half the hunt clipping into walls
He's the worst parts of a leviathan and najarala in one monster
>HR7
>Omnidirecitonal threat - Gayzu / Rakna kadashi
>nobody is doing it
>I don't wanna do it alone
Rakna is one thing but it's at least half an actual fight
Espinas is such a good monster I hope he’s in mh6 along with more frontier armors
why is his charge attack the most damaging move in the game though, only thing that 1 shot me in my playthrough
Because they hate the idea of a monster staying alive for 15 to 20 or so minutes.
But collecting birds takes like 60 seconds tops
Drugs and Armor takes 0 seconds during a hunt
they are waiting for youtubers to tell them new meta builds, or really want to get malzeno over with.
If they think Frankenstein gorilla or werewolf is annoying, boy are they gonna hate the further MR monsters.
The buffs for evade extenders made those c**ts so damn easy its hilarious.
Even with MR build I collect the birds, I ran Barioth because I'm a filthy LSgays and shit still dealt humongous amount of damages
>REEEE
>REEEEEEE
>REEEEE
*pauses for a second*
>REEEEEEEEE
>the average monster hunter player
Is Rise significantly different enough compared to World to warrant buying on sale?
Sure
I've been too scared to mess with my cats because I heard about a glitch that changed all their skills. Is that something I need to worry about?
just dont give them the lottery ability and youll be fine
or just have another set of cats with lottery and enjoy the kittenators
Oh shit, what? I gave my cat lottery, what have I done?
The glitch is specifically if you got 2 of the hidden moves and used them before unlocking the rest. As long as you wait till you've done all the cat quests then you're fine.
Wtf I have equipped the first two I got.
What the frick is this glitch your talking about
breed
>really wanna try something else besides Hammer since im too good with it and playing it all the time is making hunts boring
>everything else is either too hard to master or does shit damage compared to hammer
trying LS now but I keep trying to unga bunga with it instead of doing counters like your suppose to do.
You can ungabunga with the LS, just get the skill that give you a sort of dash through attack that fill your bar forgot its name because I never fricking use it and sacred sheath.
It's far from optimal if this is what you want, but hey, it's grug.
Holy shit the afflicted monsters are horrible. The way they are designed makes certain weapons completely useless against them.
yup
>slower weapons can't reach tiny hitzones and can't set up damage normally because many afflicted are so fast
>short weapons can rarely hit most of the zones unless you spam silkbinds like falling shadow, which sucks to play around
>zones appearing on shit hitzones in general (FRICK THIS)
>ranged users can hit every zone risk-free and are generally never close enough to get nuked, especially fricking bow which can just dodge bolt through 90% of attacks and aim at any zone they want
just call in 4 players for these, it's clearly intended for that
God I hate when you have to deal with tails, then you get to deal with the monster constantly turning to face you like it's dangling the bubble out of reach
>mfw trying out new lance
Now if only you could do damage
Whaddaya mean, it got buffed into the stratosphere
damage, you say?
whats the catch here this seems too strong for how spammable it is
You need a tall monster to get more than 2 hits on it.
When I start missions I keep getting a message saying I have new helper rewards.
Does anyone know what this is about?
You get extra reward for doing lesser quest
So it's because I am joining lower ranked hunts?
yes
Lancebro should i change the spear with garangolm lance?
Garangolm weapons are all fricking dogshit, only morons who see unga bunga big attack think it's good. Negative 20 crit is fricking unplayable and will make you a cuck doing no damage with the hammergays.
any recommend lance to use?
>Garangolm weapons are all fricking dogshit
Its heavybowgun is not too shabby, makes lower MR hunts comfy with guard boosts.
The shotgun is pretty fun.
I accidentally skipped story hunts because of joining random quests.
>-20% affinity is unplayable
bro, is this your first MH game ever? the negative affinity, big dick number weapons are almost always the meta, because you get Affinity boosts left and right
Everyone's still in Rise mode where Narga was king because WEX + a bit of crit eye to perfectly hit 100% was about the best you could do
which is weird, because Tigrex still ended up outclassing Narga 90% of the time. losing a tiny bit of affinity to gain all that raw was more than worth it
You're thinking of Gaismagorm dickhead. Besides, +20 affinity is piss easy in Sunbreak anyways, especially when the archdemon has bigger dick raw and the thickest purple sharpness bar none (not to mention most if not all his weapons have a Rampage 3 slot).
Garangolm is an even easier pass.
what are the good level 3 rampage skills? The only one I use is the level 1 spirit bug doubler
I've only just hit MR10 so I haven't gotten close to seeing it all yet, but as far as I can tell 3 is the highest for Rampage skills, meaning unless its specialised like Hellion Mode for Dual Blades you can put in whatever you want.
Kush soul, it's chain crit
kushala soul might be the only rampage deco actually worth running in anything
meant for
I also didn't even mention both their hammers especially are crazy in their own right even without the affinity autism.
At MR4 Garangolm hammer is by far the best choice because of high raw and non-negative affinity.
Golm weapons have 0 affinity, moron
>Me: Barioth X with 100%+ affinity skills
>tigrex weapons with negative affinity in GU
>best weapon or atleast top 3
is this your first monhun?
>he needs affinity to hunt
lyl
>Garangolm weapons
>Negative 20 crit
wrong monster
TSUKUCCHAU?
KITAECHAU?
i'm about to fight furious munkey ask me anything
what weapon did you use and have you carted to HR calm monke
I ask you to have fun with one of the best monsters in the game
just got done. hes a frickin hoot
picks up a huge semi trailer sized chunk of rock
that's the old 4U apex attack, it's amazing. I love that they kept it as a followup for his grab whiff.
>still can't filter Random to a certain range
You can upgrade chameleos weapons at mr50 right?
So what's all these side quests that say "upgrade unlocked" for weapon types? Do they let you upgrade rampage weapons further or something?
>MR6 quests still only take me 8min tops solo
did they casualize mh too much?

