yes the NPC follower that's going to attack every once in a while is going to be able to complete that big bad Grat Izuchi quest for you since you can't wipe yourself
Probably not until late 2023 or early 2024
If Sunbreak gets Title Updates into 2023 then I don't see the next new MH releasing until at least 6 months after the last Sunbreak TU
Capcom reiterated back when Iceborne came out that MH is still a yearly series, so yeah. The massive Capcom ransomware leak from back in 2019 revealed that MH6 (title not final) was planned for 2023, but given Covid shenanigans it might be early 2024 now, as Rise was initially planned for 2020 according to that leak but was pushed back 6-9 months into 2021, and Sunbreak which was planned for 2021 got pushed back 6-9 months into 2022. Monster Hunter always has multiple games/expansions in development at any given time, the team that did base World haven’t released anything since World so MH6 is probably their project and has been in the works since 2018.
there's not any specific "teams" for mh really, it just seems to be a large team working on multiple projects at once under different directors
mh6 is likely an RE engine game releasing in early 2024, but i don't think it'll come to the switch. PS5 and pc, maybe xbox and switch 2 (if switch 2 is out by that point) if sony doesn't moneyhat console exclusivity again
>there's not any specific "teams" for mh really
There's the Main Team, responsible for the "core" games, like 4, 4U, and World, and then there's the B-Team that handles the off-games like X, XX, and Rise.
They aren’t distinct teams as such, rather 90% of the studio works on whatever is current while there’s a small group of dedicated staff for main games, expansions, and other games who only work on those.
Yes, same Capcom document leak that confirmed DD2 and RE4VR at the end of 2020 also confirmed MH6, but everything was pushed back a year due to covid. So 2024 is most likely when it will release.
>, i wonder what the shitpost look like >I like game but I don't like x >YOU DON'T LIKE X LMAO LOL FRICK OFF CONSOLE WARRIOR YOU'RE JUST JEALOUS

Look up Tidus69 on yt, he has a vid on damage rotations and combos for Rise. It's not hard at all it's just that dodgebolt complicates things a bit, you just need someone to explain it you.
Seeing as how they’re going to be replaced with more traditional prose in Sunbreak, what was your favorite Monster Poem Intro from Rise (if any) and why?
Tobi-Kadachi isn’t one of my favorite monsters, but the part with him slinking up into the tree and peering at (You) from it was well done and complimented the narration very well.
I play in MH language and turn player shoutouts off

Frick me I wish I could just sleep for 48 hours
I decided to start with Bow, a weapon that I have never played on Rise, so I logged on the game to do arenas for the Bow plus helmet and every elemental weapon with Rapid 4 or 5.
If you hate Chichae and cute/funny you are a low skilled shitter that can't solo Fatalis without modding it to do less damage.
Confirmed. Only shitters hate cute and funny.
so what is your personal verdict on skill swap?
will you use it or not?
I find it kinda useful in some of my weapons mainly Swaxe, GL and IG just for the fact I can use more moves rather than the silkbind skills
I'll probably only use it for the dodge i-frames and to activate armour skills that rely on swapping
Otherwise, I think I'll stick the same switch skills on both scrolls for 2 of the 3 weapons I main (Bow & SnS)
not having to choose between CPP and axe hop is pretty big by itself, it lets you play saed and pizza like it used to, and now both styles are getting skills not in the demo that pushes them further
honestly I feel like swagaxe only really benefits from being able to switch to the counter once for fast amp, it doesn't feel very good compared to invincible gambit
I main CB and GS.
I initially expected it to not be "that" great for CB (guess I didn't think about how useful always being able to use CPP would be), and thought GS would love it, but it's turned out to be the opposite.
I see no good reason to bother with rage slash when Hysteria into True Charge is so stupidly good? Even aiming it isn't an issue cause you can turn in whatever direction you like when countering.
With Chargeblade, I've come to realize that both phial and pizzacutter styles have good uses for skill swapping. CPP-Axe Hopper for phials and Morphing Advace-new aerial silkbind/CPP-Ready Stance for pizzacutter are simple examples.
Likely won't be meta at all, but a build that strengthens both playstyles and has it's swap scrolls set up for both charged sword and charged axe like the demo has could be fun to work with.
Between 3 and 4 million I’m guessing. Rise is close to 8 million last time I checked, and if World and Iceborne sales are anything to go on then selling a little bit under 50% of the total base game sales is realistic. You’ve also got to keep in mind that, now you can get the new content as DLC rather than having to buy a new game, a sale of the base game is required for a sale of the expansion too. In the past when they just released expansion content in new editions of the game, those editions were treated as separate products, so it was possible and often happened that the G/Ultimate version sold more than the base version. In World and Rise’s case, even if you buy the edition of the game that includes the expansion content, it counts as a sale for both the base game and the expansion, meaning it’s not possible for the expansion to outsell the base game like it was prior to World.
>Base World sold almost double the 2nd game >Iceborne sold more than the entirety of Rise >Rise is still 5th despite all of this
Actually insane
Of all the dying franchises I like MH has to be the most successful ones
MH is the farthest thing possible from a dying franchise
Even before world it was literally the CoD of japan. The nips fricking love MH, it's not changing anytime soon
I dunno if they'll ever get World numbers again since a lot of people who tried it genuinely did bounce off of it
Maybe if the release is simultaneous and all the versions of it run well
It could well be second or third best selling with RE7 at 10.8M and RE2make at 9.6M
I think Rise will likely end up being (already is?) the best selling title on a single platform (Switch)
Nothing will ever reach World's numbers again. Big graphical jump, first mainline on PC, Game Pass numbers (1 game pass download = 1 sale?)
>Nothing will ever reach World's numbers again.

I don’t see 150+ at launch being a thing without some ridiculous subspecies padding, but honestly there’s no reason for them to not have 60 or 70 at launch before updates and expansions at this point. They have every skeleton that isn’t used by only a single monster implemented as of Sunbreak, World was the company’s bestselling game EVER, and the team working on MH6 will have had 5 or possibly 6 years to work on the game after World released in January 2018 with no timesinks like Zorah Magdaros ruining development. If MH6 isn’t second only to Generations in terms of launch content (or possibly exceeding it) then I have no fricking clue what Capcom are doing.

Bet that’s what they do.

They already said back in 2019 during Iceborne press that Zorah was a mistake and that they don’t plan on trying something like that again any time soon, so I highly doubt they’ll go back on their word so soon and try to make another set piece fight that no one enjoyed playing and no one enjoyed actually working on (that also took up an entire year of the 3.5 year development schedule). Pretty sure they actually outright said that Zorah Magdaros was a mistake.
Anonymous
Nah the devs themselves admitted that Zorah was ass and that they were t going to try something like that again. So no new colossal monsters ever again unless they’re straightforward fights and not environment/tech demo hybrids like Zorah was. So Dalamadur and the Mohrans should hopefully be safe to return in some far off future game at least, only Zorah will be forgotten to time and never brought back.

