MTG Arena Sucks

>can't barter cards
>no secondary market at all
>can't get physical cards
>can't start a draft or tournament exclusive to you and your friends

Why fricking bother? Why not just use wieneratrice or whatever?

No secondary market is a good thing.

How do you figure? It's a trading card game. Minus the trading.

Because I don't get priced out by cucks who spend/steal huge piles of cards, or flaunt their wealth by playing rip or flip.

If you wan to eliminate the pay to win element, play Limited. Don't destroy all of Constructed just because you're a poorgay

Maybe stop ruining the game by threatening to sue WOTC for "ruining your investment" when they think about reprints.

Constructed died when WotC stopped supporting it.

Also I don't spend money on Arena. Ask Zach Jesse about his Modo account.

How did WotC stop supporting constructed?

All sanctioned events were stopped for the coof panic and when it ended, they never came back in a way that matters. 99.99% of people don't actually get anything for playing organized Standard anymore. So they don't. There's no coverage for pro tours anymore, no game footage, and what little there is you have to hire a team of sleuths to find. Other formats have been deliberately turned into ridiculous money pits where the average deck costs a 4 digit number. It's all in ruins. Constructed play is over.

Standard hasn't been good since Khans at the best, and I personally think it's been bad since Innistrad rotated out in favor of Theros. Innistrad was the last fun limited format, too. Though I haven't played any limited post WAR, so take that as you will.

But I also recognize that I am not everyone, and that Standard was still popular until, as you pointed out, the coof got wotc to fricking cancel magic.

Based Innistrad enjoyer, it was a sick limited block

Dominaria was a great set. Both limited and what it did for Standard.

I enjoyed Theros block but I also blow in and out of Magic for the gimmick sets since I can't take the "competitive" scene seriously.

I'm just also a bit reluctant to pay money to "own" things that I can't sell. Ownership entails ability to sell. It's not about "investments," it's about not being gaslit by Hasbro.

                And it's a good thing!

Based Maro reprinting cards like mad and destroying demand for existing cards to bankrupt investooor gays and make the game accessible to actual players once again.

They support coomander to hell and back, but they don't give a shit about 60 card formats. They refuse to ban cards until right after they stop printing them. The "When it was printed" rule to determine formats is an outdated and trash idea that only worked for so long because cards just got weaker and weaker, except for the occasional accident, for most of the game's history. They really need a usage based format system instead of a time based one.

I got to see the increase in the what was expected of a bear for most of the games history. What do you mean weaker?

I wish. As shitty as smogon is, at least it works infinitely better than the alternatives.

          >I don't get priced out by cucks
Anon, the way it works now, every single card is jacked up in price. If you get a good card that you don't need, you don't get to trade it for like 3 of the card you want.

Why the frick I always can have a friendly game with red bros, green bros, sometimes with white fellas, but rarely with black gays and NEVER with bluegays? They never tell 'hello' or 'gg' and like ALWAYS have some edgy avatar. Whats wrong with them?

Beats me, anon. I quit paper MtG in 2016, and only play draft / sealed premodern block now, in either wieneratrice or Forge.

See, if you had to pick One and only One, it sure as shit isn't going to be a digital market for a virtual card game.

"Reprinting" old cards as new sets, but digital only.

A new format they invented with reprints from older sets and a bunch of new broken cards that only work in a digital format (e.g. doing things like put copies of certain cards into your hand or deck), sort of like Hearthstone. It's a fricking embarrassment.