Maybe you just got good enough to not notice?

I feel you poorbro. Any day now.

homie its a frickton of work to get rid of denuvo, no one does that shit, world just got pirated after capcom removed that garbage. And it took almost 3 years for capcom to drop the drm.
Better buy it homie.
>Not just emulating the other version
>is better than most actual players
She shits out damage, why don't other npcs want to hunt with her? It's also neat the utsushi can use every weapon.
>Can't use Paz or edgelord
Lame
they really should add them, like seriously fricking voice dlc? get out of her capcom.
utsushi can use hunting horn?
>why don't other npcs want to hunt with her?
Because she goes down literally constantly against anything with decent attacks or even just wide attacks.
Because of her personality which is tied to her AI behavior, she constantly gets herself killed.
She's also the only npc to drop 2 mega bomb barrels when the monster sleeps.
He teaches you every weapon arte in the game. He chooses DB because he's a chuuni ninja.
Those two and the gunner girl that has a crush on utsushi in an update maybe.
>gunner girl that has a crush on utsushi
Who?
This chick who got injured so she picked up gun. While she was resting during her injury she was mirin on utsu.

Just fricking kill me
I thought he was about as easy as regular golm, he just hits harder. What weapon did you use?
is spamming burst fire a good way to play GL? it's fun just blasting all my shells at shitzones
Sure. Might not be optimal, but you will always win.
what's the optimal way to play? I don't play gunlance but it looks cool
you kind of just do whatever you want with gunlance
you can burst spam
you can poke shoot with wide
you can spam bullet barrage
you can do hail cutter wyvern fire spam
as long as you have the right type of gunlance for your playstyle youre good to go
>what's the optimal way to play?
Well for starters, optimal for full burst would be full bursting near a weakspot so your melee attacks that you need to transition into Full Burst consistently actually deal good damage and don't bounce on the off chance you're low in sharpness. Other than that you just grab a Normal GL, Equip Blast Dash+ Reverse Blast and fly around spamming it I guess.
Why is Fatalis recommended at MR level 24 when I still am not anywhere close to beating him at level 80?
to make him accessible to new players, please understand
So chads like me can beat him early
How? I just get one shot if hit by anything
You have a million carts if you if you eat for safeguard or insurance, and you can get fortify for a big defense and damage boost. If you use GS the velkhana set easily slots in divine blessing even though any fire will one shot you.

