I hate to say it, but elden ring is soulless as frick. And since they will base their next souls game on this formula; it's dead as frick.
It's All Fucked Shirt $22.14 |
It's All Fucked Shirt $22.14 |
i completely disagree.
it really has worse boss battles than sekiro bb das3 that along side with sprinkled filler content and recycling it is not even top 3 fromsoft games.
Elden Ring is peak reddit. Absolutely mediocre game with objectively bad design, cheap cheesing bosses, and I Wanna Be The Guy tier artificial difficulty. Beating bosses is entirely a function of rote memorization and takes zero actual skill, reflexes, or strategy. It's absolutely inexcusable after 13 years to still have enemies attacking through solid walls, still lack basic features like pausing, and still have every npc interaction be either "stand still and mumble gibberish, then laugh like a moron" or "le edgy go insane and attacks you for no reason".
It's the worst Souls game, and it only got popular because le ebin Game Of Thrones man hyped up redditors and twitch zoomers. This is the empirical reality, you cannot change my mind, and if you disagree you are provably wrong.
>Game is le bad because the youtube man said it was good.
Nice reddit spacing homo.
newbies
>Calls something reddit
>Reddit spaces himself
Now this is peak shill.
>NPC interaction be either "stand still and mumble gibberish, then laugh like a moron"
i'm really sick of that shit
>worst performance
Now thats just a blatant lie. The game actually has a stable 30 fps on ps4 which is a hell of a lot more than bloodborn managed.
I played the network test on ps4 and it ran at like 20 fps
Thank god I was born with shit taste then. You can go away and let me play if you want.
Yes... all those people having "fun" with Elden Ring bosses. The normies that hard dropped the game after a month and the thots that do play it on twitch for money, i'm sure they're having a blast.
>normies that hard dropped the game after a month
>achievement completion rates are through the roof, over 30% cleared Malenia (tactics notwithstanding)
bloodborne had great bosses, das3 had overall good bosses, sekiro had great bosses, das3 had better bosses than elden ring.
moronic opinion, BB bosses are all style over substance, I suck at parries but can chain stunlock all humanoids, the rest with the exception of Ludwig are some of the worst shit From has made, crap like Mergo’s Nurse are so bland some of the normal enemies in ER are more frightening and probably have a more varied moveset
DS3 with DLCs and Sekiro are the peak
Worst opinion in this thread.
>DS3 with DLCs
>Halflight
>Champion's Gravetender
Gravetender is a perfectly good monster fight that just has an invader attached.
The wolf is also garbage and they reused it for the Red Wolf of Radagon and made it worse.

Absolutely fricking 0 with the exception of Gehrman and Gascoigne, bloodborne's base bosses are so fricking uninteresting it makes me look forward to fighting Godskin Quatro in the Elden Ring DLC
If it weren't for Bloodborne's DLC the base game would be the absolute worst game
mogh and margit where good but thats it
>bloodborne had great bosses, das3 had overall good bosses
Das3 bosses are so much better than Bloodborne bosses it's not even fun
Elden Ring bosses are also better than BB bosses
firs´t good das3 boss was pontiff , bb starts way better drops in middle and gets great in dlc. also every boss in bb had good lore, unlike in das3, except pontiff and consumed king.
nah every weapon in bb is pretty much better, and bosses are designed around them, in er you cant even design bosses because off all phantoms spells and weapons that deals 1500dmg
I didn't mind the game. However, I thought it was too long and big on a first time playthrough. Playing it after the 2nd time on a new save, I don't fricking feel like running around all creation to get flask upgrades and shit again.
Too unfocused, the main dungeons were the best parts of the game (although still kind of bland compared to past games).
The Dark Souls stuff has run its course too, better to have something a bit more unique in style like Bloodborne or Sekiro.
performance (irrelevant for me because epic gayman PC but still important to consider)
it's not even hardware related, it had awful stutters plaguing it until patches and even then
That's dx 12 tbh. Haven't played a single dx12 without stutter.
Shazaam lost
Discord trannies will never be real women
Didn’t like it that much the combat system was much more primitive than Nioh and item usage sucked. All you do if find some combo and spam that till victory no thinking in ER
Ok
smug homosexual
>>3rd worst build variety
So second best?
