Rule of thumb is if you can't play it today, don't bother getting it. What's the worst that can happen? That this stuff will go back on sale a few months later? Because it will. Some of this stuff has been on and off sale for over a decade, you're not going to forever miss out on your chance to get these titles for cheap. Ignoring the quality of Ubisoft titles, there's barely any time a goddamn Ubisoft title ISN'T on sale. Just play what you want at the time, there's a 70% chance whatever you want next will be on sale when you come to it anyway.

Dark Souls being a controversial pick isn't an issue because I remember how poorly received Demon Souls was. To me they are comparable. Both games were mid but worth playing for certain gameplay features.
