Only way I can see 3 being a success is if they do a everyone is here and manage to pander to both casualgays and tourneygays.
Presumably a lot can be copy/pasted over from 2 which for what it's worth, was a good game. If the sequel was the first NASB game, the franchise might have had staying power.
The problem is, would it sell well? 2 was a better game but there was a feedback loop of people being hesitant to pay for the game out of concern it would die quickly which led to low player counts which led to people being hesitant, and so on.
The problem with 2 was that people didnt like the cuts and some of the newcomers, the game's cast also got leaked too early so there wasn't that much interest from rostergays.
NASB3 would need heavily requested characters like Timmy Turner and bring everyone that got removed from NASB1.
Also this is on my part but they really need to get better animators, some attacks and specially the hurt animations still look really amateurish (Rocko's final smash in particular is baffling).
Timmy Turner apparently is swamped in a bunch of weird copyright shit.

I have read the whole Nelvana thing but its still weird to me considering Timmy has appeared in other modern Nick games like that tennis game for iOS, gonna guess Viacom/Gamemill doesnt want to spend that much on these games, that or they're waiting for that crappy netflix reboot to air so they can add the black girl with cosmo and wanda as helpers instead.

Yeah, NASB2 is a rock solid foundation. A sequel that just adds more content and modes shoukd do well.
An advertising budget and proper roster would help too. Hell if they just staple 1 and 2s lists together with 2s mechanics it'd be a keeper.
