isekai frontline
nekopara
>if you can't name a VN you're an NPC
what an odd condition
PONG
Give me a challenge next time OP
>survival
nice bait
if pong is survival then you can say every game where you lose is survival
there is no platforming in pong. calling the paddle a platform is moronic
calling every video game a simulation is innacurate and dishonest
how the frick are these paddles? these are literal platforms
both platformer and survival
see
OP here. (sports) sim. get owned also you now have eczema.

Baldur's Gate 3
GodHand
and don't even say it's a sports sim, it is not.
I miss the fantasy sports genre so fricking much. We could've had NBA Streets vol 4 with good netplay.
Same. I put so much time into the Midway and Street games.
I miss the fantasy sports genre too, as much as I miss action arcade racers like Burnout 3: Takedown. My dream is to play a game that literally is as faithful to Burnout 3 as BallisticNG is to Wipeout and has every feature BallisticNG has from VR to mod support to a native linux port to play on my steam deck.
black souls
Katamari Damacy
(no it's not open world, it's level based, you filthy non-roller)
It's pretty funny how the very common attribute of "RPG" is missing from your list, my Black person.
>online only
>platform
Runbow
You don't play video games.
>name a game that’s not a game
Nights into dreams
Or any on-rail shooter like Starfox
>-(x) sim
Since walking sims aren't real "sims", the entire genre usually cannot be described by any of these. Some of them will include things like puzzles or platforming but more pure ones like The Stanley Parable are just walk around, look at stuff and probably listen to narration. There is interaction but none of it can really be described in one of these categories and it's not purely sandbox either.
VNs often don't have any of this stuff either but they straddle the line of "interactive book vs video game" more than walking sims do.
Clicker games also don't really fit any of those categories but it is again debatable whether or not those are even games.
Not sure where Monster Hunter fits on these categories either, I can't really neatly put it in any of them.
Depending on how on rails a JRPG-style game is it may or may not fit into 'open world'. Something like pokemon is pretty open but stuff like older Final Fantasy games not so much.
There's probably others, I know I thought of something a minute ago but now I can't remember.
Visual novels, like the Ace Attorney games.