Without insider info it's kind of hard to be able to predict what would be able to be ported over from World + Rise into MH6. We know 6 is likely to be an RE Engine game (like Rise) but we don't know how well the World versions of each monster could be ported over to their newest setup, and we don't know if the wild and crazy shit in Rise would be appropriate to copy and paste into 6 because they might be going for a different tone compared to lol wacky anime wirebug moves

From what I’ve read, apparently Rise development was a technical nightmare since RE Engine wasn’t designed with Switch in mind (hence why RE7 could only be played on Switch via streaming) and in addition to working on the game they were trying to port the engine itself onto a piece of hardware without the specs to run it properly. They did manage in the end so it should prove useful in future Capcom port projects, but it requires a great deal of downgrading to work so I don’t see the console MH developers who were finally freed from handheld hardware after two generations to go back to it after only one game on modern hardware.

False, the switch was designed specifically so capcom could use The RE engine on it. We've known this for years.

I’m assuming porting stuff from MT Frameworks to RE Engine is fairly easy since a lot of the stuff in Rise was ported from World already, just with scaled down textures and effects. Plus they developed World planning on reusing its assets for the next decade or so, so they would have had RE Engine compatibility in mind from the beginning even though they decided to use the tried and true MT Franeworks for World over RE Engine.

Anonymous
>we know it's likely to be an RE engine game
PLEASE.
World's engine is such a piece of shit, even if I'm not a consolegay and it doesn't matter to me there would only be benefits from using the RE engine over world's.
Anonymous
The only reason World wasn't on RE Engine was because all of Capcom's engine devs were busy helping the other teams figure out the new shit and the MH guys didn't want to wait like 2 years to start on World
2 years ago
Anonymous
World used MT Frameworks which was Capcom’s engine used for every game from the beginning of the PS3/360 generation until RE Engine. It’s an insanely good engine, the issue is that Capcom still only did games set in very small environments at the time so when trying to render larger areas with lots of stuff going on at any given time it shit itself, which is why Dragon’s Dogma and MHW ran like shit when 99% of other games using the engine ran like a dream. RE Engine appears to have been designed with larger environments in mind though, which is a good sign. Besides Dragon’s Dogma, none of their IPs have fallen for the open world meme yet (and in DD’s case it was conceptualised as open world from the start so it hardly counts), but they are shifting towards bigger and more open environments in a number of their series even if it’s not actual open world, so RE Engine being better equipped to handle that is promising for the future of MH.
Anonymous
>RE Engine appears to have been designed with larger environments in mind though
it wasn't, the main challenge with re engine always was big open spaces and capcom modified shit out of it for rise, but sonyfgas somehow turned it into

Is this event quest valstrax in the arena a crown guaranteed?
I was going to grind him out with trash gear because I don’t mind low personal damage while getting one shotted but I’m two tries in and this feels “wrong” compared to what I remember of valstrax on switch and in GU
Man frick capcom, I had a feeling something was scuffed when I’m getting clipped at full sprint running perpendicular to shit like the wing thrust which I’ve done hundreds of times
I don't mean the hunt, I mean the actual monster. Like, it's relatively big, but they could do a expectation subversion; like how they showed that Gog could fly.
Other than playing ranged, how the frick am I supposed to break Magnamalo's back?
Even when you topple it, it doesn't stay down long enough for you to attack it's back.
Equip partbreaker
Pitfall traps when he turns on the pink fire
Get the special knockdown from putting out his swamp ass
Use Dual Blades w/ Demon Flight or Insect Glaive
You've got lots of options
>Condom
I'm not mad that condoms exists in MH, I'm mad that this is clearly a mass produced plastic wrapped vacuum sealed product, probably backed up by another heavily developed marketing industry.
MH relies heavily on artisan work, but this simple plastic protection could imply that the guild actually relies in heavy industry, which could explain why all armors from guild sanctioned monsters are suspiciously the same, proving that village artisans are merely a marketing ploy since all gear are mass produced.
Did they datamine stronger decos/easier to get decos or something like that (like IB introducing double decos)? Stronger amulets?
I might start farming a full set of every deco just to pass time but I feel like it will be a waste of time and Sunbreak will completely invalidate my farm
>magic
Hunters run on tokusatsu logic, magic is weaker. Besides World already had crossover asshomosexuals with magic and a dragon that literally drains energy from the land.
It’s part of the Xeno lore/ecology. It started out as a random organism that absorbs energy from the land around it, and it happened to be in a place where elder dragons went constantly, so most of the energy it absorbed was dragon energy. This caused it to take on the form of a dragon as it grew in its cocoon, then after hatching it continues to absorb dragon energy and shed its skin, each time becoming more and more dragon like as it absorbs more dragon energy, until eventually at full maturity it has successfully attained the form of the life forms it has been parasitising since birth. It’s pretty cool on paper but it does make for a kind of bland design. At least there are still hints to Safi’s alien nature in the design, like his constellation wings and how if you break his head you can see the remnants of his extra eyeballs from when he was a Xeno are still there.
Being a literal red dragon with magic powers in Wyvern Australia. And he only looks like a generic red dragon, motherfricker is a flying plasma siege tank.
There is no justification needed outside how fricking cool Xeno is compared to Safi. It's not my fault if you have garbage taste and love Donkey's wife.
>Switch Axe's counter >the 90° degrees dash full of iframes >the jump + delayed explosion >the new morph while swinging the Axe >the lunging attack >the dash that charges the gauge
Damn SA only has good skills
Including Iceborne’s updates is pretty disingenuous, especially when Iceborne before updates already has 10 more monsters than Sunbreak before updates. But this image was obviously constructed to try and start shit rather than be a proper comparison.
Here’s an actual fair comparison for you. Never try to start console war bullshit in my threads ever again. >Iceborne at launch = 27 monsters >Iceborne after updates = 35 monsters >Sunbreak at launch = 17 monsters >Sunbreak after updates = 27 monsters minimum based on what can be gleaned from the roadmap
Wasn't it already "datamined" that title update 1 already comes with about 6 monsters, which essentially destroys the "argument" that 6 monsters was the entirety of the title update roadmap?
Some of those monsters were subspecies which aren’t coming until update 2, so it’s assumed that those 6 are for both updates 1 and 2 but the list is incomplete since they used plurals in the roadmap which implies both of those updates will have 4 monsters minimum. So yeah it’s definitely not the full roadmap monster list (which we knew anyway since the roadmap implies at least 10 monsters total) but I doubt it’s just the lineup for update 1 either.
>that one picture I always see in my room that I took with me and my friends all posing in front of yomogi >none of them play anymore
The game feels empty now with nothing to do, I just want sunbreak to come out to fill that hole and maybe lure some of them back.
https://twitter.com/RochesteDorm/status/1541253756678877184
I wish we could get Yomogi with medium sized dangos. But that ass is way better than the HPN ass.
>rampage slot 3 lets you put daora soul for easy +25% affinity during combos >rampage slot 2 lets you put wyvern/aquatic/fanged/aerial exploit for free 5% damage on every non-elder >rampage slot 1 is just buddy rally and some other dogshit
how many weapons are going to be shit just because they miss out on 5% free damage? That's close to the difference between white and purple sharpness
I hate how they took out exchanging tickets for rare monster materials like in World.
I've been farming 10+ Anjanaths now and didn't get a single gem drop that I need. I really hope they bring it back in Sunbreak.
I genuinely want drop rates to be lower. They don't need to be FU low, but World had a good balance. In Rise everything drops instantly, and I don't like that.
Rates themselves are fine imo but I think we should get 2 fewer target rewards
Pilfer cats don't help with scarcity either but I love my pilfer cat so I don't want to see much changes. Maybe make it pilfer 1 less monster item
>It's not bad you're bad and all the speedrunners who autistically reset for the best runs possible are also bad it's actually a good weapon
Unreal cope.
Tucking the monster icons under the map like in World, and placing the switch skill stuff on the top right as a list like the controls in World would help the UI feel like it's taking up less of the screen
The targetting arrow is present in the full game as a toggable option and the Rise demo never had on-screen combos in the first place, they're only present in the full game in the training room.
It's a schizo moron lying for no reason.
Went and replayed rise uncapped since I double dipped to have sunbreak on PC, and specifically paid attention to attacks like the magna tail thrust and the rajang beam and I noticed no difference with switch rise.
I just watched the start where he dodges the tail stab, uncaps fps then gets hit by the stab again. Its obviously manufactured because he's not even at the same distance from Magnamalo for the second hit. It doesn't prove shit.
This. G-rank Valstrax is probably gonna give you the same shit it's giving us now, so we're guaranteed to have a set with WE, Attack 7, etc. who cares about slots.
Some of our weapons actually need skills to not feel like shit
The deco level distribution is dogshit anyways there's no way in hell Weakness Exploit in its current state and like 80% of the other skills should be in the same tier
Bloodlust 2, Coalescence 2, Resuscitate 3, Attack 7, Crit Boost 3, Resentment 2, Chain Crit 1, Protective Polish 3, Element Up 4, Crit Ele 1 should be possible with a half decent charm. Can also sub out some points to get handicraft if needed. Level 2 and 3 of chain crit aren't nearly as impactful as the first point so only having 1 doesn't feel too bad. Same with bloodlust especially since the secondary affinity part doesn't really matter with Hellion Mode.
Im getting my mh reflexes back playing sns and saw a random post about the spinning reaper ender to perfect rush being bad. Anyone know what thats about?
Does the Sunbreak HBG rapid fire only work with certain ammo for each gun or did they just say frick it since it's a switch skill and let it work on everything?
But that does answer the question. It works on every ammo type but the effectiveness varies wildly. You're only really going to be mileage out of it on standard physical and elemental ammo.
I’m playing the shut out of Iceborne before I finally give it a rest after tomorrow. Did all I needed to in base Rise so I’m enjoying Seliana for a bit.
Imagine >S&S >Shield and Shield >More KOs than hammers, HHs, impact CBs combined >Enough deeps to make TArannies drool >Lance-tier blocks >Can consume 2 items at once with weapon drawn >Fast with weapon drawn >Women want him, monsters fear him
>Mid-air combo without falling down >Dash out, in and on the side with i-frames out of the ass >Able to run while unsheathe >Able to stun and cut tails
Frick tonfas.

