I unironically used to look up to and respect Nagoshi quite a bit. He really was one of the game developers I respected the most.
He made quirky and silly games of various scope, and stuck to fun ideas because they were fun.
He was a nerd that really embodied the creative spirit of nerds. And did so regardless of whether or not people thought him or his games were silly.
But then he started to shittalk his nerd past, his nerd creations, and his nerd fans.
Fricking hell he is pathetic. He used to be cool. What the frick.
No offense anon, but this guy started to hang out with JAV actresses and actual fricking gangsters after Yakuza. You think he's gonna care about some disgusting Chigyu not liking him?
if you can't or won't play the 2005 original Y1, then Zero all the way. The "Kiwami" remakes are not very good, and they're treated more as a "DLC" to Yakuza 0 than faithful recreations of the PS2 titles.
Y0 really is the peak of the franchise, and THE game you need to play if you would only play one title.
Afterwards, the chronological order works just fine. Just look up some OST restoration and de-censorship mods for the other games, and maybe use the Kiwami Redux for K1 to reduce the RNG -based grindan. K2 also greatly benefits of using the Rush-combo Recoil Removal mod.
>K2 also greatly benefits of using the Rush-combo Recoil Removal mod.
No. Bounce block removal in the Dragon Engine games breaks combat, they're not meant to have it happen. npcs will act like they've blocked you and leave themselves open giving you free hits you didn't earn or should have and allowing basic mooks to die to mashing square forever. It also lets you stunlock bosses which you're not supposed to be able to do at all.
Don't touch those mods for K2 or 6, no idea if Judgment has one but if it does it would suffer from the exact same issues.
>Bounce block removal in the Dragon Engine games breaks combat,
You mean makes it more tolerable, reducing the absolutely anal D.E. jank?
Kiwashit 2's gameplay is some of the worst crap I've put up with. I was honestly glad to return to the "oldschool" gameplay with Y3 afterwards.
>You mean makes it more tolerable, reducing the absolutely anal D.E. jank?
No, I mean it completely breaks combat. There is zero reason not to just mash square because no boss can deal with it unless they have super armor during an attack, that's literally the only way they can counter anything you do if you remove it. Like I said, it gives you free hits you don't deserve because they will try to hit you when you get "blocked" and leave themselves open to getting hit.
This suggests that his departure from Sega was not on good terms.
Besides the whole chigyu thing he also catastrophically fricked up Sakura Wars revival and was insistent that Sega should remain exclusive to Playstation. A falling out was inevitable.
because he's a fricking traitor and works for the Chinese now. guarantee he's giving all the secrets of RGG, Dragon engine, and more over so the chinks can create an anime waifu gatcha version of Yakuza for mobile phones.
>Ichiban's true party, not the liars that are in 7.
Qrd? Haven't gotten that far in the story, but I know that Nanban betrays you, how does the rest of the party lie to Ichiban
I'm joking around, the Online party members were the first ones out there whereas 7 came later so Online's are the original party members. Online and 7 are two different universes. Outside of Ichiban joining the Arakawa family there's nothing in Online's story that's remotely the same as 7 and in Online it's about them retaking Kamurocho from the Omi Alliance and a bunch of gangs within it. The final boss of Online is even Sawashiro. You can compare his final boss card from Online on the left to his boss appearance in 7 on the right.
He left a position of leadership to work for a chinese company on something that's going to be another crime drama action game and took multiple staff members with him.
They probably don't like him and consider that offensive enough to no longer credit him on new versions. Not like he'll be making new Yakuza games anyway, gets him dissociated from current releases.
Because he is a corrupt piece of shit that got caught red handed and got demoted so hard he fled to China and is stuck making chink pigslop mobile trash.
He should be glad he didn't end up in a drum in Tokyo bay.
Females are attracted to all male cast while males to all female cast. In japan mostly, it also when mc is a teenager most men prefer younger protagonist that's why you have teenagers in most FF, DQ, Persona, etc.
The creator getting removed off his own creation. If it wasn't for him the series wouldn't even exist since he was the one who convinced Sony when neither Microsoft nor Nintendo wanted the IP on their system for some reason.
Chigyubros, we won....
Brehs? How come Chigyu didn’t take off the way Chud did?
Japs seem like really pathetic spiteful people in a lot of ways.
homie looks like he eats Chigyu
The consequences of taking bribes from Sony
>He left?
DELETE HIM
Damn Aika is looking rough.
Why a dork started dressing like that? He looks weird like having a big ass head with a tiny body that bothers me
Eh that’s just a studio gangster being a studio gangster.
what no monkeyball does to a mf
Why did he go full gyaru mode?
They took his monkey balls.
>3rd pic
I have those Monkey Ball toys.
what the frick happened
went from monkey ball dev to yakuza dev
He started larping as a yakuza
people say he got plastic surgery but this is just what happens to your body when you become truly enlightened
he smoked highly illegal weed

>goes full gal-o in the third pic
>never recovers
He looks like he rapes JKs and they become his slave.
His vanity carried Yakuza.
he said that his gf dresses him up
Wonder if Konami will do the same thing to Kojima with the MGS collection
Do i start with 1 or 0?
0, it's set in the 80's
if you can't or won't play the 2005 original Y1, then Zero all the way. The "Kiwami" remakes are not very good, and they're treated more as a "DLC" to Yakuza 0 than faithful recreations of the PS2 titles.

>janky and unfun design is better than a bit more forgiving jank that's fun
t. (You).
why do morons play anything besides release order? do morons bleive devs time travel or something?
0 then k1->k2->3 or
then 2 ps2->3 ps3
you will get burnout though
Petty
Reminder that even Konami credited "ALL MGSV STAFF" in Survive.
Is Yong going to to throw a tantrum like he did with Kojima, or ignore it now that he works on Yakuza himself?
Eh, he probably did all that shit for attention more than any moral reason. He'll get more attention as a dub actor than an impotent screecher.

>gatcha version of Yakuza for mobile phones.
That already exists and is an official Sega product.
It sounds like another Yakuza style game, I'm guessing he got creative freedom as part of the deal
>can create an anime waifu gatcha version of Yakuza for mobile phones.
That already exists and has Ichiban's true party, not the liars that are in 7.

The chigyus won

classic sega move
How can such discrepancy be explained?
Japanese men are moronic.
Females are attracted to all male cast while males to all female cast. In japan mostly, it also when mc is a teenager most men prefer younger protagonist that's why you have teenagers in most FF, DQ, Persona, etc.
The Japanese are trooning out.
>reads the word female
>thinks of trannies
buck broken
ok troon
All he had to do was not call people cheese eaters
The creator getting removed off his own creation. If it wasn't for him the series wouldn't even exist since he was the one who convinced Sony when neither Microsoft nor Nintendo wanted the IP on their system for some reason.
Y2 and 0 are the only good games in the entire series.
