All the Kirito Uchihas are playing RPR right now, and some play SAM
When the dual wield sword job comes out, all the low tier weebs that are bad at the game will flock to it....they don't play NIN because it requires you to us a small amount of brainpower
But NIN is the easiest melee. Just press your trick window every minute and you don't even have to be in melee range.

Honestly, the only melee that really makes you actually think is MNK in my opinion
MNK, BLM or SAM
MNK has a rotation that flows well and is very flexible
SAM has 3 different combos that build up to a big hit
BLM is flexible like MNK but is a caster, it requires a big brain
I'll give an honorable mention to DRG, I like its long looping rotation and it's my favorite
NIN is only hard relative to jobs like SAM that are literally impossible to frick up or DRG now that it no longer has any animation locks and its jumps are ranged

Technically no, but functionally yes. You've been able to double weave Spineshatter and Dragonfire Dives since the beginnning of EW and now you can double weave them with Jump too. You get animation locked for like 0.3s now, and Jump no longer moves you to the target (it just locks you in place briefly).
That was a good change because any time a bind would go out, it would drift your jump by like 10-20 seconds in some fights
They learned how awful that was with NIN in Zod Ex at the start of the expansion when Forked/Fleeting Raiju made you dash and you had to do 2 back to back

Making Jump just a ranged attack already fixed that. Besides, solving fight design issues by making your jobs play worse is not the way to go.

There have been plenty of mechanics over the years that have created rotational issues and people learned how to deal with it before. I'll add on to this FFXI's "dawntrail" point in its lifecycle, wings of the goddess. As soon as I and everyone else saw that the "theme" of the expansion was time traveling (which just so happened to reuse almost every single existing zone with oldness erased) it was over. We didn't know at the time what they were working on, but it was FFXIV 1.0.
Yeah, it's pretty clear to anyone who's been through this before that we've crested the peak and it's managed decline from here. We've already seen content getting more sparse, rewards getting less satisfying while cool stuff gets slid to the cash shop, declining quality in what we do get, more and more major bugs on patches. There's still stuff to enjoy about the game, but for those who haven't been here before, let me tell you to just accept that's happening and learn to let go. If you understand what's going on, you can temper your expectations and still find enjoyment. If not, you will either end up seething or you will evolve into a blizzdrone cultist.
HOWEVER, WotG ended up being kino in the end, copypasted zones aside.
FF14 is too profitable right now, despite what some may say off of article reports for doomerposting, to immediately start trying to fold. But Yoshida's "ten more years!" was way too optimistic for a game that already fumbled trying to conclude its story arcs so hard with EW. The more I see about DT, the more it feels like we're entering a weird situation where they have to justify continuing things but whether it'll pay off or not is a crapshoot. But they've got no one else in the company that can cook up a new revenue-producing MMO either.

No one will care but Y'shtola is literally one of the hardert cosplays to attempt. Her dress is incredibly detailed and needs GOOD fabrics to look and fall right. At the same time you just can not be a hambeast, since they made the whole thing very, very figure-accentuating, at the same time you can't cheat by wearing a corset since her back is basically bare. Her staff/boots are pretty detailed as well, and her haircut defies gravity and needs copious amounts of styling, but if you overdo it it looses it's fluffyness. Frankly all non-roulette content that isn't exploratory or raids dies like this. People espouse about how we got so much to play with but if you weren't in on the ground floor from the get-go you straight up need PF or a dedicated friend group to actually do it unless it can be soloed. People say "MUH REWARDS" but the reality is most of this shit is so out of the way optional and you can comfortably play the game without ever touching it, giving no real incentive to go frick with it; once the rewards people are done for the mounts and glams, they're out for good, leaving no one to play it.
This applies to DF content as well though. If you aren't there week 1 or 2 of EX/Unreal good chance you are fricked.

2 minute is fine, you just need variable input into the burst phase.
What that means is you can't just have the burst on a 120 second timer or a gauge being filled by simply pressing buttons, you have to hit certain variables.
Simple example is

I was never able to get into JRPGs as a kid, now that I'm an adult how do you think I'd enjoy FF, particularly VII and VIII?
vii might put you off if you're not ready for the presentation, but it's also a mix of snappy in story pacing yet slow in battles. viii is a VERY acquired taste and even slower with a genuinely tedious system if you don't know how to exploit it, while genuinely being a trip down batshit weirdness. if you're not ready for random encounters and grinding as old-school RPGs are wont to do, then it's better to watch a playthrough than to spend money and time on something you probably wouldn't like from the outset. if you've played any games similar to them in recent years and could handle it, though, then it shouldn't be a big deal and the modern ports have speed up options.
Depends on how you feel about turn based games. VII is a good introduction to that era of JRPGs but it's a long game and when you're running around in the overworld you'll probably get annoyed by the screen transitioning to a battle every 10 seconds or so you move. If you enjoy VII, then I would suggest VIII, don't do that one first.
If you couldn't play them as a kid you won't be able to stomach it now.

I'm fine with VPR as long as there's a dual cutlass glam for the weapon.
I'd expect some different swords for them, Red Mage and Paladin both got sabers, cutlasses and katanas and Samurai got cavalry sabers and tulwars.

VPR changing to dual stance through an attack gives me very low expectations. It should be an oGCD on a very short cooldown like shifting between white and black mana as RDM in PVP. Chances are that is how it will function in PVP, but it should also be like that in PVE.
I wish it was stance based, but that won't happen.
You never know, it could be you press one button to swap the modes which puts you into a semi enshroud state where you can't use your dual blade shit.

I legitimately do not know how they can rework DRG. It was perfect in SB and arguably SHB, but EW DRG disgusts me. I genuinely dislike charges for attacks, because not instead of pushing a skill once every 60s, you push it twice every 120s.
The charge system was such a fricking mistake simply because of buff alignment, they need to just get rid of buff alignment shit outside of specific comps jesus christ.

It's perfectly fine on utility like gap closers or short timer oGCD (RPR got this right at least), but I just don't enjoy DRG and SAM now. There's a lot of jobs I used to play for fun I don't touch anymore in EW.

At the time it looked like jobs from SB onward would be in good hands while those from ARR and HW would often suffer refitting into the new mold. However, out of RDM, SAM, GNB, and DNC, only RDM seemed to retain its flow while the rest have some weird addition or change that makes them less enjoyable in EW.

It's "original", but it takes influence from Zidane. Green Mage can be whatever they want it to be, really. The only thing I know about it is that it has casts like shell and oil.

VPR is a style from Tural, THOUGH. The theme is new horizons, new adventure, which is vague enough that anything works. Besides, it's not like RDM fit SB themes or GNB fit SHB.
