Why do morons complain that Gen 4 legends are "too" powerful? It makes no sense to me. This idea that gens need to continue to powerscale up makes no sense to me. It makes sense to go from a planetary force like Gen 3 legends to a universal force like Gen 4 legends. And Arceus exists to give an origin to the universe itself. There is also an argument that they should have saved it to last. But if you were even slightly rational you would realize that GF is never going to end this franchise. This shitty, broken gens still break records. There will be no end. Gen 4 legends are not bad for being powerful, sorry this makes you feel insecure, anon.

PLA retcon the Arceus being the god of pokemon. The one in your picture (and others) are just a small fraction of the real thing.
"Arceus" is god. The one we see in the games is just an avatar, also called Arceus. It's the same thing.
But that real one is still Arceus. It's just the ones we use in games are a small chunk of it.
>t. someone that got filtered by the concept of the christian trinity
At the time, gen 4's story felt very much like gen 3's but with the power levels scaled up. And since it had scaled from a planetary threat to one that endangers all of reality, it seemed Gamefreak had written themselves into a corner and had nowhere left to go.
Fortunately, they realized this too, and have scaled things back since.
This was already a common headcanon that's supported by dex entries. It's not a retcon.
You're 15 years too late
I’m still trying to figure out which trio would win
tldr but afaik the franchise going "unbeatable gods and space and time travel" usually means the shark is getting jumped
Why? Who cares?
You
Because nobody needs a DBZ situation where the power ceiling has to keep climbing to infinity. That's why Reshiram and Zekrom actively took the piss out of legends by being nothing but figureheads, status symbols rather than gods.
Which furthers my point that the powerscaling argument is moronic.
>Why do morons complain that Gen 4 legends are "too" powerful?
Because they are. I think the bigger sin is their abilities don't even factor into their gameplay because they couldn't even think about how to factor in time and space abilities mechanically without making them broken as frick. Imagine how fricking lame Groudon and Kyogre would be if they just had Pressure as their abilities instead of sun and water controlling abilities.
>Because they are

>I think the bigger sin is their abilities don't even factor into their gameplay because they couldn't even think about how to factor in time and space abilities mechanically without making them broken as frick
Compared to what? Almost every legendary would be broken as frick if they weren't nerfed because of game balancing.
>Imagine how fricking lame Groudon and Kyogre would be if they just had Pressure as their abilities instead of sun and water controlling abilities.
This is Gamefreak's fault, not the Pokemon's. GF could have made something but was lazy as usual.
Yeah. Just give Dialga and Palkia terrain settong abilities. Simple as and makes them more unnique.
Also pressure needs to be boosted
>Dialga: The turn counter progresses at double speed (equivalent to everyone having Truant, but without any message popping up)
>Palkia: Non-status moves always hit, but power is multiplied by accuracy
If it's implemented that way then Roar of Time no longer has a recharge turn.
What would be a Palkia ability that boosts Spatial Rend in a similar way? Both teams get dual screens while it's out, so that critical hits are more valuable?
Ability that allows Spacial Rend to ignore moves like Protect, Deflect, etc.

>Past/Future
What other aspects of the natural world could be personified as legendaries? Or other interesting concepts, like how the Regis are stages of human advancement and the lake chibis are aspects of the mind. The last few gens have definitely still had legendaries representing that sort of thing but seem to have upped the number of legendaries who are just powerful local deities or alien monsters, as the more obvious natural phenomena have been used.
You see anon, /vp/ has a problem where it's made up of braindead people who can't form their own opinions and instead endless parrot each other. This "complaint" is a perfect example. No one can actually explain what the problem is. An anon thinks the gen 4 legendaries being gods is bad because they read another anon say so, and that anon thinks that because they read another anon say so, and it just goes on endlessly like that. You can win the vast majority of arguments on /vp/ just by asking "Why?". Just keep that in mind from now on.
Sinnoh is just the strongest region
strongest legends
strongest champion
strongest protags
>headcanon
Ok
cope its canon
>strongest legends
Enraged origin Dialga/Palkia couldn’t kill a 15 year old rolling around and throwing pixie dust and you expect me to believe that’s the strongest legendary? At least with Arceus’ pathetic looking judgements and draco meteors you can excuse it holding back to test you.
>strongest champion
Never once been stated anywhere. She’s definitely in the top 3 at the very least but I can’t think of a single time she’s been stated as the strongest unlike Red, Leon, or even Hilbert/Hilda from their cut introduction in B2W2’s PWT. If you want to argue gameplay wise with her rematch team then you might as well account for gameplay wise when it comes to the legendaries in which case Hoenn, Alola, Galar, and Paldea all have stronger Pokemon than even Arceus.
>strongest protags
I’ll agree with this one that Akari/Rei are the strongest if we only count what you’re required to do to beat the mainline games. Lucas/Dawn though are not that special. As for them being the same person, Masters kinda proves against it when Irida and Adaman confuse Lucas and Dawn and calls out for them as ‘Akari and Rei’ (if one of them really were the same person as the DP protagonist then Irida or Adaman would’ve called one of them Lucas or Dawn instead.) Then again, Masters should be ignored for a lot of stupid shit it does.
>schizobabble
>unlike Red, Leon
Even more schizobabble
Nice argument
it is, isnt it?
What's wrong with them being powerful?
You people are too obsessed with opinions you read.
