>wienerblocking cat not at the bottom
???
Waifu/Husbandogays get split between characters, the shitposters and mascotfrickers can all focus on the ONE option.
Same reason why Furbait can do deceptively well in these things to a point they can actually win the whole thing if shit gets split enough.
haru's boring and japs REALLY hate ryuji for some reason
Jap brainwashing ensures they‘ll hate any asian with blonde hair
She has norwood 2 at 17 years old. It's over for Haru.
There are a lot of reasons to dislike Morgana but that is not one of them.
He makes to never be around as a third wheel when you are dealing with other people.
>Futaba only 4th
persona players are homosexuals, simple as
> I am le gamer. I just leveld up 🙂
She should have been dead last alongside the reddit cat
I agree. Anyone who thinks she's not the best one is a blatant redditard.
Makoto
Wtf, where is this from? It looks like official art.
it's official art from the gacha game
Kasumi better be in more P5 games
only women do these polls and they just pick the character they recognize (they have never played the game)
i just finished p5r a few nights ago. here's my quick attempt at my own list. leaving joker out because why would i judge a blank slate character among real characters?
maruki > futaba > sumire > ryuji = haru > ann = yusuke = makoto > akechi = cat
upon further reflection trying to rank everyone was dumb
just stick to the top 4 here for accuracy
maruki > futaba > sumire > ryuji
Obviously I love myself when I am self inserting . Its only Ganker that has this issue
Beep boop
I pick Futaba and I have never played Persona
>Ryuji in 9th
>Akechi in 5th
Girls and MC are whatever, but that right there is the sign of truly garbage taste.
Ryuji sucks and the japs rightfully hate his moronic guts
Who would even vote for Ryuji?
>waifugays vote for their waifu
>fujos vote for Joker, Akechi and Yusuke
>furries and memelords vote for Morgana
>people who don't vote with their dick but vote for good characters instead certainly wouldn't vote for Ryuji
I know Ryuji's a bro but he has very little going for him. The story nonstops shits on him or hands him the idiot ball. He's just there to be a loser to make Joker look good.
Ryuji being the self-righteous voice box during boss confrontations pulls the veil back too much on the parties general mentality. If he's dumb they all are.
Why don't men like Chie anymore?
Kanjikings it's over.
>Kanji last
>Yosuke in second
Offensively bad taste.
Agrees with my taste, I really liked Yosuke and I found Kanji just a dumb annoying stereotype character.
The MC is not a character in these games. What could people possibly like about them?
It's usually women that are fully concentrating their lust for an ikemen archetype that result in the MC being first place, being able to fully hone in on the MC without competition or squabble. P4 had no other ikemen-types, while P5 only had Akechi, who was more for fujobaiting than anything.
>He's literally me
Don't you get it?
Joking aside, you're right.
They usually have the best designs
people headcanon traits
>No Zenkichi.
Japs are moronic.
>persona 5 ROYAL character poll
>posts some spinoff rando
I think the moron here is none other than yourself
I need to replay strikers, game was mad fun.
I can't fricking believe Ann, my love, lost to fricking Makoto. Ann has equally fat ass and much bigger boobs than Ratkoto.
where do you think we are anon? flat is superior. futaba/lavenza master race
nobody cares about the dumb white prostitute
Dating stuff in persona games really does things to me.
I also liked Makoto on my first playthrough, but realized on subsequent playthroughs that she fricking sucks.
The game wants her to be the smart one, but Futaba is the actually smart one with demonstratable skills, so all Makoto does is make others stupider by her mere presence so that she can state something obvious and have everyone treat her like shes smart for it.
Don't care.
Futaba has a specific set of specialties but tactics aren't one of them. Admittedly, all Makoto does is point out the obvious and it always falls on Joker to figure shit out when something unexpected occurs (which is literally all the time). In practice, broad-scale tactitions who exist to chart out overall goals and strategies like Mitsuru and Makoto don't actually contribute a lot. It always boils down to improv in the end. Even Mitsuru's only real contributions are "Let's explore Tartarus" abd "Let's defeat the Shadows".
They're all terrible except Futaba and Ryuji.
>Kamoshida missing
Anyone know what the base probability of multi-hit skills are? As far as I'm aware, stats and buffs don't factor at all. I've been Googling it for a while but I can't seem to find any hard numbers. Like what are the odds for each individual hit for skills like Tempest Slash and Myriad Arrows?
Honestly playing through P5 again and it's not that bad but I think some of the writing is just so scuffed and sloppy compared to the previous 3.
how tf is Anne so low. she's pure sex
It's probably the fact she's "used goods" in Japan's eyes due to being a victim of Kamoshida's sexual harassment, so only people who are fine with girls that are "basically already bawds" will like her.
Anne is a basic b***h only good for her sex appeal
I wish P5MC was actually a mean guy. I mean you can give mean guy answers but his design isn't really suited to be that mean guy look compared to Beta Joker.
