I love the game, I'd defend goofy shit like hildy, the EW relic grind, dungeon design, even alliance raid difficulty. But I'd never defend lgbt shit.
I've heard a lot of the voices after ARR and I agree that most of the main cast is good but ARR was dogshit in English and now they're adding trannies.
I agree in ARR all but Ayermeric, Haunchefant and Merlyweb were pretty mediocre. When I first started playing the game I didn't think much of it, but it's really jarring going back and listening to it after I'm so used to hearing their voices which have stayed the same since Heavensward.
There are some characters in this game that only work for me in English like Emet Selch or Ardbert, I can't imagine hearing them in any other language same with Urianger.

Anon, it doesn't matter we already knew they were ripping off FF story telling when they announced an overarching three act story. The difference between WoW and FF14, even if WoW rips off Endwalkers plot points which appears to be the case, WoW has not earned the story payoff of Endwalker, it took 10 years to get there for FF14 it took years for people to get invested in the characters, the setting the story.
The problem with WoW even if they somehow don't frick it up they haven't earned it.
Capeshit analogy but Metzen is a capeshit fan so it's apt, DC and Marvel, DC wanted their Avenger movie moment with the Justice League movie but they didn't earn which is why it failed. Think of the first Avengers movie it took 2 iron man movies, 3 thor movies, captain America movie and a bunch of other media before the very first avenger movie so they built up the characters, the settings, people were able to get invested and the pay off was it all coming together with the Avengers movie.
Same concept with EW which is why it worked and why the WoW overarching story won't. EW had Shadowbringers, Stormblood Heavensward and ARR of build up, 10 years to get invested. Think of that, do you think WoW can stay the course for 10 years for the pay off?

The only thing new about dynamis was that said that it's not aether itself which responds to emotions, but that there's another intermediate energy that shapes the aether according to the emotions put into it.

No, that wasn't the case. It was always known that faith bends aether on its own. The first magic spells were prayers which started to create magical effects during the Calamity of Lightning, which is why magic uses incantations, and why Eorzean schools of magic are taught in churches. The first lorebook also draws a connection between Garlean atheism and their inability to use magic.

I think in a lot of ways the devs are to blame for that, although maybe it's a chicken and egg scenario. Content in this game either caters to Second Life ERPers doing the bare minimum to unlock a bawdglam or hardcore savage raiders who expect you to put in 20 hours a week unless you want to get kicked out of the static. There's no "normal people who want a bit of a challenge" content outside of maybe extremes.

WoW raids are just the final two bosses, the rest are loot pinatas, praying your shitters don't have to do any mechanics, and the good players don't get poached or leave for better groups.
Dungeons are the easiest, most casual part of this entire game. If you want a challenge you have to get into raiding, which is locked behind those boring ass dungeons.

Nah, that just tires her out very quickly. She's basically constantly burning mana 24/7 to cast that spell. That can potentially lead to problems if she empties her mana and then tries to cast spells anyway, because then it will take from her corporeal aether (the problem Sylphie had in the CNJ quests), but the spell itself won't kill her.
WoW follows a very similar cycle to XIV, except it goes x.1, x.2, x.3
x.1 is usually just a new raid tier
x.2 is a raid tier, a megadungeon, and a new zone
x.3 is a raid tier, another new zone, and splitting the megadungeon to add it to the queue pool
if XIV didn't place so much emphasis on housing and crafting they would probably be nearly identical

I've had the same character for 6 years and I think the update makes him look great. Most of the people I've saw throwing a shit fit are miqote and Viera players. I always avoid those type of people in game and this drama homosexualry is just saying to me I made the right decision.

It's not a mod, the body textures in the benchmark are unfinished so there's an obvious seam. The hair is ported in through .dat copypasting so it's not exactly a mod, but that hairstyle is not present in the benchmark naturally which is why it's not fit properly to the new head.

A lot of sprouts on my server, the NN is always full now. Gridania is also really congested on my server. I'm guessing it's more people are getting into the game because of the news around DT, they don't want to miss our or are jumping in now to try it out I dunno?

I play xiv and wow without interacting with their respective communities at all, when I run out of things to do or I get bored of either one I unsub and play other games.
Ok, I think wow fricking sucks because the story makes zero fricking sense for a new player, you are simply thrown into a random quests in exile reach and when you do some random shit you are somehow a champion of the alliance and get to stand with heroes, be sent on a mission that is pretty important and all that shit that happens in BfA that I haven't finished, they should honestly invest on making a better new player introduction, not every new player is a random dude that got his alt banned and just want to get to end game as soon as possible, there are people that want to actually enjoy something on their way to end game.
On the other hand XIV does a great job by creating a story that even if it has its low points its pretty entertaining, new players are guided to it and its pretty much the best and only way to level up, and in case you REALLY want to experience the end game you can just buy a skip. I would say that Blizzard should heavily invest on making a new player experience that takes them trough a great adventure from lvl 1 to the latest expansion that takes about 100 hours and it has a great story that finishes off at the latest expansion and sets up for it, it would make a great new player experience.

The difference between WoW and FF14, even if WoW rips off Endwalkers plot points which appears to be the case, WoW has not earned the story payoff of Endwalker, it took 10 years to get there for FF14 it took years for people to get invested in the characters, the setting the story.

I think in a lot of ways the devs are to blame for that, although maybe it's a chicken and egg scenario. Content in this game either caters to Second Life ERPers doing the bare minimum to unlock a bawdglam or hardcore savage raiders who expect you to put in 20 hours a week unless you want to get kicked out of the static. There's no "normal people who want a bit of a challenge" content outside of maybe extremes.

You can get any hairstyle in the benchmark by copypasting your .dat from the live game. But that's why it's sinking into his head, because the hairstyle hasn't been updated and he forced it in.
At least the Y'shtola hair "works", but it looks unfinished plain and simple. Some of the hairs look alright updated and others look like they seriously need more work.

It's not a mod, the body textures in the benchmark are unfinished so there's an obvious seam. The hair is ported in through .dat copypasting so it's not exactly a mod, but that hairstyle is not present in the benchmark naturally which is why it's not fit properly to the new head.

It's unlikely that your Gridania is more packed than your Limsa
A lot of sprouts on my server, the NN is always full now. Gridania is also really congested on my server. I'm guessing it's more people are getting into the game because of the news around DT, they don't want to miss our or are jumping in now to try it out I dunno?

I play xiv and wow without interacting with their respective communities at all, when I run out of things to do or I get bored of either one I unsub and play other games.

Ok, I think wow fricking sucks because the story makes zero fricking sense for a new player, you are simply thrown into a random quests in exile reach and when you do some random shit you are somehow a champion of the alliance and get to stand with heroes, be sent on a mission that is pretty important and all that shit that happens in BfA that I haven't finished, they should honestly invest on making a better new player introduction, not every new player is a random dude that got his alt banned and just want to get to end game as soon as possible, there are people that want to actually enjoy something on their way to end game.
On the other hand XIV does a great job by creating a story that even if it has its low points its pretty entertaining, new players are guided to it and its pretty much the best and only way to level up, and in case you REALLY want to experience the end game you can just buy a skip. I would say that Blizzard should heavily invest on making a new player experience that takes them trough a great adventure from lvl 1 to the latest expansion that takes about 100 hours and it has a great story that finishes off at the latest expansion and sets up for it, it would make a great new player experience.
