Thats the problem. Spider-man super reaction is used to react in conjunction with his spider-sense. If the spider-sense isn't triggered, his subconscious just doesn't register as a threat. There was one magazine issue where it was adressed. I think Spidey loses his spider-sense and has to retrain and daredevil helps him with that

There is no scenario where this scene isn't completely moronic. Why would she? MJ was coming out to place herself between Peter and Harry. Your question would make sense if she was trying to tackle Peter, because then his sense would flag that as a threat to his person.
Spider sense is always going off from people screaming and stuff cause it senses anything that could be dangerous. It's an instinct not an AI overwatch. Venom doesn't because it treats it like him. That doesn't mean if Venom was cleaving through Times Square that Spiderman wouldn't be alarmed by all the screaming and whatnot.

It's not. By default Spider-sense only triggers to things that are a danger to him. There's a comic story arc where he tries to be a better hero by cranking up his spider-sense to trigger to the levels you're imagining and it actually makes him worse because he wants to save everyone but everyone's in danger all the time.
I dont know why everyone just refers to this scene. There's plenty of parts in the game where Peter gets smoked from attacks and stuck under shit. There's a scene where some concreate falls on top of him and he needs harry to help him get out. He just sucks all game for everyone else to shine

Or better yet, Peter should use his body as a shield to protect MJ from the punch and while they are about to hit the fridge Peter shields her from the impact.
