Are Dunmer the most degenerate race in the series? >Openly and proudly worship demon-gods of betrayal and murder >Follow your gods' advice and move to an inhospitable hellscape >Form prejudices and generational hatred against your neighbours for making better choices >Worship a trio of shameless traitors who are using your entire race to fuel their ego trip >Despite all that, lose to the empire and be colonized and your scarce natural resource taken away from you >Embrace the worst aspects of the empire, like cronyism and sexual deviancy >Still consider itself to be the superior race in all of Tamriel
Amazing how Ganker jerks itself raw with Morrowind's soulful bug aesthetics but when Carl Shwab offers you to experience them in real life it is suddenly a terrible dystopia. Makes you think...
There has never been a Dunmer child in any game .
Nobody wants to mount up one of those smurf she beasts .
They only time they get laid is the books they write about how much they get laid.
That's actually fricked up, never though about it. >For TESV: Skyrim, we've added kids to Tamriel! >just human ones though
Obviously it was a cost cutting measure to reuse work done for Fallout 3, but still.
They even did an official family-oriented DLC, and you could only adopt one race of kids.
>A loose retelling of buddhist and mesapotamian myths is unique
With bugs yes. What other game has Wizards living in mushroom-towers fricking their cloned homunculi concubines? What other game had a giant meteor suspended above Venice?
Pathologic 2 is flavorfull but most rpgs, including Oblvion, intentionally try to be as indistinguishable from the mass as possible.
I blame Ken Rolston, who was largely responsible for Morrowind being so great. There were barely any designers on Morrowind for a while so he had a ton of control over a lot of aspects. For Oblivion he just let the designers/writers do their own thing so they could be as creative as they want which was such a horrible idea for a game that relies so much on the world building but hey it wowed 10 year olds in 2006
nah don't blame Ken.
As every fan has already pointed out, the lore described Cyrodil as a jungle. Oblivion made it the most unmemorable generic fantasy possible. Less interesting than real medieval Europe. Less interesting than LotR.
For sure, someone in marketing (Pete Hines) had the shit idea that the game would sell better if it was less weird -despite Morrowind, their weirdest game, being Bethesda's best seller yet. Then, after Oblivion sold even better than Morrowind, its' sucess was falsely attributed from dropping all distinct lore.
That's how marketing works in corporations. Idiots frick-up the production process and are given raises for their incompetence.
Man Oblivion could've been the greatest game ever made if it didn't get casualized to complete death. All it had to do was improve some of Morrowind's aspects and bring us the true Cyrodiil. I have no doubts it would've made the game better for everyone, casuals and hardcore players.
It's good they revisted Morrowind in Skyrim but they fricked-up. The evil Dragonborn quest was clearly meant to be a seperate quest from Dagoth Ur's earlier in development but they get sloppily mashed together.
Huh? They revisited Solthsteim and I don't remember any Dagoth-Ur references.

I misstyped. I meant Hemora the tentacle-rape librariran.
Shivering Isles uses visuals to hide its shallow world building just like the base game, it's just this time the visuals are more exotic. The characters are beyond shit, some of the worst from a mainstream RPG. The politics are nonsensical, along with a ton of other aspects because crazy cheese man said so. If you think Shivering Isles is a "return to Morrowind" in any way other than le mushroom then I'm sorry but you're completely vapid.
Never said Shivering Isles was a return to Morrowind. Said it was the best part of Oblivion.
>politics are nonsensical
It's mania vs depression.

Yeah, Hermaus Mora is one of the most interesting daedra princes out there, glad that we got a whole dlc for him. Although now there are not that many interesting daedras to focus on for VI.

Most or the deadra are pretty dumb if you ask me (except mora). I guess we’re stuck with the pantheon, but there’s only a few memorable ones.

>Never said Shivering Isles was a return to Morrowind.
Nevertheless, it's such a shit expansion that I can't even begin to get interested in. Making characters say dumb shit cause they're crazy because you can't actually write compelling characters is painful to sit through unless you're 13 years old.

it was fun >choosing how to drive a party of advenuterers going through a dungeon insane >building your own gatekeeper >choosing between Mania and Depression
Cyrodil's Champion becoming Sheogorath's more satisfying than fulfilling the Nerevarine Prophecy.

>choosing how to drive a party of advenuterers going through a dungeon insane
I too enjoy quests which have literally nothing to do with your build and are just press E to watch a cutscene. I guarantee if this quest was in any other game your nostalgiagay ass would think it was boring like I do. If you even play other RPGs, that is. >building your own gatekeeper
That was fun? How? You're just giving it slightly different stats that don't even matter in the slightest. It's not like you can fail or frick up. >choosing between Mania and Depression
The succession quests are okay in a vacuum but once again I have no reason to give a shit about this shallow moronic world.
You know I've noticed people that praise this expansion never seem to mention just how much boring ass fricking combat there is. Same with the base game. Omg the qeusts r so good!! meanwhile the quests are 80% mind numbing combat in repetitive dungeons while you listen to some terrible linear plot. God I hate this game.