Magnet Spike having an attack with over 500MV is still wild to me, like holy shit they really wanted to obsolete as many other weapon types as they could with that fricking thing.
In Freedom 1 SnS had it super sharpness with a 1.5x multiplier, basically built-in purple sharpness on top of its regular sharpness multiplier. The sword attacks weren't any weaker either
If you don't mind a question, how the GS new skill feel?
As a old gen GS user I never really liked TCS, tho the new combo attack I saw in the GS trailer that seems to replace the normal charge seems fun to use even if it kill even more the old "slow but precise strong attack" and hit and run style of the old GS.
I only bothered fighting Malzeno once but even that was enough to get his theme stuck in my head. New Jungle BGM is fantastic too.
I'm really looking forward to the new jungle, it was always a memorable area for me in FU.
You in luck because I also happen to be a GS main.
I was pretty averse to the new GS counter when I first saw it, but after playing around with it in the demo, it honestly feels like the closest you can get to old GS in Rise with its importance on recognizing monster patterns. Since you only get a max charge TCS by activating the counter when you're already charging, you can't really do it on pure reaction and have to kind of guess what the monster will do ahead of time.
Admittedly, Malzeno's attacks having openings that are perfectly long enough to squeeze in a TCS might have played a part in my enjoyment of the new counter. But even so, I've never paid so much attention to a monster's patterns and how to exploit them in Rise as I did for demo Mal and it feels great.
>tho the new combo attack I saw in the GS trailer that seems to replace the normal charge seems fun to use even if it kill even more the old "slow but precise strong attack" and hit and run style of the old GS.
Not in the demo unfortunately so I can't say. But it seems to only replace the draw charge while the strong charge + TCS/Rage Slash are the same
You reminded me of something else worth mentioning.
I won't say it's as good as older games, but the *tink* you get from countering an attack along with the tiny glint is pretty satisfying in its own way. You can kind of picture in your mind Malzeno's wing talon scraping against the broad metal side of a greatsword and what that would sound like. Or at least that's how I now associate it.
And of course the TCS that comes right afterwards feels great to land consistently instead of constantly whiffing.
>played sunbreak demo because I don't care about spoiler >got shit kicked in by Malzeno >finally beat it after hundreds tries >back playing rise >got new fastest time record because now I play more carefully
Thanks Malzeno
It's funny because Dos was reviled for being a incredibly poorly balanced to the point where "tnksn" (Tanaka shine", lit. Tanaka, Die") in response to the director was a bit of a meme.
Maybe reviled wasn't the correct word here, but it was criticized a fair deal. It's worth noting Tanaka also directed DMC2 and subsequently left Capcom entirely.
>It sold way more than the original
Because player have high expectations for Dos after the popularity of MH freedom (not freedom united).
For comparations: >MHF (release date 2005) 1,3 millions copies >Dos (release date 2006) just 500K copies
MH never performed great in consoles until World, even P3rd's ps3 port sold like 300k, it had to do with Japan's preference for portable gaming, still Dos servers were still alive by the time Tri came out so it hardly could be reviled, what was even reviled? I thought it was fantastic after coming from the first game
Honestly dos really has some interesting concepts, and I wish seasonal variants could come back in some way, but anyone who watched the eceleb video and went to play it and convinced themselves that it's the greatest game in the series or something because you're poor for most of the game is a fundamentally broken husk of an anon who can literally only enjoy shit when eceleb tells them to.
If he didn't mention he had autism in another video his Dos retrospective would have been proof enough. But it was an entertaining video, I genuinely wish there were more 1+ video essays by autists.
Sometimes they can be really fricking cringe and just surface level “Wah I don’t like new thing, old thing better” but when you get an autist who really dives deep into stuff it can be really interesting.
Did you play World? World was full of comedy it just looks more realistic. Monster Hunter on the whole has always been full of silly shit right from the beginning and never relented, even in World. So this Youtuber is just being a homosexual basically.
Tbf one of the complaints from the first two gens is that they were too dry, it wasn't until Tri that they put comic relief like Captain Argosy and Neko(means cat)
Interesting how this guy's thing is to say "Renee monster hunter didn't use to be like this" but the way that MH supposedly used to be like only exists in his head.
The only one we've seen old concept art for that hasn't partially been done in the last few weapons added is the Giant Boomerang
Although at this point I think we'd get one of the weapons from Frontier or the mobile games first since they already have movesets to work with
IIRC the Clutch Claw in Iceborne was initially intended to be a new weapon type but they decided very early in the planning stage to make it a tool available to all weapon types instead, and the dogs in Rise spawned from the hunting hound weapon concept that went unused in Generations, so they’ve still been experimenting with new weapon types even if they don’t end up being implemented as weapons. They could easily rework Tonfa and Magnet Spike from Frontier if they were desperate, conceptually both fill niches the other weapons don’t.
There was one MH phone game that had some concept art for a jet powered hammer that looked really fun, it would use a shelling system to boost its attacks.
Kinda like Beta Dauntless hammer, which was also very fricking fun to use beside the game being a piece of shit.
I’d like punching weapons or a spear/halberd. I’d also like for gunlance to get access to the different ammos. I was very surprised they didn’t add a kusarigama in Rise.
MH has been running well enough on portable for more than a decade
500 hours in world and 130 in rise, found a single "cheater" and couple of dps spamming gays
I'm playing Iceborne atm and there are tons of cheaters it's actually mind boggling. Did like four hunts yesterday and two of them had a guy with full fatalis gear despite being around MR 20
I've only got three weapons that I've neglected in Monster Hunter Rise - Great Sword, Lance and Charge Blade.
Thinking of maining Lance through the Sunbreak story, could anyone give me some tips of general playstyle/what to practice in the demo to get good with it?
>The Frontier footage thief SuperRAD
As if I couldn't loathe him even more
God I hate monhun e-celeb community as a whole, they are so insufferable it's insane
Friendly reminder that Frontier’s most based boy, Baruragaru, now has an official English name since he appeared in TEPPEN recently. Allow me to introduce you to Barlagual! Will he be appearing in a future game since he’s been localised now? What do you buttholes think?
long empty corridors bros... remember how we loved those in world and hoped for their to return and be better in sunbreak? well they did!!! we just can't stop winning!!!
Itchy Nose is tired of working on Monster Hunter and hates the people who plays his games, so he included the lesser/baby forms of tons of monsters without the greater/adult forms purely out of spite. The cherry on top was giving an NPC a baby Tetsucabra but not including Tetsucabra as a huntable monster at all.
phial hitboxes seem better based on personal experience and the testimonies of others but we might all just be gaslighting each other. I don't like spinning slash so it's nice
No handler going with you sucked, also game felt to arcade compared to immersive World experience. And to be honest blood felt like totally pointless effect
I think it sucks as well. some anon said that the birds were meant to be optional that you don't really need but then again we should not have the rainbow bird at all if that the case.
Whats with this autistic obsession with maxing out the birds
You guys know its shit you're suppose to get passively by getting to and chasing the monster right?
It's a small powerup over the duration of the hunt and not something you need immediately?
>>You guys know its shit you're suppose to get passively by getting to and chasing the monster right? >not killing it without a chase >>It's a small powerup over the duration of the hunt and not something you need immediately? >not doing event quests

