I have never played a Final Fantasy game and despite seeing thousands of screenshots, reviews, articles, fan art, etc. over the past two decades, I still have no fricking idea what these games are all about. One game is typical turn based Japslop set in medieval fantasy witht that little hat Black person you can't see, the next game is real time fighting monsters in your muscle car.
Think of FF as an anthology of independent games set in completely different words and only loosely connected by some shared thematic elements.
