She didn't get scared off, she was already in the process of removing her online presence and setting things up with a business partner's LLC for tax and legal stuff. The "doxxing" was people finding an old defunct email address she used in a previous collaboration with that business partner, and only happened *because* she was already stepping away. It was like a bizarre sort of antidoxxing.

My working theory is the mages/necromancers can raise the dead and there were enough of them I couldn't finish them off before they raised themselves back up, but what the frick.
