Ballpoint (both kits) and Nautilus are king right now. Heavy Splatling is in a good position. Hydra struggles a little bit with how slow it is. Mini splatling is probably the weakest but it’s still usable.
Oh yeah and forgot heavy edit. It’s good, I’d put it close to heavy but behind ballpoint and naut. Mid range splat w/ coolers so its pretty well rounded

No, that simply means the morons you're playing with are moronic. It's honestly a solid rotation, but people need to know how the S-Blast plays, the person with the Explosher should try to deal with the Flyfish asap, the Jet needs to pay attention to Fish Sticks and Stingers and the Jr should pay attention to how much green paint there is in the base and paint over it, like you said. This on top of just playing the game like normal. Sadly the quality of randoms seems to have taken a nosedive after the golden wild card rotation on Jammin' Salmon Junction and there are a lot of people in EVP who really should not be there. Playing with a full Ganker room earlier was great, because everyone actually knows how to play the game. The moment one dropped there was noticeable drop in efficiency because the randos that replaced him were often moronic, meaning everyone else needs to pick up the moron's slack.
that makes more sense now considering how often people safely get their rewards and stay evp for the next rotation.
i've tried reseting during that rotation to go-getter and got up to evp again within about an hour or two and the shit you see.
the jump from proshitter3 to evp is a big one and people dont adapt quick enough and a lot of it is carries and a streak of special tides.

And it still feels like 80% of the playerbase does not know how to play Cohock Charge. It honestly feels like a lot of people stop the moment they're at risk of demotion, which is fine in theory, but if they never improve then they'll just drag the rest of their team down. At this point I'd be completely fine with a Salmon Run ranking reset every new season. That way they can do a golden wildcard rotation at the end of the season, but all the morons who got into EVP by just spraying and praying with the Grizzco Blaster or something can just get dunked back to Go-Getter and stay there.

Sadly I'm 90% sure it doesn't have the increased ink tank it has in PvP. Bombs cost the same for the Jr as they do for every other weapon.

They're not talking about the ink usage from using a bomb, they're talking about how long Jr can fire and how little ink it uses, meaning it can still fire for a long time and still have enough ink for a bomb.
That's what I did and I took the build from long range splatlings from a player who managed to get rank 21 at best but it's one month old so I don't know if things have changed since.
I just don't know how much run speed I actually need.

If you're still shopping around you should probably just get three pieces with Run Speed Up and don't give a shit about the non-main skills and play around for a bit with that, rather than investing your chunks in gear that might need a skill revamp down the line. Unless you have ten million chunks lying around due to Salmon Run or insane bronze capsule lock and you just don't give a shit about burning a bunch of those.

The people complaining about "no eggs" need to realize the reason we can't deposit any eggs is because you refuse to kill anything and only get tunnel vision on delivering eggs.
Clear the bosses, clear the trash, repaint the turf, and the eggs become a LOT easier to deposit. Also the more trash and bosses you leave out, the more likely people will die, which means less people depositing eggs.
Stop ignoring trash.
Stop ignoring bosses, especially flyfish and stingers.
In the final 30? seconds of a wave, bosses stop spawning. Which makes it much easier to clear what remains and deposit eggs. Most of your egg depositing will be in those final moments. Keep the basket area clean. Stop getting tunnel vision on eggs when we're being overrun with garbage. That is all.
Someone said that because we have an even number of SR maps, in order to make sure a certain king doesn't only appear on the same maps, the kings repeat sometimes.

Not all specials are suited as a panic button, and using something like a Reefslider can be downright lethal on high tide if you aim wrong. And yes, I know that specials should be used before things go to shit, rather than using them to salvage a horrid situation.
But who am I trying to defend here, we both know the pink slopsuit with two unspent specials was sitting on two Triple Inkstrikes or Killer Wails.
That would still be a better use of a Wail than that time I saw some dumbass pop his first wail on the very first Drizzler that spawned at the start of the wave. At least the Eel would be an active threat in that scenario, the Drizzler doesn't become an issue until it shoots its torpedo.

Eh, not all of them have the same "i'm going to bulldoze you" type power that Steel eel as in close encounters. Flipper floppers pretty easy to deal with. Scrappers will respect you when you hit them. Steelheads only can throw bombs at you that are very slow to explode. Maws, once again very easy to deal with and only pops up for a short second to attack. But the steel eel keeps on moving and is invulnerable from the front, stops for no one. It can be destructive if people ignore it, more than other "aggressive" bosses.

Every single boss can be a threat, depending on the situation. A singular eel slowly coming towards you does basically nothing, but an eel on high tide Marooner's can completely lock down one of the entrances to the basket area, or it can chase someone down on the grates of high tide Spawning Grounds.
Just the same, a singular Drizzler at the start of a round isn't going to do much, but one that's left unchecked and starts raining shit all over the area will frick up movement, make it easier for other shit to kill you, like a Steel Eel, or can just give you the last few points of damage before you keel over. It's a more silent killer than the average boss.
Very, very few bosses can be safely ignored and in the end it's best to try and deal with all of them.
Oh, thought it was something more than just SZ. I wonder why they do these anyways, seems boring. They should rerun the special rainmaker challenge, that was a lot of fun.