Cheech!
hey that's my render
I got Fio, Rondine and Minayle working btw
also Iori to make some /ss/ images I guess, I don't have many ideas
What were they thinking with Rondine's hairstyle? It's so unflattering.
Also I hope to see more cute and funny from you, anon.
Their interactions are cute, love these sisters.
Might I recommend facesitting
Giwtwm
This is a weird post to pick to discuss this, but what in the frick is causing those weird "shadow" in this game?
The stuff I'm talking about can be seen on her legs here, shit's fricking ugly
Switch game, please understand.
I figured a big part of the technical uglyness from the game was due that it had to run on switch but I dunno, feel like they could've gone the extra mile for those shit ass shadows that cover everythings
>capcom
>japs
>going the extra mile for PC
lol
hehh fair enough I guess
the new capcom engine has shit dithering, specially on the shadows. Its how it looks.
Dunno about other games, but yeah this shit had to run on the fricking shitch.
In fact we have terrible draw distance even on PC.
You can increase it by disabling dynamic shadows, but you can still see the limits of the drawbox thing on hills and walls in the distance. Fricking sucks.
>one of the secrets the cat tells you is that she used to have long hair but cut it when she became the quest giver
Why were none of the master rank weapons visually different? Why did some monsters not get unique master rank gear?
modeling hard, please understand, even though the P3rd beasts have gone 4 G games without G armor upgrades and there's no longer blademaster and gunner or even Alpha/Beta sets
small indie team
>Why were none of the master rank weapons visually different?
Rise's system is like Generation's, where every single form of a weapon is its own tree, and they have branches for what would normally be the upgraded form. Likewise, every single form of every weapon has a max upgrade, so there's lots of variety.
>Why did some monsters not get unique master rank gear?
This is just a really weird trend that I think a lot of 3rd gen and below monsters have, as well as (most) generic armors. They never had a G rank armor design, and were never, ever given one, for whatever reason.
MH team B, please understand. Wait for World 2, the next true MH game.
It was worse in World. This is a zoomer monster hunter problem. The series is dead.
what are the best skills while using GS strongarm stance?
does it need guard or guard up skills or not?
so is there a way to get out of these one shot grab attacks? i've only seen it once on hermitaur and once on rathalos so i don't really know the tell to just start running yet
So, Anomaly Quests.
What determines a Qurio Weakspot breaking? Amount of Damage or Number of Hits, because I can't tell if my Normal Full Bursts are actually breaking these damn things.
Newbie to Rise here. Do I NEED to use a different Cat and Dog as I progress? I love my buddies and it feels wrong to switch.
Hire one of each cat and like 15 dogs. And throw them in the training dojo. You need them for quests and in MR you'll get quests to customize them.
Alright. Thank you Anons!
Hire kots with different support skills than your own, you'll need'em later on for an MR request in Sol Shatter, in the meantime just use them as meowrcenaries to get free shit.
When hiring palicos, make sure they have status attack up and slugger king. Trust me.
Is elec or sleep better? or should I mixed?
If you have a good wake up attack like 1k dmg atleast then go sleep otherwise go paralyze
Are Mega barrel bombs good or not so good anymore?
They are okayish when you try to break a hard part since they do fixed damage but most often than not you will do a lot more damage during paralysis than 2 mega bombs + 400 dmg wake up hit
Alright, paralyze it is. Thank you anon.
also if your palico has the endemic life shooter skill . There is a high change it will shoot a sleep bomb and that is most often enough for 1 sleep during a hunt
>Full Malzeno armour is good enough that I don’t want to make a mixed set
Very cool, I’ll need to make one eventually though.
We better get the Hell Hunters as followers in a title update.
>he thinks he's worthy of seeing THE Hell Hunters follow him on baby quests
>sunbreak is peak MH combat
>MH6 will most likely cut back on it for something a lot more grounded
If they remove the new switch skills I'm gonna fricking riot
I NEED shield tackle
I will be incredibly upset if Kinsect Slash is removed. Honestly switch skills should just become a mainstay feature from now on.
what is the purpose of dung bombs anymore?
customizable moveset is rad as frick, just tone it down with the super anime attacks on cooldown shit.
>what is the purpose of dung bombs anymore?
To get monsters to leave shitty shoe box areas and hope they go to better areas that are rounder.
We will never get combat like this again. Also, Gankers file size is so small.
>posts gif
>complains about filesize
get yourself a webm
>we wont get rampages and monsters flying 30 feet above the hunter ever again
GOOD
What do I do when I've done a full burst and need to dodge asap? Eruption cannon is pretty quick and certainly faster than swinging but I feel like I still eat quite a few hits because of it.
Why can't you just dodge?
I think switch skill evade can cancel out a fair bit of recovery, but otherwise you just have to learn when you can and can't fullburst
It's just the repeatable version of the quest so you can grind his equipment.
I can post either one, though.
I think this is right.
MH6 should be open world, with a focus on bringing back many of the larger monsters like Akantor, Ukanlos, Gammoth, Lao Shan Lung. Swimming returns with an overhauled combat system that doesn't suck.
why does fiorayne look like she belongs in dragons dogma 2
Where do you think the good AI came from? While they were making DD2!
Because she's a generic knight design.
because her sister is a she-goat
Because she was hinting at DD2 getting announced. She is she-goat from DD1 that got isekai'd into the MH universe.
I think I've carted more times in my 50 hours of Sunbreak than I had in my 1k hours of World/Iceborne
>Minoto uses stinkminks to keep the monster's attention on her

