I thought the same thing with the ugly glow int he dark one they released like a month ago, I wish they'd at least shorten the time between purchase and shipping though before making all these new models. Then again they probably figure if they wait too long people will lose interest.

I waited on my standard black one for almost a year and only got it like a month ago. They were unobtainable until the last batch shipped out, then they released the limited edition one people were pissed they couldn't buy and now they are doing the same again while it is still perceived as a hard to obtain item.

Are these actually good? I dont hate emulation conceptually but the imperfections bother my autism, do these actually deliver a flawless experience? How are the ergonomics? IIRC they have at least one set of shoulder buttons, do the triggers work for games like Mega Man X?

Vertical handhelds are not particularily ergonomic in general but it is fine by the standards of those.
I love using mine, but certainly not enough to buy a second. The only real issues I have with it are the d-pad which is like those 8-bitdo ones where you can hold a direction and occasionally hit adjacent inputs, and the save/loading states and wake/sleep functions being unreliable.
The screen is sex, and there's dozens of FPGA cores available, but unless you have a collection of carts you prefer playing to emulation, it's probably too expensive to be worth it to most people.
I REALLY want to buy an Analogue Duo but I'm hard pressed to drop hundreds then hundreds more on shipping & import duties that hasn't even been reviewed.yet I know there won't be a chance to buy one after the fact.
You can't use flash carts because they won't fit, Also, one reliable source has stated that installing cores will be a huge fricking chore compared to previous models, so we may not see a hacked machine for quite some time. Buy the real thing. Replace what you need to. Mod what you need to. It will be a better and cheaper investment.
I have the real the real thing and an extensive library of original TG-16/CD games and a Super System Card but the CD drive died years ago and hooking it up that beast to a modern tv would be cumbersome & annoying.
What are some mods you'd recommend? I found a GBC in the attic (teal) with no games in the box. I am a cheap fricker if that helps.