He's a rebellious fricker so he has some edge
He says frick you to the cops and tries to break out of his Velvet Room jail cell after talking shit to fake Igor
yeah but he's also a really dorky geek in both PT and casual forms. It's only when he has the glasses off where he gets cool
Nah he's a wienery dick when talking to Ryuji and Sojiro
Ryujis one on one conversations with joker are just nice bro moments but any time he interacts with the group, all I can think of is "shut up ryuji". They take his comic relief shtick a bit too far imho
Makoto #1 after Joker? What? I don't get what people see in her. She is boring, bland, has no sense of humor, and kept trying to snitch on them at the start of the game.
I also don't get Kasumi being #3.
For me it would be
Yusuke > Futaba > Hero > Anne > Akechi
>yusuke first
now that is a hot opinion I have never seen in my life, just why?
I have an irl friend who is exactly like him. Talented artist yet very poor because he refuses to draw porn, poor enough that he can't even buy some snacks when hanging out. A radtrad so he speaks very formally and has zero notion of social etiquette. Like, he's basically 1:1 yusuke, and it's not like he based his personality off him because he doesn't even play video games.
It was a surreal experience to play Persona and see Yusuke doing his thing, made me think about a lot of struggles my friend goes through. I bought him an art kit after finishing the game and still occasionally gift him some art supplies.
>yusuke not first
puke
based on yusuke that high, absolute cringe for putting futaba 2nd
puke
She has autism not fake autism like futaba
No one in the game has autism
I do
This is a Japanese poll.
Japanese players do not consider the protagonists to be "literally me" to the same extent that American players do. When they play a game, they don't feel that they totally overwrite the protagonist or that the protagonist is purely an extension of themseves. They view the emptiness of the MC as an actual character trait, and an admirable one at that.
Ryuji is hated by Japanese players not because of all the times he nearly revealed important information by accident, but because he caused some sort of public disturbance. No, I'm not shitting you. Makoto is second place for the inverse reason, she's the most socially conscious member of the Thieves aside from the MC, and she's the most affected when she does break the social "rules". She is the model Japanese citizen, Ryuji is just some punk.
>but it's a game about rebelling!
And it ends with the moral "sit down, shut up, and don't do anything rash. just be nice and things will work out."
>Ryuji is hated by Japanese players not because of all the times he nearly revealed important information by accident, but because he caused some sort of public disturbance. No, I'm not shitting you
This is perfectly understandable though. Ryuji is noisy and anonying.
>almost get friends arrested: no reaction
>annoy a few strangers: WORST CHARACTER. FRICK YOU.
Japan is silly sometimes.
He's not "annoying strangers", he is annoying me by being a public nuisance. I get second hand embarrassment. With that said he is obviously better than Makoto
ryuji is annoying because he's loud and he's a moralgay. why is he designed like a delinquent he should have pink hair and earrings.
>She is the model Japanese citizen, Ryuji is just some punk.
I understand why P5 is such a flaccid rebellion now.
P5 is written entirely on the assumption that the only reason the Thieves' rebellion is morally acceptable is because it happens in a fantasy world almost nobody can directly interact with. The real-world stuff like opening the door in Madarame's shack is all supposed to be deeply uncomfortable sacrifice of "what's good" for "what's right", not JUST an issue of time pressure.
So what you are saying is that the japanese are wimps.
Yup, you hit the nail on the head. Rebellion but only within reason, you're only allowed to call out the truly deplorable scum of the earth (hebephiles, yakuza who exploit minors, etc.) and ONLY if you can magically cover your ass to the same level the Phantom Thieves can. Otherwise, you nod your head and respect your fricking elders.
True rebellions are extremely damaging to others. Fundamentally, the Phantom Thieves are fighting out of a sense of altruism, and aggressively attacking the government or destroying businesses would negatively impact a lot of lives.
Ultimately, the Phantom Thieves don't actually have the balls to hurt countless strangers in the pursuit of rebellion.
Yup. It's called rebellion, but in actuality it's simply listening to the authority and guidance of another elder, in this case it's the part being guided by the MC, who is heeding the "rehabilitation" offered by Igor.
Due to the Yaldabaoth twist the moral is actually to choose your elders carefully if you're able to, and if you're led astray, it's not the elder's fault for deceiving you, it's YOUR fault for being so fricking stupid in the first place, and you need to redeem yourself as quickly as possible before the consequences catch up and beat your ass into pulp.
More like if the elders are too shitty, you have the right to rebel. Ultimately, the responsibility lies in the people to correct the mistakes of their leaders. It's the core foundation of democracy, but most people forget that. Also, it doesn't actually work because most voters are moronic, as shown by P5.
Rebellions don't actually work if a sufficient number of people don't support their cause. You can overthrow the current political leaders but you can't stop the public from voting for more morons and buttholes. Or, often, the rebels themselves are no better. This is why the majority of coups either don't work out or don't make things better in the long run.
