>work as a software developer >Zachtronics games just feel like unpaid labor
Opus Magnum with friends is great when you're all trying to one-up each other, but that's better for the short puzzles in Act 1. After that it's hard to want to go back and unroll a loop that runs fifty times just so you can save a couple instructions, maybe it'd be different if it had function/method support
I don't mind labor games if it's unrelated fields like Shipbreaker or those renovation games, but I'm not sure I'd call shmups or fighting games unpaid labor.
>he doesn't hang out with other INTJs >he doesn't get to discuss things only INTJs can understand Supposedly it's one of the rarer Myers-Briggs but I swear I know at least a dozen of them
Shut up Black person, My job is developing compilers and about a thousand things more complicated than whatever the frick you're doing and I love Zachtronics games. Stop trying to sell this, "It's just work" angle; you're just looking for an excuse for why you gave up on a puzzle game.
I agree 100% and i love puzzle >your reward for solving puzzles is more puzzles
It is for the kind of people that like to stare at spreadsheets for a living
I have a 145 from Mensa (down from my peak 154 tested by them in 3rd grade because of age and alcohol) and I'm still moronic.
Mensa is a fricking scam org that exists purely to charge families hundreds of dollars in membership fees to send their "gifted" children crossword puzzles and engage in mental masturbation.
Mensa stopped giving standardized IQ tests with verbal, logical, mathematical, and spatial assessments and moved entirely to those idiotic shape-pattern assessments which ONLY test for pattern recognition because the head of the org prefers those because they score the highest on them.
If that's not the definition of a biased scam I don't know what is.
Wrong.
Pattern recognition is only part of the whole equation. If you believe otherwise you've fallen for the propaganda and are a midwit at best. You need memory capacity and callback ability, contextual associative capability, and logical capacity to actually apply that pattern recognition.
There's a VERY good reason that the 4 block tests are universal in every country and every organization besides mensa.
wtf is even the point of IQ? success is all about hard work, social skills, AND competence.. without those three you're fricked, and I would much rather have the first two than the latter..
110-115 master race. Smart enough to have moderate success socially and financially without too much effort. While you genius autists are too moronic to get a steady job and get affection from a woman.
It ironically takes more training than a standard test. You have to look for 3 sequence patterns, find the most common spatial sequence, and then apply it relative to the ? square.
This is all they account for. 3 step pattern recognition, usually in left->right top->bottom flow.
They're 100% tailored specifically to appeal to the mensa exec since that's what they're best at.
There is actually a very easy correlation with the black dots but the white dots absolutely loses it for me. If the black dots go by anything, it should be E.
If the white dots should considered then consider me clueless.
My issue with this one was that I didn't even consider rotation an option.
Now I know it is and will have less trouble in the future.
IQ tests are kinda bs because you can simply practice them to get a higher score.
Yeah, if you can study for an IQ test what is it really doing?
Can call it cope as I would do poorly myself, but I really don't understand the obsession some people have with it
There's far better qualities to flaunt
It's A. Black dots follow a pattern diagonally. White dots rotate counter clockwise in each column; there are 2 white dots in every tile. When white dot overlaps black dot, only black dot is visible.
The placement fricks me but it seems like per row, there's always two squares with one black dot and one with two, and for white squares the white goes through each variance of left of white line, split, and right of it. A is the only one with a white dot exclusively on the left which is what that row is missing.
[...]
F. Lines add to each other and disappear when they overlap. Dots only appear in the third square when they overlap.
D.
There's a whole shape you need to take into account.
Add left + middle columns, and what is missing would be on the right.
If you use D plus the double crosses, the only thing missing are the top and bottom edges to complete the shape.
>No shape is repeated, or repeated but flipped vertically, elsewhere in the grid
So we can rule out A, C, and D. >There are more arrows facing down than arrows facing up, but only by 1
I'm leaning toward F just because it would "even out" all the squares by this metric.
D.
There's a whole shape you need to take into account.
Add left + middle columns, and what is missing would be on the right.
If you use D plus the double crosses, the only thing missing are the top and bottom edges to complete the shape.

Did you not see my reasoning? Nowhere else in the grid is a shape repeated in the same orientation or a flipped one. D is the same shape as in the first row second column grid space.

Please point out where my reasoning is wrong, you're making a guess but I'm confident I pintpointed the answer and explained why.
Orientation is not relevant, you're simply adding and substracting the shapes.

>Orientation is not relevant, you're simply adding and substracting the shapes.
Your answer relies on logic working right to left, which feels ridiculously out of place for a logic test designed in the west with the solution on the right. Sure, some questions would probably be designed to fake you out, but what are the odds this would be one? You separating things into rows and columns rather than counting each shape as its own thing and the grid as one whole is just as arbitrary as left-to-right.

As long as it adds up.
Furthermore, D is the only one that has no bottom or top edges, all other options have one or both.
So it feels intentional, even if its kinda bs.
The placement fricks me but it seems like per row, there's always two squares with one black dot and one with two, and for white squares the white goes through each variance of left of white line, split, and right of it. A is the only one with a white dot exclusively on the left which is what that row is missing.
>video game puzzle heavily favors players with knowledge of basic electronics
F. Lines add to each other and disappear when they overlap. Dots only appear in the third square when they overlap.
It's A, right? >positions of white dots aren't repeated across rows; can eliminate all but A and F >white dots don't reappear where they were previously neither descending nor horizontally; can eliminate F, has to be A
>black dots maintain position diagonally (bottom left to top right, wrapping) >white dots seem move CCW one position when going top to bottom, there's always two but the black dot takes priority
First one rules out E and F, second one seems to make it A?

You aren't though. You're just playing out the standard severe isolation of the condition. You will pick up something random and min max it to death before the 20-40 hour dopamine cut off. If you're lucky you will find something else while you're playing or fall back into months without playing anything and doom scrolling.

Wrong.