I bet you said the same thing about Mercedes. When nips put out a short hair knight girl in armor it's always a Casca clone.
Your fandom should've died with your hack writer
And your braindead self should have died in the womb.
Yet, ironically, Casca is an admitted clone of Xena, only made browner to be more "exotic" and weebs wont bat a single eyelid.

Berserk invented dark-skinned tomboyish short haired female knights with a chip on their shoulder, yes.

fricking love Krekkov's art (especially the hyper-detailed monsters he draws)
Not into his guro but other than that he does some good shit.
I like his collabs with eigaka
I designed her. I'm ok with nude mods 🙂
Peeminist behavior
She is best girl and I'm sick of pretending shes not
I agree.
I wonder if she knows any other Weapons besides Sword & Shield and Charge Blade?
She is she-goat for the Monster Hunter community, she deserves all love.
She’s actually skilled, unlike Mercedes.

he's lying. npcs don't count to your cart, this has already been confirmed by Ryozo himself.
No, they already said your Follower going down doesn't count as a cart.
they don't die dumbass
They already confirmed that followers fainting doesn't count against you
So they're invulnerable? You can let NPCs do hunts for you then.
yes the NPC follower that's going to attack every once in a while is going to be able to complete that big bad Grat Izuchi quest for you since you can't wipe yourself
It's gonna be like the dog's AI, he only attacks if you do

We are going full God Eater in the next MH.
Let's hope for some equivalent of Alisa and Kanon.
DON'T RUN AWAY FROM LIVING, THAT'S AN ORDER
if the next MH come to every console, i wonder what the shitpost look like
Is there actually a new one in the works or are you guys just dreaming? By new I don't mean remakes.
mh6 next year, with magic
Probably not until late 2023 or early 2024
If Sunbreak gets Title Updates into 2023 then I don't see the next new MH releasing until at least 6 months after the last Sunbreak TU
Of course there's a new one it's been a yearly series for ages, even if some years it's just some filler Japan-only gachashit
You should read the illustrations books, they give glimpses of how they make the games
Yes, same Capcom document leak that confirmed DD2 and RE4VR at the end of 2020 also confirmed MH6, but everything was pushed back a year due to covid. So 2024 is most likely when it will release.
>, i wonder what the shitpost look like

Took me a minute but it's ridiculously easy.
Shoot x3, powershot, dodge shoot powershot, dodge shoot powershot...
Rapid is the easiest but the Chameleos Bow is both really sexy looking, Spread is super fun, and works on everything.
do i need to charge it or not?
You can but firing consecutively or spamming powershots raises your shot level each time anyways
huh i thought you need to charge it first...
No each shot levels up your charge level
Input window is a bit weird but you can see your bow-pulling animation change with each step
If you use the Charging Side Step switch skill, your charge level goes up with each dodge while you aim (holding ZL/LT)

