Originally Zelda was supposed to have overt Christian imagery. OoT added some Islamic influence though I don't think it's been apparent or as apparent in any game after.
Zelda is VERY influenced by christianity, if it weren't for how badly christians were treated in Japan, Zelda would not be as successful a series.

Not even close to what happened. Ganondorf was closely monitoring them after his meeting with the Hylian king and played 5D chess to enter the sacred realm. No one sold them out, they were outplayed because they were literal children trying to plot against a tactical warlord.

Its perhaps the best dungeon music of OoT. Perhaps Zelda dungeon music overall. Such a great ambient.
Shame it got changed for some generic shit because some israelites got intimidated.
It's not as overt, but the other temples have strong middle-eastern influences too. Like that one instrument in the Water Temple theme, and the blocks being the crescent moon and star.
I'm assuming that by styling Hyrule after medieval Europe, it would be natural for its neighboring state to be styled after the muslim world. It's a really cool idea, but they never tried this again after having to censor everything. A damn shame. One of the many things elevating OOT over subsequent Zeldas.
Reminds me of some of Save Data's videos analyzing the music of Ocarina of Time, where he mentions the Near-Eastern vibes in certain tracks.
tl;dr the guy brings up how Geurdo Valley's flamenco-sounding music makes sense since it's where the Gerudo Desert (Arab/desert themed) meets Hyrule (Christian Europe), mirroring how Spanish Christian music and culture were influenced by the Moors and Arabs.
Pretty neat, especially since the Gerudo just get vaguely-Arab themes in later games.
I miss the old Crescent & Star Gerudo emblem. I grew up with a 1.0 cartridge, so playing a newer version of the game with the revised symbols always feels weird.
