The community, in response has gotten MUCH WORSE. There are just so many matches where one survivor will give up or DC immediately after getting caught once and the game becomes unwinnable for survivors. I think people are throwing on purpose so they can get their crutches like Dead Hard back

People act like the game was not bleeding players like a hemophiliac in a broken glass factory. From July 2021 until like May 2022, the game lost players fricking every month. It lost half its playerbase in a year. People already left en masse. This shit was an attempt to stop the bleeding.
it's what happens when they put all their focus on making new characters, perks, events and map. The game is in need of an overhaul. The graphics are become pretty outdated. There's still only one objective. The graphics engine is very limited. While I appreciate them going over some meta perks, there's still a lot of perks that are useless or way too situational. And there's also map balancing and redesign that needs to be looked over.

Vecna is confirmed, the survivors are still unknown because they won't drop until late this year. RE should be start of Sept. There's an OC character (a Knight) and then Stranger Things is expected after that. So it could be Eddie and Robin. It could be Joyce and Hopper. It won't be any of the core kids because all characters in DbD are legally 18. Even Quinton is aged up to DbD in his Lore (it's post remake Freddy so he fell back on his old ways)

They did change the meta, though. The changes in the real build are not the same as in the PTB but the meta IS different now.

Game was fun years ago but it's become too mainstream. I have friends now that play it a lot that refused to buy the game back in the day and now they could tell you everything about the game.
It feels like 99% of the people that play this game can't just play it and have fun, they have to find something to complain about. Killers think survivors are too strong. Survivors think killers are too strong. Killers think survivors gen rush (the point of the fricking game is to do gens and escape) while survivors get upset if killers are too aggressive or tunnel (it's not tunneling if you're so bad at the game that you can't hide) Killers job is to kill people, if you keep yourself out in the open and none of your teammates try to intervene you're going to be chased. There are just so many unwritten gay rules about this game that it's made it not fun. I just want to play as Myers, stalk someone from a distance and then frick them up, but you can't even do that anymore because you'll get called a camper or yelled at for using an OP character.

Obviously you fricking stab them to down them, but if you want to gut them to finish them off you need to have Judith's Tombstone or a Tombstone Piece you can't just do it by default and sometimes those pieces take awhile to get because they aren't available in every web to purchase so yes at times it takes hours to perform, especially if you're new.
Myers can just instantly kill people sans Mori once he's at his highest level of terror. As can Pyramid Head via his own mechanic. You haventp layer the game.

Being better than dbd is not very hard at all, that being said Evil Dead is good. The only problem I have with it is that matches are get repetitive with how few ways there are to interact with the objectives. Hopefully the game will feel more varied when more demons are added

Myers and Pyramid Head can defy the Entity since they aren't physical beings and are arguably stronger than the Entity
The Entity eats multiverses like potato chips. Nothing in the game is stronger than it, not even Pinhead. Myers, Pyramid Head, and Pinhead are allowed to do as they please because survivors always return to the campfire at the end of the Trials. They even changed "The Entity is displeased" line to reflect the idea that it's less 'mad' that they failed or they didn't appease it properly, and more that the Trial in question didn't feed it enough.
There's also stuff from the Tomes stating that there are infinite variations of each character across the omniverse, so even if the Entity loses access to one Dwight, it can always snack on as many others as it wishes.

There's several perks and powers that override what it wants. It's excessively powerful, but not omnipotent. Myers is a good example of not giving a single shit about what the Entity wants, and just murders people whenever he wants, instead of sacrificing them. Heather/Cheryl's perk implies that she can manipulate the entity into doing what she wants because she herself is the reincarnation of a "god".
Idk why they nerfed harder it from 1 second to .5 seconds. Accounting for lag, server tick rates and shit hit reg, its more like a .2 second window.
Because BVHR is moronic. They nerfed it to .5 because people were stacking it with out Endurance perks like MoM and OtR, leading to players taking 2-3 additional hits to go down. They then nerfed that, so that Endurance doesn't work when you're already bleed, but didn't re-buff DH, largely because Survivors just need some of their training wheels removed, but it's still shit balancing.

But the actual 'worst' community as in lowest average skill level is Deep Rock Galactic and it's not even fricking close. The vast majority of players you play with at any difficulty level or game playtime are horrendously bad both at the game's base mechanics and at their role's intended duties.
I don't know another community where there are sides that hate each other's guts and one side is almost exclusively the problem: the survivors. Also I don't know another community where a player is reported to a government for tax evasion because they beat someone in a match (Otzdarva was reported to the spanish government by some survivors).

I never liked these asymmetrical types of pvp. Youll never find a balance that anyone is happy with and the gameplay itself just seems so subpar overall. I watched a friend play it over at his house once and it just bored the shit out of me.
asymmetrical PVP requires two opposing smaller groups to be successful. 1-4-1 is probably the best way to do it, but building gameplay around the concept is a sisyphean task as far as the videogame industry is concerned

i have fun playing oni and demogorgon and i play pretty chill and have good games often, but both sides have the resources to make games extremely miserable for the other team, and most of the players that get bullied will take out their rage on the next match, and there is a shitload of tribalism in this game, which just makes a majority of the playerbase insufferable. i still enjoy demo and oni though, and the killer buffs were appreciated.
Is hard to say, since the last update it seems there're less survivors, I suppose people liked to bully the killer. So with the new update is hard to be a survivor(especially a solo player) with nerfed perk and longer objectives.
I got it from a Humble Bundle, but a bought 15 dollars of dlc, so I say go for it, playing as a killer is fun and "dabbing" on killers is great.
And If you like resident evil , someone leaked the dlc and they will be Rebecca Chambers, Ada Wong as survivors and Wesker as a killer.

