>but the king needs biomass to return to theirs originals bodies.
This is so stupid considering Necrons were desinged as peak performance. Who the frick needs inferior bodies instead of the living metal perfection? Nearly immortal, can't be corrupted by Chaos, doesn't care about Tyranids plagues, doesn't need Warp to travel etc etc. made to be Kangs of the WH universe.
>desinged as peak performance. Who the frick needs inferior bodies instead of the living metal perfection? Nearly immortal
Isn't this the issue? The ultimate price they were forced to pay in exchange for the power to defeat the old ones, and they've cursing their condition for millions of years?
>going to sleep to get out of the crossfire of demons preying on regular life forms
Makes some sense. >going to sleep because you lost a war against an empire of sentient species and you hope if you don't move they can't see you and then forget about you >also they lost the war with enough of an army to still be a galaxy spanning threat after going through stasis, splitting into factions and fighting a couple civil wars for control
Nucron lore is dumb and the writer just randomly connected the dots with whatever.
Just looked it up on Lexicanum. It's weaselly written. They say they defeated the Old Ones and the C'tan and then were weakened and went to sleep because the Eldar would wipe the floor with them.
So they didn't "lose" they just "stopped fighting because they couldn't any more in the face of a superior foe". Which I would call losing, personally.
all necron lore is weasely because it depends so much on the details of how their phasing, awakening, and repairing works, a writer can make them totally unstoppable or a non-threat depending on how reliable that stuff is
No, they weren't, because them then going to sleep in the first place wouldn't have made any sense. The whole reason they slept was because they couldn't make more of themselves and they were losing the war. This way, everything is rounded out.
Them going to sleep is fricking moronic either way
What do you think would happen if a country suddenly abandons all their fronts and hides their troops in underground bunkers?
They're going to get raped every step of their withdrawal and then have their shelters nuked
I meant more as lore wise, played DoW as a kid and wraiths were always the creepiest unit to me. The new canoptek or w/e ones don't really resonate with me
Their illustrations in the books were fantastic. Also interesting to play in big numbers with a Destroyerlord. Sadly the miniatures looked pretty stupid.

Yep, it's Necron time
The Emperor of Mankind was Judas and the reason that he wants to eridicate religion is because to this day he's still seething about Christ resurrecting when he thought he had finally got rid of him.

Rogue Trader.
They still are eradicating inferior life, but the king needs biomass to return to theirs originals bodies.

Kids are losing their minds by growing up with ipads and you think a race of eternal cancer patients would stay sane?

Because they can't create new necrons.
So necrons are just tyranids now? Lame
Why did GW not just make a subfaction of C'tan cultists?
i completely and utterly agree
they ruined them with this gay space pharao shit
What's the best game to get into necrons?
I already played mechanicus and tried DoW and didn't like it.
Battlefleet Gothic 2 has Necrons playable. But I think that's about it for vidya options.
Also how can you not like DoW1? One of the most universally appealing RTS games out there I'd say.
>Also how can you not like DoW1?
vanilla DoW is pretty mid..
Dark crusade is a top tier game. Also best voice acting
necrons are the least fun race in dow
You don't know what fun is
fun is the other races in dow, esp. tau
>1,000,000 kroot carnivores bouncing across the screen and eating people
kino
To me, teleporting an entire army on top of the enemy HQ will never get boring but maybe that's just me.
Unironically Gladius where your units can become the ultimate immortal fricks that simply cannot be put down.
Read/listen to pic related.
Delete every single bit of 40k lore that has come out after 2004
I thought necrons went the WoW route where they are free but still act like complete buttholes and force people in to becoming necrons?
Didn't ask, don't care. Space tomb kings are fun and Trazyn is great.

wait what war did necrons ever lose?

In 40k if you don't move then everybody moves on to kill each other instead of you.
>in 40k we can ignore reality and common sense
Then you can ignore tin soldiers going to sleep so they can eradicate all life in the future
Thread theme
Gladius has a nice theme for them

I respectfully disagree. Beat too fast for Necron
wraiths are scary
easily countered by any melee unit though, and gets shredded by Sisters
I meant more as lore wise, played DoW as a kid and wraiths were always the creepiest unit to me. The new canoptek or w/e ones don't really resonate with me
>The new canoptek or w/e ones don't really resonate with me
same, new one looks cool, but not scary
something about the old wraiths look unnerving
Tabletop scarabs look like shit too
