I think the charm system sucks and the game has a bunch of issues people smooth over. I have no faith that Silksong will be good, I can only hope that it is. What separates me from you is that I understand the development process and I know that informing an audience of mouthbreathing morons of the minutiae of your progress is a fruitless endeavor unless you have specifically already accepted their money for the end product. I think you have some warped perception of the people asking for info/a real release. They aren't foaming at the mouth hammering their keyboard yelling at the devs. They are just curiously wondering "hey what the hell is the problem"? Obviously the players have no choice but to wait because the game isn't out. But that's where the curiosity comes from. They want to play the game, they want to know what's up. And when the devs give non-answers day in and day out and the game hits every single "release date" but is delayed every single time, people get a bit miffed about it. People want to play, they want to know, they don't not want to know. If it needs to be delayed so be it, but people want a reason for it or at the very least a defined date that the game will come out in.