At the moment I have frick all for perks since I started playing him after the prestige and bloodpoint tree rework, but for now I run Trail of Torment, Eruption, Hysteria and Discordance. Hysteria is just fun to use and honestly all of Nemesis' perks are pretty good.

Too many killers compared to survivors, if you queue up as survivor you'll get in in seconds. They implemented an incentives feature this patch with double points for playing the less populated side but it was broken and they disabled it
Queues have been fricked since they did Crossplay integration. I ended up dropping the game entirely since I was sick of spending twenty minutes in queue for a ten minute at most match

There's still only one objective. The graphics engine is very limited. While I appreciate them going over some meta perks, there's still a lot of perks that are useless or way too situational. And there's also map balancing and redesign that needs to be looked over.

I've never played this game and see it on gamepass constantly. What do you do in this game. To my understanding theres 1 killer vs other players. That's all I know. Is it worth playing whatsoever?

Being better than dbd is not very hard at all, that being said Evil Dead is good. The only problem I have with it is that matches are get repetitive with how few ways there are to interact with the objectives. Hopefully the game will feel more varied when more demons are added
Evil Dead is significantly better, but that's just because it's a good game. Being better than DBD requires little more than actually caring about the game you're making.
The Entity eats multiverses like potato chips. Nothing in the game is stronger than it, not even Pinhead. Myers, Pyramid Head, and Pinhead are allowed to do as they please because survivors always return to the campfire at the end of the Trials. They even changed "The Entity is displeased" line to reflect the idea that it's less 'mad' that they failed or they didn't appease it properly, and more that the Trial in question didn't feed it enough.
There's also stuff from the Tomes stating that there are infinite variations of each character across the omniverse, so even if the Entity loses access to one Dwight, it can always snack on as many others as it wishes.
The Entity is punished by Pyramid Head since it cannot be killed and denies it sacrifices.

Wrong. Pyramid Head willfully entered the Realms and the Trials because the Entity promised it people to punish. Its just doing the same work it did under Samael, but with a different employer.

Wrong. Myers is not a threat to multiverses and for all the evil of the Shape, it is a localized threat. Even the Thorn cult is a very localized threat.

The Upside Down and Mindflayer have zero resemblance to the Entity. And without their connection to the Flayer/Vecna, Demogorgons are just mindless animals.

There's several perks and powers that override what it wants. It's excessively powerful, but not omnipotent. Myers is a good example of not giving a single shit about what the Entity wants, and just murders people whenever he wants, instead of sacrificing them. Heather/Cheryl's perk implies that she can manipulate the entity into doing what she wants because she herself is the reincarnation of a "god".
Because BVHR is moronic. They nerfed it to .5 because people were stacking it with out Endurance perks like MoM and OtR, leading to players taking 2-3 additional hits to go down. They then nerfed that, so that Endurance doesn't work when you're already bleed, but didn't re-buff DH, largely because Survivors just need some of their training wheels removed, but it's still shit balancing.

But the actual 'worst' community as in lowest average skill level is Deep Rock Galactic and it's not even fricking close. The vast majority of players you play with at any difficulty level or game playtime are horrendously bad both at the game's base mechanics and at their role's intended duties.
I don't know another community where there are sides that hate each other's guts and one side is almost exclusively the problem: the survivors. Also I don't know another community where a player is reported to a government for tax evasion because they beat someone in a match (Otzdarva was reported to the spanish government by some survivors).

I never liked these asymmetrical types of pvp. Youll never find a balance that anyone is happy with and the gameplay itself just seems so subpar overall. I watched a friend play it over at his house once and it just bored the shit out of me.

asymmetrical PVP requires two opposing smaller groups to be successful. 1-4-1 is probably the best way to do it, but building gameplay around the concept is a sisyphean task as far as the videogame industry is concerned

i have fun playing oni and demogorgon and i play pretty chill and have good games often, but both sides have the resources to make games extremely miserable for the other team, and most of the players that get bullied will take out their rage on the next match, and there is a shitload of tribalism in this game, which just makes a majority of the playerbase insufferable. i still enjoy demo and oni though, and the killer buffs were appreciated.

Is hard to say, since the last update it seems there're less survivors, I suppose people liked to bully the killer. So with the new update is hard to be a survivor(especially a solo player) with nerfed perk and longer objectives.
I got it from a Humble Bundle, but a bought 15 dollars of dlc, so I say go for it, playing as a killer is fun and "dabbing" on killers is great.
And If you like resident evil , someone leaked the dlc and they will be Rebecca Chambers, Ada Wong as survivors and Wesker as a killer.

At the moment I have frick all for perks since I started playing him after the prestige and bloodpoint tree rework, but for now I run Trail of Torment, Eruption, Hysteria and Discordance. Hysteria is just fun to use and honestly all of Nemesis' perks are pretty good.

Too many killers compared to survivors, if you queue up as survivor you'll get in in seconds. They implemented an incentives feature this patch with double points for playing the less populated side but it was broken and they disabled it
Queues have been fricked since they did Crossplay integration. I ended up dropping the game entirely since I was sick of spending twenty minutes in queue for a ten minute at most match