Nintendo isn’t going to unban me, that much is clear. But I’m back in the pool, I have been since I posted saying that I wouldn’t be playing in the pool. I thought it would be a good idea to have a red herring and join the pool silently, so now nobody can tell who I am/was. I was never going to let the schizo win.
There needs to be a salmon run balance, drizzlers are way too tanky and the balloon needs to be at the perfect angle for it to be shot back. Flyfish spawn at shore the whole game, and there’s not limit on how much can spawn. Steel eels, steelheads, maws, scrappers, big shots, slammin lids, flippers, and fish sticks are fine enough and don’t really need any balance. Grillers spawn way too many smallfrys, glowfly waves are manageable given the right weapons but are a constant onslaught that has no breaks in between, meaning that if someone fricks up or runs out of ink your entire team is fricked. Also coho on Smokeyard high tide is just fricking impossible.
That rotation is fun but rely on team play and trusting others weapons to do their jobs
I wish I could have the Jr. all the time to make my team life easier because holy **** it's the same as ranked, people are so bad at painting because they're locked in tunnel vision mode
But honestly, this mode is brutal for randoms because you can't even chose your weapon or role. Mr. Grizz say "take this" and "go to work now"

Felt like playing some grizzco since I fell off splat3 a while back, jumped in and I can't tell if I'm rusty or have always been bad. The group I was with just barely completed the mission, at Profreshional+1. I don't think I know how to use the explosher or the S-blast 92 effectively. It was fun chaos though.
Pro+1 isn't really a high rank so chances are both you and your teammates were pretty bad.
Plus the Explo and Sblast aren't really the easiest weapons to use.

God I hate glowflies with a passion. I had the S-Blast and you got the Jr. but that wasn't enough. Everything went to shit when that freelancer tried to jump away and I got killed in return

the gun has two firing modes
the jump changes it to a short range firing mode with a MUCH bigger blast radius. Stand under fishsticks and jump and shoot up words to break them faster. Long range mode does the same damage, but the blast is much smaller. Short range mode is best for clearing trash around you.

What are you, nuts? Those two shooters are fricking jr. and jet. I like them, but they're hardly suitable for glowflies. Jr. maybe, but it can't stem the tide easily and the other 3 weapons barely help at all.
This loadout is not perfect man. It's just too weak on damage. Explosher very vulnerable and slow, Jr. and Squelcher while being good at turfing/range respectively are just too damn weak. S-Blast is pretty good in my opinion, the best of all of them and when I have it I know I can generally survive and keep things clean. But it's hard to put a dent into the trash.
As for glowflies, wall strats and what have you are all fine and dandy unless it's high tide. This loadout just isn't ideal for it imo. It's not ideal for a lot of things. But it's manageable. Just feels like pulling teeth sometimes, apologies for bumping the hazard. From 40-400 it was pretty comfy. 600 onwards has just been hell, but GGs getting past that hump.

i've tried reseting during that rotation to go-getter and got up to evp again within about an hour or two and the shit you see.
the jump from proshitter3 to evp is a big one and people dont adapt quick enough and a lot of it is carries and a streak of special tides.
in fact i didn't see a single special tide except cohock cannons
And it still feels like 80% of the playerbase does not know how to play Cohock Charge. It honestly feels like a lot of people stop the moment they're at risk of demotion, which is fine in theory, but if they never improve then they'll just drag the rest of their team down. At this point I'd be completely fine with a Salmon Run ranking reset every new season. That way they can do a golden wildcard rotation at the end of the season, but all the morons who got into EVP by just spraying and praying with the Grizzco Blaster or something can just get dunked back to Go-Getter and stay there.

Sadly I'm 90% sure it doesn't have the increased ink tank it has in PvP. Bombs cost the same for the Jr as they do for every other weapon.

They're not talking about the ink usage from using a bomb, they're talking about how long Jr can fire and how little ink it uses, meaning it can still fire for a long time and still have enough ink for a bomb.
That's what I did and I took the build from long range splatlings from a player who managed to get rank 21 at best but it's one month old so I don't know if things have changed since.
I just don't know how much run speed I actually need.
Apparently it's because you jump to throw off the accuracy of attacking players or when you need a bit of extra range. I'm seeing a lot of two subs all other the place.

If you're still shopping around you should probably just get three pieces with Run Speed Up and don't give a shit about the non-main skills and play around for a bit with that, rather than investing your chunks in gear that might need a skill revamp down the line. Unless you have ten million chunks lying around due to Salmon Run or insane bronze capsule lock and you just don't give a shit about burning a bunch of those.

