i kind of always assumed every able bodied adult on a death world is either a hardy survivor or too indispensable to let die, so all fem groups of catachans doesn't phase me one bit. the only ones that are bothered by it are the only ones that read the lore where it says "yes, ALL adults" and just erase that bit where fems are those in their brains

Thing is there is scope for some interesting gender dynamics in a society like Catachans. Like, I can see how you might get a split where there's a disproportionate number of male officers & NCOs and female troopers in the PDF, and the reverse in their Guard foundings - the high mortality rate on a Deathworld is going to need a high birth rate to compensate, so the idea of prime young women going offworld to fight does seem a bit daft, but at the same time all Catachans are genetic(by natural selection rather than engineering) freaks that kick ass regardless of gender, so you could end up with a situation where younger women tend to serve in the PDF at home while they pop out a few sprogs and a smaller number of more mature women with that PDF experience end up serving as NCOs and junior officers in disproportionately(but not exclusively) male Guard foundings, and then among those lucky few regiments that get to retire back home the disproportionately male survivors would serve the PDF as officers and NCOs to pass on their experience.

But you can't have fun little cultural quirks like that or the Firstborn these days without it being eliminated for Wrongthink or highjacked by coomtards.

Female Catachans are probably generally left at home, but about as capable as the men because if they weren't they'd fricking die., so I could see situations where the imperium goes "Oh shit we need more Guard, fricking now" and grabs some of them as well.

        >the high mortality rate on a Deathworld is going to need a high birth rate to compensate
You're not supposed to think about numbers or logistics or any sort of realism for a place like Catachan. Every single plant, animal, bug, rock, or pile of mud will kill you in some comically over the top way, the planet produces nothing, it's impossible to settle or develop, and there are somehow enough catachans to be a galaxy wide famous regiment on this planet that basically can't support human life.

          Anonymous

Catachan vets are just that good they have it down to practically a joke. They have such a moronicly deadly planet, and can still produce enough people to make multiple regiments. They have str 4 in tabletop, which is space marine level, and produce enough kids that even their own constant combat and death world can't keep them down.

Fixed that for you. GW can't into numbers and attempting to think of the logistics for anything is a fools errand. They also don't care, because it's a setting where big numbers are cool and they want to have the biggest numbers.

*Games Workshop* don't have to think about this stuff, and neither do you if you don't want to, but this idea that's come into the fandom in the last decade or so(coincidentally right alongside the tide of zoomergays and "lore" consoomers...) that you *shouldn't* think about this stuff if you want to is cancer. Half the fun of fandom is thinking about this kind of shit, is taking the barebones outlines provided and fleshing them out into something more coherent or just more interesting to you.

Mostly by burying it or using it as a scent trap. Sometimes by sending a menstruating woman off with women as guards so they don't draw predators and scavengers to the main group, then they meet up again. Keep in mind that between no menstruation when you're starving, no menstruation when you're exerting yourself often, no menstruation when you're pregnant, and no/light menstruation when you're breastfeeding, the current state of having regular monthly periods for years at a time is extremely bizarre and not how humans evolved. Catachan women probably only bleed when they have the luxury to do it, such as when they're among a big and strong enough group that their stress levels drop below peak.

    Who does this appeal to?
Literal decades of Catachan Jungle fighter art that look like Renaissance paintings next to this shit.

It's not just that I find this difficult to jerk off to, it's that it has nothing to recommend it at all.

There is also a long established precedent that Jungle Fighter grils wear tight fitting croptops, accentuating their boobies, massive fricking tiddies, super stuffed up milkies, honker wonker doinky boinkies while also displaying their cute toned tummies.

How would a woman survive in the jungle without ample mana supplies?

        >The swinging mace operated in a very similar way to the bamboo whip, but rather than be attached to a stick, the spikes were on a 24-inch clay, wooden or metal ball, which was triggered by another tripwire. Typically, the ball weighed upwards of 40 pounds.

This was one of the more brutal tactics utilized by the Viet Cong, as when the hidden ball was triggered, it would use the force of gravity to swing down from a tree and inflict terrible wounds to a soldier’s upper body – in particular, their head and upper torso.
