Yeah I'm mad that GU didn't get ported to PC and console. I bought Rise and Switch and double dipped the second it was on PC cause frick is playing on Switch a miserable experience. I don't mind the Switch but it's absolutely not the place for a game like Monster Hunter. MH as a portable series is a meme that needs to fricking die. MH feels awful to play portably.
MH feels fine on portable consoles like PSP, it's just the Switch that's awful to play on, thankfully it's also easily emulated

Could have been the best in the series, the potential was definitely there. The weapon sytles aren't a very big demerit, but the Hunter Arts definitely are. There's far too many repetitive missions but that's such a small issue when contrasted to hyper monsters, which are such a shit inclusion, serving only to needlessly bloat an already bloated game. The biggest problem with GU is the absolutely stupid implementation of Deviant monster quests. Who the frick wants to fight the same monster 10+ times, tripling that if you want the armour set and a weapon? It's fricking insane, making the end-game a complete turn-off. They weren't even trying to hide the end-game grind.

yes but that has nothing to do with the things you listed but rather with world and rise being bottom of the barrel gameplay wise

hypothetically if capcom pushed genshit instead of world most people trying it out would have quit within 2 hours. its got the worst start in MH history. fetch quest slog. overly bloated game. more content doesn't equal better.
and i'd love to see streamers complain about the flex and not healing while moving, etc. face it, older monster hunter is not appealing to the masses, and capcom care about money more than they do your shitty nostalgia (hence us getting wilds instead of Rise 2 LOL).