If you hate Chichae and cute/funny you are a low skilled shitter that can't solo Fatalis without modding it to do less damage.
Confirmed. Only shitters hate cute and funny.
anyone got a link to the nude mods including the dango maker?
I like Chichae because she doesn't sing at all, but I will always love Pukei-Pukei
I miss the old mounting system. No insentive for aerial attacks now
yep, as insect glaive user that was my bread and butter
so what is your personal verdict on skill swap?
will you use it or not?
I find it kinda useful in some of my weapons mainly Swaxe, GL and IG just for the fact I can use more moves rather than the silkbind skills
There's niche scenarios
Out of the weapons I play I'll probably get the most use out of it on Dual Blades
I'll probably only use it for the dodge i-frames and to activate armour skills that rely on swapping
Otherwise, I think I'll stick the same switch skills on both scrolls for 2 of the 3 weapons I main (Bow & SnS)
You can use it just to abuse the i-frames or cancel out of some attacks by just having duplicate loadouts on some scrolls.
It's pretty sick on CB
Elaborate, I've been out of the loop when it comes to CB gameplay
not having to choose between CPP and axe hop is pretty big by itself, it lets you play saed and pizza like it used to, and now both styles are getting skills not in the demo that pushes them further
honestly I feel like swagaxe only really benefits from being able to switch to the counter once for fast amp, it doesn't feel very good compared to invincible gambit
>will you use a move that regenerates half of your silkbind if you time it correctly or not
Gee I dunno
How much will Sunbreak sell?
40% of Rise sales. More than enough to recoup costs
less than world
Between 3 and 4 million I’m guessing.
Over 9 million according to Capcom
Oh nice, been a while since I bothered looking into the sales numbers. Guess 4 million is a better estimate then.
>Base World sold almost double the 2nd game
>Iceborne sold more than the entirety of Rise
>Rise is still 5th despite all of this
Actually insane
Of all the dying franchises I like MH has to be the most successful ones
MH is the farthest thing possible from a dying franchise
Even before world it was literally the CoD of japan. The nips fricking love MH, it's not changing anytime soon
And now the West probably does too
I dunno if they'll ever get World numbers again since a lot of people who tried it genuinely did bounce off of it
Maybe if the release is simultaneous and all the versions of it run well
i wish GE is popular like MH
My daughter soon to be forgotten by time.
MH6 announcing crazy shit could
Imagine something like 150+ monsters on launch
and magic, don't forget about magic
I don’t see 150+ at launch being a thing without some ridiculous subspecies padding, but honestly there’s no reason for them to not have 60 or 70 at launch before updates and expansions at this point. They have every skeleton that isn’t used by only a single monster implemented as of Sunbreak, World was the company’s bestselling game EVER, and the team working on MH6 will have had 5 or possibly 6 years to work on the game after World released in January 2018 with no timesinks like Zorah Magdaros ruining development. If MH6 isn’t second only to Generations in terms of launch content (or possibly exceeding it) then I have no fricking clue what Capcom are doing.
>no time sink like Zorah
Bet that’s what they do.
They already said back in 2019 during Iceborne press that Zorah was a mistake and that they don’t plan on trying something like that again any time soon, so I highly doubt they’ll go back on their word so soon and try to make another set piece fight that no one enjoyed playing and no one enjoyed actually working on (that also took up an entire year of the 3.5 year development schedule). Pretty sure they actually outright said that Zorah Magdaros was a mistake.
>No time sinks like zorah
>Yfw they try to implement water again and it took 2 years
Without insider info it's kind of hard to be able to predict what would be able to be ported over from World + Rise into MH6.
>RE Engine
switch compatible, so all console for MH6?
mh6 was already confirmed to be PS5 exclusive though
>mh6 was already confirmed to be PS5 exclusive though
Snoys fricking WISH.
Switch 2 using DLSS maybe
Probably can't downscale MH6 enough for the current Switch
We know their games can run well on all of the current consoles but there would probably have to be downgrading for Switch
source?
>downgrading for Switch
eh i don't mind, i'm too lazy to play game on pc anyway
capcom leak, same one that revealed that dragon's dogma 2 will be released before sunbreak
>same one that revealed that dragon's dogma 2 will be released before sunbreak
Capcom leaks didn't even have platform info on MH6, only the fact that it exists and was planned for 2023 at some point, besides, Nvidia leaks also had MH6 on them which means it's coming to PC.
>same one that revealed that dragon's dogma 2 will be released before sunbreak
lol
lmao
even a kek
perhaps, a lel
>dragon's dogma 2 will be released before sunbreak
Okay, I smiled.
There will always be a "portable" MonHun
Without it, you lose the millions of sales from Japan
>From what I’ve read,
You should stop reading sonygays shitposting, seriously
moron, Rise is an investment for Switch 2 or whatever Nintendo gonna called it.
>they insist both console and portable is a mainline game
>hungry marketing strategy; console doesn't get Rise while portable doesn't get MHW2 or whatever Capcom gonna called it then later portable will get new title while console doesn't, it keep repeating ad infinitum
>guarantee 6 millions copies sold as bare minimum from core audience alone
>meanwhile pc gets both
DOMINATION
Even though I have an RTX 3070, I'll probably continue getting portable MonHun on the Switch and its successors
I just want to hunt from bed sometimes
No, I won't get a Steam Deck. It's too big
I use Moonlight to game from bed, just directly hooked up my streaming device to my big desktop PC using an Ethernet cable
Game looks gorgeous and I get to play in bed
Why dont u just mount a tv on your room instead of making excuses tendie
>tendie
>when I have a gaming PC
Also because I don't need or want major electronics like that in my bedroom
I'm not a zoomer where my bedroom is my only space. I have an apartment with a living room with a TV and my den/office has my PC.
ignore snoygay, enjoy your gaming session on switch
>apartment
LMAO
>apparently Rise development was a technical nightmare since RE Engine wasn’t designed with Switch in mind
False, the switch was designed specifically so capcom could use The RE engine on it. We've known this for years.
I’m assuming porting stuff from MT Frameworks to RE Engine is fairly easy since a lot of the stuff in Rise was ported from World already, just with scaled down textures and effects. Plus they developed World planning on reusing its assets for the next decade or so, so they would have had RE Engine compatibility in mind from the beginning even though they decided to use the tried and true MT Franeworks for World over RE Engine.
>we know it's likely to be an RE engine game
PLEASE.
World's engine is such a piece of shit, even if I'm not a consolegay and it doesn't matter to me there would only be benefits from using the RE engine over world's.
The only reason World wasn't on RE Engine was because all of Capcom's engine devs were busy helping the other teams figure out the new shit and the MH guys didn't want to wait like 2 years to start on World
World used MT Frameworks which was Capcom’s engine used for every game from the beginning of the PS3/360 generation until RE Engine.
>RE Engine appears to have been designed with larger environments in mind though
it wasn't, the main challenge with re engine always was big open spaces and capcom modified shit out of it for rise, but sonyfgas somehow turned it into
Heres your (You)
>MH is a dying franchise after MHW.
Nice bait
Is this event quest valstrax in the arena a crown guaranteed?
I was going to grind him out with trash gear because I don’t mind low personal damage while getting one shotted but I’m two tries in and this feels “wrong” compared to what I remember of valstrax on switch and in GU
He's much bigger than normal yes
Man frick capcom, I had a feeling something was scuffed when I’m getting clipped at full sprint running perpendicular to shit like the wing thrust which I’ve done hundreds of times
Even in Gen fighting a small Valstrax vs a big one was like two completely different fights
Emergency Crimsonglow is pretty huge though yeah
How fast do you think the final boss is going to be?
1 sec, with pc cheat
I don't mean the hunt, I mean the actual monster. Like, it's relatively big, but they could do a expectation subversion; like how they showed that Gog could fly.
They'll give it instant pin attacks that also shit out AOEs to punish feet-stabbing
Isn't Chichae a teenager?
Maybe? She doesn't look like a total pipsqueak.
What a cutie.
That's the e-girl they're talking about?
Huh Hinoa is better, but if I go back to her depends on how good the new hub is.
>That's the e-girl they're talking about?
Yes that's the character making that insecure twittertard above uncomfortable.
Well, she isn't trying to kill me with Dango so she's already better than Yomogi.
What if yomogi is the girl from mhw...
You know the one that called everyone partner or something i dont wanna summon her
You mean THE Handler?
>Twitter sees a child
I don't really like her aesthetically. Man I wish I could add the Wyverian girl from MHS2.
Ena wouldn't look as cute in the more realistic artstyle and you know it.
damn thats cute
damn that's disturbing
Doesn't matter, she cute and trannies are jealous that she's a woman.
I wonder if they'll change up Espinas' theme a bit; or leave it as is
>still 2 days
Not going to make it
Did they datamine stronger decos/easier to get decos or something like that (like IB introducing double decos)? Stronger amulets?
I might start farming a full set of every deco just to pass time but I feel like it will be a waste of time and Sunbreak will completely invalidate my farm
There are Rampage Decos now, they have rampage skills built in.
Can't tell if serious, Capcom has made absolutely no effort to suggest rampages are even returning in Sunbreak.
You don’t get them from Rampages though, you get them from afflicted monsters.
You are going to make it. The trailer tomorrow will give you a boost.
>the trailer tomorrow
there's a trailer coming tomorrow?
There's a Third-Party Nintendo Direct at about 9am EST tomorrow and we think Monster Hunter will be there.
Presumably. There's a mini Nintendo Direct tomorrow going over 3rd-party games; and with Sunbreak so close, it's bound to happen.
let me play the fricking game already ahhhhh
Guildmarm please come back!!!!
please no, she was almost as bad as handler, but just without as much screentime
I want to make her a Guildmom!! Yes! Yes I do!
>carted once hunting rajang