How is this the same country that did FF7 where you play as a literal terrorist?
this poll makes no sense, you'd think the japanese would love yusuke
He causes public disturbances with his weirdness and isn't able to keep up with social propriety correctly so he irritates the players in a similar fashion to Ryuji.
he does not cause public disturbances though, he only disturbs his own friends with his excessive politeness and lack of social cues
It's because Yusuke is disrespecting his elder, Madarame, even if he's completely in the right to seek justice for having his art stolen by him.
They're ENVIOUS that he can do it and get away with it thanks to the magical supernatural bullshit that is the metaverse and how change of heart confessions work, whereas the people of the real world have to face true consequence for such actions.
He doesn't disrespect his teacher though? He defends him until the phantom thieves basically stronghand him into rebelling.
1. CHADgana, my hero.
2. CHADkichi, my hero.
3. CHADyuji, my hero.
4. Sophie is pretty cute.
5/6. Futaba I guess.
5/6. Haru I guess.
7. Yusuke is... a character.
8/9. Ann's pretty boring and annoying.
8/9. Makoto's even more boring but not as annoying.
10. MC is cringe.
I've only played Strikers.
GOD I HATE MAKOTO
>truly forgotten
Feels bad man.
playing through p5r for the first time and i kinda hate p5 but the new content of p5r along with maruki and kasumi are making the playthrough fun. all of the original content is hard to get through. i'm enjoying it more the second time around but it's soooo long i want to get to the new semester.
The poll looks like it's party members only, I'm sure he's fondly remembered.
I wonder if there's the same epidemic of people who think he was 100% in the right and deserved to win in Japan.
Japam's pretty collectivist, but not THAT collectivist. It's the same logic behind why Lelouch's parents were "wrong" in Code Geass. Ultimately, completely destroying humanity's agency is seen as going too far. P5R isn't the first game to tackle this idea. It's sort of the fundamental ideology behind Law as a whole.
Then why is it that in LESS collectivist countries, Maruki's support INCREASES? If it's not common to defend him in Japan, why here? Is it just that people are imagining what their perfect life would be, and not thinking about how horrific it would be to become a prop in someone else's perfect life because they literally cannot think of anyone but themselves?
Individualist countries long for more community and the inverse for collectivist societies.
The irony of modern western social views is that while ostensibly, they champion individuality and freedom, it's only insofar as your views align with theirs. Only people who agree with their views deserve freedom.
Maruki's ideal world is seemingly one without injustice or inequality, which is what most people want. Hardcore vocal social commentators (but not ALL of them, I want to make that clear) see Maruki's world as one where their ideal society is made manifest.
Either which way, Maruki's world is the same as Yaldabaoth's, just with a nicer-sounding idea to start rather than starting immediately at the natural conclusion.
Rather than "give up your thoughts and agency to find a lazy peace with no fear of conflict any longer", it's instead phrased as "give up your worries and allow me to find you your happiest reality".
But in the end, both have the same outcome. Agency is totally lost because agency causes strife, and the individuals will one way or another be mentally rewritten so thoroughly as to ensure still content can be found that they no longer resemble their original selves, all in the sake of maintaining the peaceful status quo.
There's probably a few based people but alas, most people think that he was wrong which he is BUT only because his methods SUCKED ASS...
Can you really separate the means from the ends, in this case? Human desires are not all compatible. At some point, in order for you to gain what you want, someone else must lose out on what they want. So even if he had better methods, it would come down to the same issue: He is pretending he can be the final arbiter of whose desires are acceptable and whose are to be overwritten to make them happen.
Shouldn't people be allowed to grasp their desires by their own hand?
>He is pretending he can be the final arbiter of whose desires are acceptable and whose are to be overwritten to make them happen.
Which is why you put everyone with conflicting desires into seperate worlds.
If Bob wants only blue chairs and Rob wants only red chairs Bob gets a universe where "Rob" is a meatrobot and Rob gets a universe where "Bob" is a meatrobot. Everyone can get their desires realized. The ones that can stay in each other's universes can stay. Or just use his fricking DEMIURGE MAGIC to create logical fallacies for everyone so it works.
Duh, they're the PHANTOM THIEVES.
Of course they're pussies without real rebellions.
I just wish the PT either went pure edgy or more understanding. I don't really like how for every villain they face they're like "FRICK YOU YOU'RE SCUM". Even the IT understood how Adachi and Mitsuo were but PT was like "FRICKKKK YOU GO TO JAIL b***h >:("
But Joker is not me.
Makoto just doesn't fit with the group
they are suppose to be autist outcast losers then there is just ''honor student''
even Kasumi and Akechi kind of work because they put on a persona to hide who they really are
It's for the sake of balance. It's the sane idea behind Fuuka in P3.
Why do the japanese fans consistently have the worst taste in polls like this?
Really seems like they have no souls sometimes