The people complaining about "no eggs" need to realize the reason we can't deposit any eggs is because you refuse to kill anything and only get tunnel vision on delivering eggs.
Clear the bosses, clear the trash, repaint the turf, and the eggs become a LOT easier to deposit. Also the more trash and bosses you leave out, the more likely people will die, which means less people depositing eggs.
Stop ignoring trash.
Stop ignoring bosses, especially flyfish and stingers.
In the final 30? seconds of a wave, bosses stop spawning. Which makes it much easier to clear what remains and deposit eggs. Most of your egg depositing will be in those final moments. Keep the basket area clean. Stop getting tunnel vision on eggs when we're being overrun with garbage. That is all.

i really wish this game had some matchmaking listing where you put in for a job and you can handpick people, and theres a personal employee score based on performance

Not all specials are suited as a panic button, and using something like a Reefslider can be downright lethal on high tide if you aim wrong. And yes, I know that specials should be used before things go to shit, rather than using them to salvage a horrid situation.
But who am I trying to defend here, we both know the pink slopsuit with two unspent specials was sitting on two Triple Inkstrikes or Killer Wails.

Eh, not all of them have the same "i'm going to bulldoze you" type power that Steel eel as in close encounters. Flipper floppers pretty easy to deal with. Scrappers will respect you when you hit them. Steelheads only can throw bombs at you that are very slow to explode. Maws, once again very easy to deal with and only pops up for a short second to attack. But the steel eel keeps on moving and is invulnerable from the front, stops for no one. It can be destructive if people ignore it, more than other "aggressive" bosses.

Every single boss can be a threat, depending on the situation. A singular eel slowly coming towards you does basically nothing, but an eel on high tide Marooner's can completely lock down one of the entrances to the basket area, or it can chase someone down on the grates of high tide Spawning Grounds.
Just the same, a singular Drizzler at the start of a round isn't going to do much, but one that's left unchecked and starts raining shit all over the area will frick up movement, make it easier for other shit to kill you, like a Steel Eel, or can just give you the last few points of damage before you keel over. It's a more silent killer than the average boss.
Very, very few bosses can be safely ignored and in the end it's best to try and deal with all of them.

There needs to be a salmon run balance, drizzlers are way too tanky and the balloon needs to be at the perfect angle for it to be shot back. Flyfish spawn at shore the whole game, and there’s not limit on how much can spawn. Steel eels, steelheads, maws, scrappers, big shots, slammin lids, flippers, and fish sticks are fine enough and don’t really need any balance. Grillers spawn way too many smallfrys, glowfly waves are manageable given the right weapons but are a constant onslaught that has no breaks in between, meaning that if someone fricks up or runs out of ink your entire team is fricked. Also coho on Smokeyard high tide is just fricking impossible.

I really don't like getting explosher because nobody ever wants to back me up. I want to try and kill flyfish but nobody's killing garbage, I can hardly make my way to them, or get to a good vantage point. By the time I do I'm being overrun because once again nobody is killing anything. So I try to clear as much garbage as I can with the thing but it takes fricking forever. I wish I could just get the blaster because none of these frickers want to kill anything.
The blaster in long range mode is great to open a path but yeah explosher feels bad and a bit clunky when you're fighting alone without someone watching your back. I always try to make his life easier by at least damaging the cohocks around him so he can kill them in one swing

Felt like playing some grizzco since I fell off splat3 a while back, jumped in and I can't tell if I'm rusty or have always been bad. The group I was with just barely completed the mission, at Profreshional+1. I don't think I know how to use the explosher or the S-blast 92 effectively. It was fun chaos though.
Pro+1 isn't really a high rank so chances are both you and your teammates were pretty bad.
Plus the Explo and Sblast aren't really the easiest weapons to use.

Explosher have a build in grenade so you can kill flyfish or mudmouth with
S-Blast have two modes, long range but small radius when you're on the ground and short range but big radius when you shoot while jumping

it's basic shit
the gun has two firing modes
the jump changes it to a short range firing mode with a MUCH bigger blast radius. Stand under fishsticks and jump and shoot up words to break them faster. Long range mode does the same damage, but the blast is much smaller. Short range mode is best for clearing trash around you.

Zooka could use some startup delay, and I also wish Hydra would get a tiny buff. Would it be broken if Ink Vac had a small amount of armor after fully charging?
I think Hydra is one of the main weapons that are just never going to get buffed because they are strong in the lower skill ranks and they worry if they even buff it a little it'll be even worse

Finally, one last boss. Goddamn glowflies, man. Earlier was pretty rocky, but this second session was way more fun. It may not be 999, but 250 isn't bad considering how fricked smokeyard is. Thanks for the fights, and the gold. Hope to play with you guys more often.

What are you, nuts? Those two shooters are fricking jr. and jet. I like them, but they're hardly suitable for glowflies. Jr. maybe, but it can't stem the tide easily and the other 3 weapons barely help at all.

This loadout is not perfect man. It's just too weak on damage. Explosher very vulnerable and slow, Jr. and Squelcher while being good at turfing/range respectively are just too damn weak. S-Blast is pretty good in my opinion, the best of all of them and when I have it I know I can generally survive and keep things clean. But it's hard to put a dent into the trash.
As for glowflies, wall strats and what have you are all fine and dandy unless it's high tide. This loadout just isn't ideal for it imo. It's not ideal for a lot of things. But it's manageable. Just feels like pulling teeth sometimes, apologies for bumping the hazard. From 40-400 it was pretty comfy. 600 onwards has just been hell, but GGs getting past that hump.