What about Furious aids Rajang
i'm ngmi
You’re forgetting Furious AIDS Rajang featuring Dante and Knuckles
>final boss is named after an obscure Capcom game
The guy that made that Yomogi and Komitsu mod said he'll probably do Chichae too. So rejoice.
You WILL eat the dango in Elgado
Dango is an invasive culinary blight on the world and a greater threat than any Elder Dragon.
Also, it's tastes bland.
>dango song starts playing
>immediately cut off by a felyne with a giant platter of meat colliding with them
>MH6
>you can choose race between human and wyverian
>each race have different stats and bonuses
you rike? also magic!
>stats
???
human have higher attack than wyverian
wyverian have higehr magic attack than human
>magic
Hunters run on tokusatsu logic, magic is weaker. Besides World already had crossover asshomosexuals with magic and a dragon that literally drains energy from the land.
why was safi so fricking generic, xeno looked kinda cool
Literally because they wanted it to be generic in contrast to Xeno’s design
They probably got themselves into an artistic corner. After all, how would you make it even more alien-like while retaining some natural things?
Safi is cool
I like how you can see all of Xeno's glowy bits when he gets mad in the final room
They wanted a One-Headed Ghidorah from King of the Monsters (2019)
Generic dragons en MH in general works, look at Fatalis for example. After seeing so much weird shit in wolrd, it was perfect to put a generic red one
And like other anons said, even if it does look generic; its attacks sure as hell aren't.
who's that pokemon?
They’ll still justify their b***hing about it though
There is no justification needed outside how fricking cool Xeno is compared to Safi. It's not my fault if you have garbage taste and love Donkey's wife.
Nice justification.
Thanks.
>cool alien dragon turns into generic fantasy dragon vs cool grub turns into cool beetle
what's your point
He's the unfinished halfway beetle, all soggy and squishy
Xeno is my favorite monster of all time, Safi's existence hurts me on a spiritual level. It's like Dragonite all over again.

Damn SA only has good skills
I'm not a fan of the sword dive
Invincible gambit is too fricking good IMO
sword dive lets you recover out of the ZSD launch though. and also gives good amp buildup but now you have the counter so that's not as important
>the 90° degrees dash full of iframes
what?
Including Iceborne’s updates is pretty disingenuous, especially when Iceborne before updates already has 10 more monsters than Sunbreak before updates. But this image was obviously constructed to try and start shit rather than be a proper comparison.
He's a new IP too
We have a pretty comfy thread going
Best to just ignore shit stirrers
Here’s an actual fair comparison for you. Never try to start console war bullshit in my threads ever again.
>Iceborne at launch = 27 monsters
>Iceborne after updates = 35 monsters
>Sunbreak at launch = 17 monsters
>Sunbreak after updates = 27 monsters minimum based on what can be gleaned from the roadmap
at launch = 17 monsters
that's so sad
TU1 will have 8 monsters
>IB at Launch: 63 monsters
>SB at Launch: 62 monsters
>Want to play world
>get filtered by the handler

>that one picture I always see in my room that I took with me and my friends all posing in front of yomogi
>none of them play anymore
The game feels empty now with nothing to do, I just want sunbreak to come out to fill that hole and maybe lure some of them back.
find a new circle
Tetranadon is a neat design for an early game monster and all but why'd they make a second sumo frog
Is tetsu supposed to be a sumo? I don’t get that vibe at all from him, seemed more like a gopher
Sorta, he's got the big sumo stomps too and weeb themed gear.
Why there are no octopus monster in this game to grab my huntress and do dirty thing with her?

I wish we could get Yomogi with medium sized dangos. But that ass is way better than the HPN ass.

indeed. But these huge melons fit Komitsu, I like her having breasts the size of her head.
>rampage slot 3 lets you put daora soul for easy +25% affinity during combos
>rampage slot 2 lets you put wyvern/aquatic/fanged/aerial exploit for free 5% damage on every non-elder
>rampage slot 1 is just buddy rally and some other dogshit
how many weapons are going to be shit just because they miss out on 5% free damage? That's close to the difference between white and purple sharpness
>rampage weapon will be meta
it's time
It was always time as a Bowchad
every MR weapon has rampage slots. I believe the malzeno ones generally have a level 3 slot with 330 raw and natural purple which seems hard to beat
How do I delete all the mods I have for the game? I dont want to frick up my save file before g rank comes out
I hate how they took out exchanging tickets for rare monster materials like in World.
I've been farming 10+ Anjanaths now and didn't get a single gem drop that I need. I really hope they bring it back in Sunbreak.
Double Pilfer cat
>I've been farming 10+ Anjanaths now and didn't get a single gem drop that I need

>I HATE MONSTER HUNTER WHY WON'T CAPCOM TURN IT INTO ANOTHER GAME
God, I hate homosexuals like you
Bit of an overreaction, don’t you think
It's already easy enough getting all the materials for most armors and weapons in 2 or 3 hunts, you will grind for that gem and you will enjoy it
>tfw 6 rathians hunted
>no marrow but 3 plates
PLEASE I JUST NEED 1 (ONE) (UNO) MARROW
Th drop rates are better on Rathalos
Same. I miss tickets and I miss investigations.
>I've been farming 10+ Anjanaths now and didn't get a single gem drop that I need
How do I get the classic experience in Rise like you? Is it a mod?
This. I miss getting fricked by rng.
I genuinely want drop rates to be lower. They don't need to be FU low, but World had a good balance. In Rise everything drops instantly, and I don't like that.
>but World had a good balance
Nah, everything was way too easy to find in world and in the rare event that you couldn't you could just use tickets.
What? In World you could literally buy gems and mantles, it doesn't get easier than that.
Rates themselves are fine imo but I think we should get 2 fewer target rewards
Pilfer cats don't help with scarcity either but I love my pilfer cat so I don't want to see much changes. Maybe make it pilfer 1 less monster item
Is Dos worth playing ?
I'd say play FU, similar gameplay but significantly less archaic and with a bunch more quests/monsters
How much do you enjoy wiener and ball torture?
It is very much worth it, don't listen to homosexuals saying otherwise
Shitbreak will flop, don't forget this tenders.

