How so? Do you think there are no non-narrative driven games out there that you can play? Or you think there mere existence is a problem, and they shouldn't exists in order to 100% cater to you (in which case frick you)?
of course their existence is a problem, moron
Why
Then why do they sell so well?
It's not rocket science, everyone just buys whatever comes out that's pitched to them in advertisements and commercials.
are you raising your black wife's three black sons from a previous relationship? I see that a lot in commercials.
*slaps you*
your response, cuck?
Are you angry and violent because you saw it in a commercial?
after starfield, fallout 76, and fallout 4, is anyone with a brain looking forward to tes6?
>i'm an angry contrarian virgin who can't understand why nobody hates everything as much as I do
Nope. I give up. I used to hyped for starfield because starfield will give you a slight hint about how modern bethesda will treat their future projects including elder scrolls 6, but once I saw that tyrone starfield leaks video, I knew that this wont go well.
Everyone who works in original TES game have left the studio, Emil hasn't been fired yet and instead got 'promoted' to lead design in starfield (you can see how his 'work' messing up everything in that game), and they outsourced everything to pajeet, the last one is embarrasing.
I give up for bethesda, I'm a diehard TES fan but its over for me. I'm no longer looking to TES 6 anymore its so over.
same. its lookin grim
It is literally just the controllers that suck ass (and the bubble popped around 2007-2010ish, none of these people know what they're doing anymore).
Games are focusing on narrative because it is the easiest way to direct attention away from the fact that the game is playing itself 30-90% of the time.
There are so many accommodations that need to be made for the lack of good camera and cursor controls.
The game needs aim assist.
The game needs a stealth function.
The game needs a cover system.
The game needs a "walk" button for its camera.
The game needs context driven actions with very liberal trigger boxes.
The game frequently needs to forcefully orient or move the player for things like melee combat, to ensure that they can hit things.
The game probably has a slow motion system or executions.
This all then goes hand-in-hand with ensuring that the player does not notice this and the player is in fact encouraged to forget anything longer than a commercial.
The game needs to make sure that actions do not have longterm consequences.
The game needs to make sure that the player is frequently reminded of what they are supposed to be doing.
The game frequently needs to insert sections that play themselves even more than usual like walk and talks, this is a tactic that is frequently used to pitch things for approval, propose a ludicrous thing first and then submit what you actually want to get through. The use of bombastic set pieces for these moments also serves to let the player forget whatever came before and seemingly end on a high note.
Gyro aim is a step towards allowing all of this to be ditched, but as long as a main competitor doesn't have gyro they will still have to design the game as if gyro does not exist.
>the game is shit because it's shit 90% of the time
yes water is wet
The game is shit because it has to be shit 90% of the time to distract from the fact that it is shit 10% of the time.
>the game is shit because it's shit 100% of the time
I touched water and I got wet
Id rather play "narrative driven" games that any slop produced Beshitsa
there might not even be a sony or even a human civilization by the time ES6 comes out
Rare israeliteels of metaphysical absolutes are dangerous for the masses. You see what others cannot hear, and you taste the bitter regret from the dregs of humanity. Solace and discretion is the better part the cowardice we face each day, you and I. Their cawing falls on deaf ears, as they thrash about through the doldrums of their vestigial pride. They will not heed your warning.
>game from 15 years in the future won't be on a current gen console
yeah no shit, homosexual
it won't be on any future snoy console.
it hasn't even been announced for any console
Homogenisation is the problem with AAA. Everything now is some variety of narrative focused action game with light RPG elements, and that's boring past a certain point, because you're just playing the same game over and over.
It used to be we had specific genres for specific things. An RPG was not an adventure game, which was not an action game. And in a lot of ways it was better like that, because it meant you had variety, and you also didn't have shit you didn't want in your preferred genre.
You didn't boot up Doom and get greeted to skill trees and cutscenes, when all you really want is action.
You didn't boot up Fallout, and have to play a bunch of first person shooting sequences.
I agree that games feeling samey isn't fun and gets dull. However I see nothing wrong with games that have some RPG elements or other. My main gripe is how everything feels rigid and like the levels are hallways. Interacting on contex sensitive things is awful gameplay. Games need to have more elements in a sandbox to feel satisfying. Hardware can totally accommodate that, yet all the effort is being put on graphics and cutscenes, shit that isn't necessary in a video game.
Well, that used to be it's own niche too. Deus Ex or whatever. But when it's just every major game that comes out, how can you not be bored of it?
ideally it adds more depth to a game. I'm saying those systems are besides the point, the main gameplay is the problem. the way a game feels minute to minute to play through. not the moments you get experience points for doing something and you pause and pick something. that specifically isn't a hinderence, and ideally, it only adds some positives.
the root of all AAA games being homosexual these days is the corporitization of developers, who are now beholden to shareholders who don't give a single frick about video games, only about infinite unsustainable growth and profit.
Although I guess Deus Ex is still ten times more a real RPG.
Maybe like Thief.
nope. narrative driven = the real video games.
what's ruining the industry is e-sports and zoomer sandbox garbage, games without a narrative focus
we need more Spidermans, and less Last of Us
Tes6 will look 20% compared to Skyrim and run twice as bad as starfield.
Also I'm waiting for the creation kit for starfield to check how much it got nerfed.
