Remake 3 is like 4 times longer than the original. The problem is it shipped with REsistance which was supposed to both work and be the replacement for all the cut content and be something a little more substantial than beating RE3 8 times for different outfits.

I feel like that's a lie. I cleared REmake 3 first time in about 3.5 hours, and that was me looking for all collectibles and taking in the scenery.

Exoprimal was a huge failure so maybe they'll repurpose all the assets a second time and actually make a DC remake.
They did have a survey thing a while back that included what games we wanted remakes of, DC was an option.
But exoprimal could have just as easily been a dino crisis 3 situation, they make a shitty game and then assume people didnt like it because dinosaurs arent trendy.

I still can't get over how they nerfed the gore system after RE2R.
They wanted bigger crowds of zombies so each zombie had to be less resource intensive.
They sacrificed a lot to only MAYBE double their zombie count though.
1 is the only game that got a proper remake. Neither demake 2 or 4 qualify for that description.
I like how r3make cut out the fluff and focused on what's important. The story and action.

The clock tower fight where Nemesis turns into beast was the sign that i knew this was gonna be a one and done game. beat the game on 4/4/20 and never played it again with how dissapointed i was with Remake3.
I don't get it. Ive heard the "3 is the best" meme so many times. What the frick are you talking about? The level design is so brain off, and Nemesis is legit an obnoxious moron. Frick off, no he's not hard, he's just annoying. The game's combat isn't well designed enough or consistent enough to make fighting him fun. Non dedicated dodge makes for moronic input problems. Anyway. The dodge is the coolest thing about 3 for me. As well as the upgraded weapons, but the level design, combined with how annoying Nemesis is (leave me alone mfer, stop showing up at random places I get key items)

said I liked exploring Racoon City and all the different scenarios you get depending on the choices you make. The weapon upgrade system is cool. The gunpowder system is still the best in the series.

I already avoid him 90% of the time. He's not fun enough to fight with classic RE combat to just fight for the frick of it. I see speedruns and challenge no damage runs where they have to cheese Nemesis to get clipped on the edge of a building just to have a reasonable fight with him, and completely nope out, because it's implicitly admitting both that the dodge is too moronic and inconsistent for it to TRULY be skill based, and that he's moronic to fight without tanking with a bunch of healing items.
I remember hearing morons try and pretend that the dodge actually isn't shit because apparently speedrunners and challenge runners use it? Yeah but I've never seen any of them use it against the literal enemy it's designed for, so they were just straight up lying.
I respect the reason you like it though. I can understand that. Just don't care about aesthetics and atmosphere much personally.
When you enter a room and the music starts playing and Nemesis is sprinting towards you at 100 mph still gets me every time. None of the other games have that.
REmake is just RE1 but better in every way. I don't gate REmake haters at all.

I never played OG 3 but even I could feel some bizarre butchering going on with 3make when I played it. There were so many baffling choices. It deserved WAY fricking better than what it got.