OH NONONONO IRONBREAKERS HOW CAN WE LET THIS HAPPEN??!!
The combo tooltip UI is only staying for the demo, they literally already said this.
It's staying but you can turn it off in the options. Hell, you can already turn it off in the demo already if you want.
>It's staying but you can turn it off in the options
You said the same about rise arrow and combo from demo
The targetting arrow is present in the full game as a toggable option and the Rise demo never had on-screen combos in the first place, they're only present in the full game in the training room.
>Galleus' outfit is obtainable

Did they ever fix this issue?
it was revealed to be false, moron
Where
It's a schizo moron lying for no reason.
Went and replayed rise uncapped since I double dipped to have sunbreak on PC, and specifically paid attention to attacks like the magna tail thrust and the rajang beam and I noticed no difference with switch rise.
That's good to know, I didn't think it was the case but wanted to be sure
I just watched the start where he dodges the tail stab, uncaps fps then gets hit by the stab again. Its obviously manufactured because he's not even at the same distance from Magnamalo for the second hit. It doesn't prove shit.
Is the Black Eagle worth using at all in Iceborne?
>worth using
I dunno, are you trying to do a TA run?
>slots are still terrible in sunbreak
WHYYYYYYYYY
So people have to actually think to make builds, since artificial deco scarcity is no longer a thing.
+ charms now have slots like before
You're going to be able to slot in most skills easily anyways, do you really need 8+ level 2 and 3 slots on an armor set
This. G-rank Valstrax is probably gonna give you the same shit it's giving us now, so we're guaranteed to have a set with WE, Attack 7, etc. who cares about slots.
Im an ele player, of course i do
As a lance user, yes.
Some of our weapons actually need skills to not feel like shit
The deco level distribution is dogshit anyways there's no way in hell Weakness Exploit in its current state and like 80% of the other skills should be in the same tier
Just edit your 3-1-1 charms to 4-1-1 charms
I hope the Sunbreak amiibo files get dumped relatively quickly after release
I want that layered armour badly
Were you able to get the amiibo sets on PC?
Nah, I make amiibo cards to use with my Switch
Raw multiplier is getting something like a 20% nerf at charge level 4
Raw values for Bow apparently are getting butchered for SB
Good night, my sweet prince. Spread Raw was fun while it lasted...
It's still horseshit the armor is Nintendo-exclusive. Just let me pay for it or something, jackasses
>Bloodlust + Hellion Mode rampage deco DBs
>Bloodlust + Helion + Chain Crit
Bloodlust 2, Coalescence 2, Resuscitate 3, Attack 7, Crit Boost 3, Resentment 2, Chain Crit 1, Protective Polish 3, Element Up 4, Crit Ele 1 should be possible with a half decent charm. Can also sub out some points to get handicraft if needed. Level 2 and 3 of chain crit aren't nearly as impactful as the first point so only having 1 doesn't feel too bad. Same with bloodlust especially since the secondary affinity part doesn't really matter with Hellion Mode.
>Wasting a lvl 2 slot for 5% element crit

It's just on the armor, not intentionally slotted

Im getting my mh reflexes back playing sns and saw a random post about the spinning reaper ender to perfect rush being bad. Anyone know what thats about?
will sunbreak finally let me layer my weapons without having to use the shitty rampage weapons???
Does the Sunbreak HBG rapid fire only work with certain ammo for each gun or did they just say frick it since it's a switch skill and let it work on everything?
Different ammo types can fire different amounts before you overheat, so don't expect you rapid fire stickies all over the monster's face.
Oh there's an overheat
Answers my question then
But that does answer the question. It works on every ammo type but the effectiveness varies wildly. You're only really going to be mileage out of it on standard physical and elemental ammo.
Damn I want to see the trailer live here but 6 AM is way too damn early
I’m playing the shut out of Iceborne before I finally give it a rest after tomorrow. Did all I needed to in base Rise so I’m enjoying Seliana for a bit.
What exactly can the upcoming Nintendo direct tease in the last trailer?
Shagaru? Scorned Magnamalo? Final boss silhouette?
The last ib trailer showed zinogre and some guiding lands, so maybe what comes in post final boss fight but not the boss itself
There won't be a new trailer, risegays are just coping because the leaks revealed how bad it's gonna be.
MHRise gone wrong, cringe or based

This weapon went from zero to hero throughout all the games what made them wake up and fix it
What was wrong befor? I just started using it yesterday and found out to love it.
They made the shield useful, too useful infact, now the sword is obsolete
Imagine
>S&S
>Shield and Shield
>More KOs than hammers, HHs, impact CBs combined
>Enough deeps to make TArannies drool
>Lance-tier blocks
>Can consume 2 items at once with weapon drawn
>Fast with weapon drawn
>Women want him, monsters fear him
So
Tonfas?
>Mid-air combo without falling down
>Dash out, in and on the side with i-frames out of the ass
>Able to run while unsheathe
>Able to stun and cut tails
Frick tonfas.
The last Frontier season before it closed nerfed the shit out of Tonfa's iframes
Probably just to push everyone to try Magnet Spike but still
Magnet Spike having an attack with over 500MV is still wild to me, like holy shit they really wanted to obsolete as many other weapon types as they could with that fricking thing.
Yeah but you can BANDIT BRINGER
and honestly no one used the tailcut explosion, it's just a waste when thr sharpness+ and KO bonus were just better
It was tied with lance for strongest weapon since the first game
SnS was busted in MH1 there was just some less than stellar games in the middle
Wait what? Didnt it only have xxaaa? No shield slash or sheathed items right?
In Freedom 1 SnS had it super sharpness with a 1.5x multiplier, basically built-in purple sharpness on top of its regular sharpness multiplier. The sword attacks weren't any weaker either
>This weapon went from zero to hero
>Literally the strongest weapon since the first game
FU babies please leave.
>Loved Rise
>Haven't played the demo of Sunbreak because I don't want to spoil the fights for myself

>Played the Sunbreak demo because I don't care about spoilers
>Now I can't enjoy base Rise because it feels like I'm missing half my weapon
Frick.
But it seems to only replace the draw charge while the strong charge + TCS/Rage Slash are the same
Thanks Anon, maybe I'll pick up this new GS in Sunbreak then.
In Rise I mostly played Hammer and SnS (shield bash and shoryugekki felt good to use)
And of course the TCS that comes right afterwards feels great to land consistently instead of constantly whiffing.
>played sunbreak demo because I don't care about spoiler
>got shit kicked in by Malzeno
>finally beat it after hundreds tries
>back playing rise
>got new fastest time record because now I play more carefully
Thanks Malzeno
The wallrunning improvement in the Sunbreak demo alone made me unable to go back to Rise.
I only bothered fighting Malzeno once but even that was enough to get his theme stuck in my head. New Jungle BGM is fantastic too.