Welcome to Ganker fellow 9gagger
its okay. weaker of the fromsoft titles imo for the scope it tried to achieve
>Most filler
Expected from open world to fill, don't disagree here
>Worst armor
easily the best armor sets in all of souls, bloodborne has like 2 proper armor sets and the majority from ER are from previous souls games moron
>Worst performance (irrelevant for me because epic gayman PC but still important to consider)
60 Fps locked on PS5, stop being poor
>3rd worst build variety (after ds3 and ds1)
Combined DS1/DS2/DS3 together multiple it by 10 and you still dont touch ER's build variety, on top of that Bloodborne once again has like 2 builds moron
>2nd worst bosses (after ds2)
Bosses are ass but still better than every other game from fromsoft with the exception of DS3 and Sekiro
>Highest selling, most normies playing
popular is.. LE BAD!
kys moron
>easily the best armor sets in all of souls
Your havel's, ma'am (sir)
forgot pic im drunk
This set + Commander Niall's helm is pretty good
This set's ugly as sin and doesn't coordinate with anything except itself.
>dude what if moronicly placed horns
dumb as frick
Nice opinion.
Couldn't even bring myself to finish it. I think I put in 10 hours after killing Morgott, and I'm convinced if it ended at Morgott, this would have been a 9/10 for me. I explored half of the snow area, and realized the game has already shown me everything it has to offer, but still just wants to keep going.
The meta-slaving is worse than ever also, why would I want to engage in multiplayer when it's only the same three builds.
What a missed opportunity.
i finished it but around 2/3 into the game it started to really feel like it overstayed its welcome and i just wanted to get it over with.
also finished the demon souls remake recently and the length felt much better
ER has so much filler content that i struggle to think of playing it again with different build
It's alright. But they didn't fix half the shit wrong with souls game in the first place, and it reverts to being dark souls after a few hours
>co op mod is still a buggy mess and the guy still wont update it.
Fix the lock on bug you homosexual
>Most filler
True - the world could have been more condensed. Plus they stuck a health bar on basically anything and called it a boss
>Worst armor
Some hits in there for sure - D's set is one of the best they've done and there's far more germanic themed armor in the game too and some solid wizard threads
>Worst performance (irrelevant for me because epic gayman PC but still important to consider)
Solved by less bloat in the open world
>3rd worst build variety (after ds3 and ds1)
Ds3 felt far worse than elden ring. Best is still bloodborne
>2nd worst bosses (after ds2)
Some dragon fights were good but there has been nothing *memorable* for me. The most memorable is still held by bloodborne
>Highest selling, most normies playing
That's not a problem
Bloodborne > Dark Souls > Demon's Soul > Elden Ring > Dark Souls 2 > haven't played Dark Souls 3 > haven't played Sekiro > don't give a shit > Armored Core
Close to mine, also haven't played Sekiro though I should soon.
I'd go BB > DS1 > DS3 > ER > DS2
>Bloodborne first
That's good enough for me m8. You should play Sekiro though. It's great.
The ringsoulbornero series is the best thing to happen in the last 15 years of gaming. The only thing I wish the would have done for elden ring is make the combat more fluid and aggressive, like a hybridization of sekiro and bloodborn.
>>Most filler
More like you got most filtered.
The first Crucible Knight miniboss is unironically a better fight than anything in the first three Souls games.
Mohg, Radagon, Morgott, Malenia, Placidusax, Godfrey, Godrick, Radahn, and Malekith are each better than anything in DS3 and Bloodborne, especially vanilla.
>The first Crucible Knight miniboss is unironically a better fight
stopped reading here
Filtered.
It is a garbage enemy and a disgrace to how good and varied Lothric Knights were. Now that's a well done knight enemy, no need for spinning magic wings.
I absolute love how everyone was mad because dark souls 3 was such a one button spam fest and then Fromsoft turns around and shits out elden ring which doubles down on the obnoxious amount of one button gameplay
Sure is fun doing absolutely nothing but spamming busted skills, jump attacks and crouch attacks.
Elden Ring > DS3 = Sekiro > Bloodborne > DS1 > DS2 (SOFTS) > DeS > DS2 (base)
elden ring should have been a party based RPG
people were justifiably hyped for the open world for a very good reason, games should focus around delivering the kind of epic totally immersive fantasy adventures that people watch and read, instead of a series of dungeons like dark souls. the open world promises an amazing epic journey, which it partially delivers, but it's hampered by the deadness of the world and your characters total lack of character. Plus it already has two entire systems for summoning, if you had party members (which you could equip and level) instead of spirit ashes it would give you something to do with all the filler gear you find.