You never had an older sis bullying you? Like literally beating your ass or sitting on your face?
No... she's the nicest person
Any GL veterans willing to share some tips? How do you deal the abysmal recovery time on moves like Overhead Smash and Wide Sweep? I'm always afraid to use them because I usually just end up trading blows with the monster whenever I use them
>GL
just spam that bullet like there is no tomorrow
>Overhead Smash
Wide Sweep
>Wide Sweep
Reload
poke until you have an opening then overhead smash into fullburst or rocket blast into them and fullburst
>Hail Cutter to cut 50% off it's cooldown
I didn't know that was a thing
The only way I could optimise further is if said talisman ditched the one unnecessary point of Flinch Free and gave me my third Speed Sharpening point.
do dps meters work on followers dps to see who is best
The one I'm using seems to track it. If it's accurate though they never really do much damage (5 percent of the total) unless they ride something.
Luchika with LBG and Hinoa with LBG. Fugen and Utsushi are pretty aggressive. I'll try Fugen with DB and see how he does.
Fugen is alright but Utsushi is better than hinoa.
>tfw GS
oops forgot to hit save
>only new monsters I've fought are orange bish, monke and ice somna
when the frick do I get to gore
Not for a while if you take your time going through MR. I just reached 4 and there's no sign of batman wyvern.
MR doesn't build in the background so taking your time is pointless
how does the final boss armor skill healing work exactly, sometimes it doesn't go off for me
You can have max 3 qurios around you. I believe for healing to work you need minimum 2. Meanwhile you will always have atleat 1 around
you need to wait for the bugs to accumulate every min
>required material types gathered
why the frick did they choose to keep this message misleading as frick
>neither Rise blacksmith has animations of the gear being made
Shame. They were pretty likable.
i wish lanc ehave a good finisher like other weapon
>do Afflicted Izuchi online
>he's a punching bag who's on the ground basically the entire fight
>still takes almost 9 minutes to kill him
HP bloat getting bad I see
I tried SA but I drop it because it was too complicated with the sword and axe managment
What weapon should I try if I'm a brainlet?
Dual blades? You just keep dashing around punching. I still can't figure out if spiral slash is a dps loss though.
>managment
homie hitting rt for free damage isnt management
>MR Tigrex
>15, almost 16 minutes
>Double MR Tigrex
>14 minutes
Is it because they have reduced health or did I just play better?
I'm pretty sure every multi monster hunt has them with reduced HP yes
So the single target quests are all essentially useless?
If you're farming a monster, the double ones are always more desirable. Otherwise doing quests with different monsters tends to be less productive since your rewards screen will be a random assortment of any of them.
for farming one specific monster yes
>ywn be able to let her ride you while laying on her anvil
you could already use switch skills out of the wyvern fire recovery on GL but did you know that you could also use the skill swap to cancel it? thought that was interesting
feels like bullet barrage is starting to drop off in effectiveness later on as slam > sweep becomes the big damage sequence and it's getting better to wait for wyvern fire to recharge before using bullet barrage
It's still a pretty good move, but it's definitely not the end all move that people act like it is.
I doubt it'll ever be bad,
if the rest of the anomaly monsters are like that azuros, yall can keep that shit
Skill issue
I joined random anomaly hunts because I needed melding extracts and watched people get one shot by that bear. I hate all the small monster anomalies though, just giant hitboxes that you have to fight like Khezu except they also move around a lot.
I see now, to get a knight gf, all I have to do is kill Satan
she's tsun :3
Just like in real life buddy
I feel insane that I find Garangolm significantly more difficult than Lunagaron. Garan legit feels completely unapproachable most of the time so I just trade hits with him until it dies. His attacks cover too much range at mid range and his rock attacks are huge. Lunagaron feels like a fricking cake walk by comparison.
Really? I found gorilla golem to be one of the easiest and fairest monsters in sunbreak.
Fiorayne is the perfect woman
>tfw wage cage keeps me from playing