>from the director of 3 hours essay about MH Dos
That one autistic anon still not give up I see...
It's funny because Dos was reviled for being a incredibly poorly balanced to the point where "tnksn" (Tanaka shine", lit. Tanaka, Die") in response to the director was a bit of a meme.
There's even a Japanese wiki page about it: https://wikiwiki.jp/nenaiko/%E3%83%A2%E3%83%B3%E3%83%8F%E3%83%B3%E7%94%A8%E8%AA%9E/tnksn
>Furthermore, when the problem of "MH2" was pointed out in an interview with Famitsu, Tanaka replied "Well, nature is harsh (laughs)".
>reviled
It sold way more than the original as a JP only game and pretty much codified what's seen as classic MH
For comparations:
>MHF (release date 2005) 1,3 millions copies
>Dos (release date 2006) just 500K copies
The hunter transitioned into a cat?
Funny cats are an MH staple, what a gay.
Didn't MH start as funny or kinda comedic anyway
It's World that made it look like super mega serious
No? World has more comedy than the first 2 gens, though that doesn't mean they were always serious
MH was always goofy.
what the frick is this guys problem
He’s autistic and he posts here. That tells you just about everything you should need to know about him.
idk i think he's pretty neat
Interesting how this guy's thing is to say "Renee monster hunter didn't use to be like this" but the way that MH supposedly used to be like only exists in his head.
I WANNA PLAY AAAAAAH
>5 easy HR7 quest and one advanced apex quest left
i'm gonna make it before sunbreak
godspeed anon
i only made val armor, didn't bother with the advanced quests. i'm too bad for them
Haven't gotten to play the Sunbreak demo yet, how's Sacred Sheath on LS?
Is sunbreak preloaded on switch or will i have to wait for it to download once it goes live?
Wait
IMAGINE THE PUBES
Clean and maintained
Hopefully into a cute pattern.
What will the next weapon look like?
Whip, magic staff, TONFAS WITH BLADED FEET PUT THEM IN REEEEEEEEE
Magic Muff
Hinoa is so cute
The only one we've seen old concept art for that hasn't partially been done in the last few weapons added is the Giant Boomerang
Although at this point I think we'd get one of the weapons from Frontier or the mobile games first since they already have movesets to work with
The only mobile exclusive weapon was Accel Axe IIRC, but it’s a cool one at least.
>Accel Axe
change it to hammer so we can get GE collab...
They could easily rework Tonfa and Magnet Spike from Frontier if they were desperate, conceptually both fill niches the other weapons don’t.
magic wand or staff, MH6 take place in a hub full of wizard/witch
There was one MH phone game that had some concept art for a jet powered hammer that looked really fun, it would use a shelling system to boost its attacks.
Kinda like Beta Dauntless hammer, which was also very fricking fun to use beside the game being a piece of shit.
Soon brother
>Accel Axe
That's the one
I'd really like it in the main game
Halberd.
I’d like punching weapons or a spear/halberd. I’d also like for gunlance to get access to the different ammos. I was very surprised they didn’t add a kusarigama in Rise.
if anything they need to remove weapons first
>Rise on PC
>everyone will cheat engine their fricking gear
>mod support is inferior to World's
Switch it will be
Have you tried not purposely playing with homosexuals?
>switch
>runs like ass
>looks like ass
PC it will be.
MH has been running well enough on portable for more than a decade
I'm playing Iceborne atm and there are tons of cheaters it's actually mind boggling. Did like four hunts yesterday and two of them had a guy with full fatalis gear despite being around MR 20
Sure thing. Have a rat.
hey I remember that thread from yesterday
>caring about graphics while playing MH
Zoomer behavior.
500 hours in world and 130 in rise, found a single "cheater" and couple of dps spamming gays
in 120 hours i have not seen a single cheater
Useless features you wanna see in Gen 6?
You know how you could see the last monster you captured in Astera in MHW? Frick it, make a Monster Zoo as a part of the hub.
the moley dimension
I've only got three weapons that I've neglected in Monster Hunter Rise - Great Sword, Lance and Charge Blade.
Thinking of maining Lance through the Sunbreak story, could anyone give me some tips of general playstyle/what to practice in the demo to get good with it?
stay in face
poke poke
charged slap
git gud with instablock
use either anchor or spiral where applicable
are there any attacks you can cancel into instablock or do you always have to do it out of neutral?
Neutral or dodge before it yes
i sincerely hate this way of drawing mouths in hentai, it is the worst
i dont normally like monhunt but the OP girl and new dicky really makes me want to play it
So, who exactly started this whole "Dos is perfect MonHun" propaganda?
The Frontier footage thief SuperRAD guy or that Jakob schizo?
I only started seeing it after people started posting that one guy's autistic 3 hour video essay talking about how it's way better than World/Rise.
>The Frontier footage thief SuperRAD
As if I couldn't loathe him even more
God I hate monhun e-celeb community as a whole, they are so insufferable it's insane
>they are so insufferable it's insane
Just like the MH community in general
Average mh autists are homosexuals but these frickers are put on pedestal as the mh representative also
I WANT TO FRICK DAME FIORAYNE
Friendly reminder that Frontier’s most based boy, Baruragaru, now has an official English name since he appeared in TEPPEN recently. Allow me to introduce you to Barlagual! Will he be appearing in a future game since he’s been localised now? What do you buttholes think?
Imagine how much cooler playable felynes would be now with a dog mount.
TFW still stuck at HR 85
how many hours til direct
5 hours
MHR in?
Nobody knows. It's a partner showcase. Probably Bayo 3, Rabbids&Mario and MHR:S
long empty corridors bros... remember how we loved those in world and hoped for their to return and be better in sunbreak? well they did!!! we just can't stop winning!!!
The difference is it takes considerably less time to zip across the map now and you're never really confined to those corridors in the first place.
Why is this game so clunky? I'm feeling like I got memed into buying this
that's always the newbie complaint until it just clicks
>tigrex_with_moustache.jpg
You know nothing about clunkiness if you thought the most fast-paced mainline MH so far is clunky
Game sucks, where's Great Jaggi?
Itchy Nose is tired of working on Monster Hunter and hates the people who plays his games, so he included the lesser/baby forms of tons of monsters without the greater/adult forms purely out of spite. The cherry on top was giving an NPC a baby Tetsucabra but not including Tetsucabra as a huntable monster at all.
I’m still a little upset that there’s no Great Boggi in Sunbreak. Oh well, maybe in MH6, alongside Great Wulg.
Jaggi Baggi Wroggi Boggi! What other ggi monsters should they add?!?!
Poggi
Noggi
Jiggi
Shiggi Diggi
lads tell me charge blade is fun again
Changes to CB in SB are great. Love the spike.
It is, it's called SA.
Yes. We now back to 4U where we spam SAED
phial hitboxes seem better based on personal experience and the testimonies of others but we might all just be gaslighting each other. I don't like spinning slash so it's nice
should I pre-order sunbreak?
not really like the base game, just a B tier for me
Depends on what you didn't like about it.
No handler going with you sucked, also game felt to arcade compared to immersive World experience. And to be honest blood felt like totally pointless effect
>No handler going with you sucked
Frick off
This is the preorder bonus. There's no rush even though I already pre-ordered it.
>loyal dog
Frick you for reminding me of that, Capcom.
Cool, will unlock it after release.

Is there anyway to collect all the birds instantly? This shit sucks.
You can always go to 4th gen and world where food became one button buff before hunt.
Rise is for classic mh fans.
Yes
I think it sucks as well. some anon said that the birds were meant to be optional that you don't really need but then again we should not have the rainbow bird at all if that the case.
Whats with this autistic obsession with maxing out the birds
You guys know its shit you're suppose to get passively by getting to and chasing the monster right?
It's a small powerup over the duration of the hunt and not something you need immediately?
>>You guys know its shit you're suppose to get passively by getting to and chasing the monster right?
>not killing it without a chase
>>It's a small powerup over the duration of the hunt and not something you need immediately?
>not doing event quests
cringe
>I need it for the optional rewardless DLC quest that is meant to instant kill you and constitutes 0.1% of the game
Lol
You pretend every quest is an apex emergency?
What's wrong with you?

Speed Polish or Razor sharp for GL
Does razor sharp even work on GL?