Post Morrowind they shifted from world building to storytelling.
Morrowind was rather verbose and dry in its exposition. They wanted something more engaging than what Morrowind offered.
They were correct.

This. Oldgays cannot grasp that the average gamer legitimately had a better experience with streamlined Oblivion and Skyrim than dice roll MinMaxWind

>makes appeals to normalgays and casuals when it's convenient for him
The only game that got Cyrodil wrong was Morrowind. That and the beast race legs.
Some of the devs did not put in their due diligence and just retconned shit willy nilly.
It is understandable as there was no real oversight or QA to speak of.
You forget that imperials are also involved and its the closest you will ever get to a RPG about Romans occupying Assyria and Babylon and dealing with locals and their customs and the clashes of race, religions, factions, sects, etc.
I blame Ken Rolston, who was largely responsible for Morrowind being so great. There were barely any designers on Morrowind for a while so he had a ton of control over a lot of aspects. Bug shells and chitin are cool as frick. I wish there was more bug orientated that wasn't so cartoony. Beetles alone look like someone was having fun a mecha creator just adding / taking away things. Beetle wrestling is fun as frick to watch because of it.
Most people use some version of MGE XE or OpenMW, which have UI scaling options.
Those are both overkill for such a simple problem. Someone ought to make a lightweight version of the MGE XE UI scaler for new vanilla players.
I guess my recommendation is to install MGE XE and uncheck as many boxes as possible, unless you want some graphics changes.
mite b cool
Carlos!
FRICK BUG.
Conduct business with bug.
NOOOO I WAS GOING TO SELL MY DARK BROTHERHOOD ARMOR TO HIM NOOOOOOOO
Is that mussy?
The "live in bug" image isn't actually about crabs?
Stop being racist n'wah.
I'd rather be a racist that a filthy bugman, grey'un.
Nice roleplaying homosexual, Dunmer are deeply racist and with no shame about it, they even justify slavery with it.
Are Dunmer the most degenerate race in the series?
>Openly and proudly worship demon-gods of betrayal and murder

Why are so many Dumner women into necrophilia?
It is the only time Dumner men get stiff.
Sounds pretty based, if you ask me.
Show hand
At least we have culture, n'wah
Loser culture is still technically culture so point to you.
Yes, which is why Emil was entirely justified to explode Red Mountain and kill off half of the Dunmer population
>sexual deviancy
Unironically does sexual deviancy even exist in the TES universe? No one seems to care about the gays
I meant necrophilia and beast race fetishes, which we encounter quite a lot in Morrowind
Also incest I guess
Dunmer are like Americans, a completely subjugated mutt race still clinging to glories of the past and 'One of these days, I'll...' levels of cope.
At least kids going to schools and have a future there.
Amazing how Ganker jerks itself raw with Morrowind's soulful bug aesthetics but when Carl Shwab offers you to experience them in real life it is suddenly a terrible dystopia. Makes you think...
shut up moron
What, made you think, huh?
>You like FPS games but don't want to get shot in a foreign country... curious...
>Curious, you kill npcs in Morrowind but you are not a serial killer in real life. Maybe it's not that great of a game eh? GOTCHA
There were no kids in Morrowind. The whole Dumner men pushing rope thing.
There has never been a Dunmer child in any game .
Nobody wants to mount up one of those smurf she beasts .
They only time they get laid is the books they write about how much they get laid.
Hard to imagine someone mounting the eternally frigid Nord women and yet we have orphanages full of northerner spawn.
Found the jealous dumner b***h.
Vivec would rather frick a dung beetle than a dumner woman.
Yet another reason Skyrim sucked.
They also have kids with Imperial and Breton naming conventions, but they look identical to Nord kids.
Shit's a disgrace.
Every single child in Skyrim uses the same model and face, just with different hair.
mephala is arachnid so not a bug/insect
and as other anon pointed out, the live in bug is actually a crab
4/6 is still bug
Care to comment, bugman?
Silt striders may not be bugs either
encounter bug
underrated
>Morrowind comes out
>even cooler and more unique than Planescape
>Pete Hines ensures TES is never that interesting again
Thanks Pete.
>A loose retelling of buddhist and mesapotamian myths is unique
Gayming truly is the fool's hobby
in gaming it certainly is
don't stroke his ego he just wants to look smart

I love morrowind! I just rolled an orc female so i cum like a firehose when I play! Almost 5 face variations to choose from.
How do I increase font size in Morrowind, I can't see shit

just out here living that comfy bug life
what's your province look like n'wah?
Shame that 1/3 of that extra map is depopulated still.
That's one of the best parts. It's logical that civilization would be closer to the coast rather than near the frickhuge volcano.