Heh, easy... Was just about to finally upgrade my armor to MR too
Is it ever explained how exactly Malzeno stole the Qurios?
malzeno body was compatible with qurio juice like satan. thats pretty much it
giasmarogorgus left his qurios in the citadel and malzeno stole them
they developed a symbiosis with each other, they succ him, he succs them
they happens to enjoy 69
The SUCC.
i skipped all the dialogue and stories lmao
what happens here?
The Qurio (the red butterflies that are actually just Giggi's with wings for some reason) have a symbiotic relationship with creatures, they find a host who can defend them and give most of the Dragon Energy they somehow syphon out of other living things to this host powering them up greatly. The host, either Malzeno or Gaismagorm in this case, help the Qurio by hunting other creatures that threaten the swarm and sharing their meals.
Basically, the Qurio syphon Dragon Energy from Monsters and gives it to these two guys so they can go Super Saiyan/Final Form Dracula.
And no, it is not explained why everything just has Dragon Energy now.
they probably succ nutrients and convert it
Probably, but it's not covered. It isn't important though, I guess.
>Is it ever specified that it's Dragon Energy?
Not in words but,
>Dragon Energy is red
>Qurio glow red
>Malzeno and Gaismagorm both glow red when using the Qurio Powerade
>Malzeno and Gaismagorm are both monsters who use the Dragon element
It's possible the Qurio don't originally glow and just take blood back to the host, where that blood is then converted to dragon energy inside the host and the syphoned out again by the Qurio.
Like, the hosts could be the equivalent of a water filter.
Is it ever specified that it's Dragon Energy? Or is it just magic (ie bioenergy)?
Turf War, Satan sent them as a parting shot and by a freak accident it was compatible rather than getting eaten alive
How did Satan end up in the butthole of the planet to begins with?
he lives there
He was just a really good host for them.
I'm not clear on how malzeno or gainsgolem actually have a symbiotic relationship with the qurios, especially the latter since it also crystalizes them
mh6 better bring back clutch claw and hot drinks. If they bring back switch skills and spirit birds im not buying it.
why wouldn't you want switch skills?
i just want a functional moveset rather than these stupid moveset changes.
Switch skills are not wirebug skills you dumbfrick
wire bug skills are all switch skills you dumbfrick
Do you have brain damage
A square is a rectangle
Not every rectangle is a square
you are doing the equivalent of saying that absolute evasion isnt a hunting art. you cant have silkbind attacks without switch skills.
Switch skills are fantastic for allowing a single weapon to have multiple playstyles, with more flexibility and customization than hunting styles.
are you moronic? you get iframes and counters from normal moveset moves without silkbinds.
I agree with getting rid of all the wirefall type moves but all the moveset changes like giving surge slash combo to GS should stay
I understand not wanting wirebug moves to come back but why wouldn't you want switch skills to return? It's just more customizability for your weapon and playstyle
Wow, it sucks that some people actually want this shit. That's all the exact opposite of what I want.
they will add magic and magic weapon, you can paly as wyverian because they have bigger magic stat than human
Oh no, I can see it now.
>We discovered a new monster that has a strange effect on the landscape. It gives things living here new abilities, including hunters!
>All monsters and weapons get new magical attacks
>this is the gimmick for MH6
finally someone understand my magic on MH6 idea
will shelling heal from bloodrite or does it have to be pokes
Why didn't the Qurios attack the people? They were obviously easier prey
They did, that’s what caused the plague that wiped out the original area of the citadel.
Humans don't have the brand of red cordial in them that Gautismagorm likes.
why are small jagras in this game?
will great come back as an MR monster and actually he fun?
every mh needs jobber dinos
but most other small monsters have their big version, weird choice to take jagras

I remember being so hyped when the Doll in Bloodborne would bow back and shit.
just fought malzeno for the first time with GS, i cant remember the last time i had such an unfun time playing monster hunter. probably the triple apex arena quest in 4u.
Are you using the surge slash combo or tradition GS? Because I picked up GS for the first time and I'm all in on the surge slash combo. Am I in for a bad time?

All Royal Order weapons are unlocked via follower quests.
I was thinking of the last rarity one, like sns needs fangs and shells

Lance or Gunlance, which do you find more enjoyable?
