PLEASE PLEASE BE THIS. I love the concept of stellaris but I fricking hate scifi
Age of Wonders 4 is already kind of like this but as a small-scale 4X game instead of a huge GS/4X hybrid. Not sure if they want to compete against their own games considering AoW4 is also published by Paradox.
I like age of wonders 4 but it’s not customizable enough, not nearly customizable enough. I want stellaris level customization, I want to actually create governments and societies, I need more then >these are elves but bad and industrious >these are elves but good and barbaric
I personally hate how the different races in AoW4 are just models, there are no inherent traits tied to them, makes it all feel very bland and soulless
>select your portrait! >Aboriginals wearing Bedouin wraps and Japanese silks >Beautiful orcs that are mostly women >Dysgenic elves with dyed hair >Dwarfs... not included because rigging their models is too hard >Frick ugly furry race >uwu fox race ported directly from Stellaris with his stupid triangle Digimon face
You don't get to co-opt anime troontard
I prefer the joke that the flag is just the US' flag.
Playing in a cliched stereotyped fantasy setting in a gsg would actually be pretty fun.
Paradox can't do that.
Their Stellaris is to the generic Sci-Fi setting that Kingdome Come is to generic fantasy.
They'd make a world where provinces have 3 values, red, green and blue, and a lot of provinces would have the values zero zero zero because lol, did you expect the desert tile to have strategic value in a video game?
>stellaris >hoi4 >some rome game >ck3 >vic3 >just ignore those after 8 years of failures the new EU will be good
EU5 hopers are delusional goyslop morons
Let's say they license out an existing fantasy universe in which to do a GSG. Would you think this is a good idea? Which setting would you prefer, if this was the case?
In this order, warhammer fantasy, elder scrolls, middle earth, everything else after these three is shit.
I think warhammer fantasy is the most compatible with a GSG but I’ve been playing a lot of total war warhammer, so I’d honestly rather a good elder scrolls strategy game, even if Warhammer is probably the best and most sensible choice

There's a few that I think would be a good idea but if it is this it will be ASOIAF. It fits Paradox perfectly. >mods have already done it really well >5 - 10 years after all interest in GoT has gone
Doesn't paradox have use of Conan through funcom? A chudly Hyborian 4x strategy with custom race designer would excite me but will probably never happen
what if it's just called new game and it's literally just a cookie clicker
you just press buttons to make several types of colored mana bars go up
DLC adds new types of mana
Fricking hell.
It was a week since Paradox shilled for their "NEW" greatest-ever game. And it turned out to be a civ clone with no real ideas that will be DoA.
Now they're announcing YET ANOTHER GREATEST NEW BESTES GAME tomorrow, shilling for it, and once again people are excited.
I'm sure this time it will be EU5 but in good or your "Fantasy GSG".
>oh boy more paraslop >I can't wait to fork over 1000 eurobucks in DLC >peg me harder, johann
anyway, the font looks science fictiony, and not ye oldey, so as much as elf stellaris has been predicted, I think it's something in the opposite direction on the timeline
no, 7 days
doesn't really look that interesting tbh
voxel blocks like in minecraft but focused just on building
maybe the gampeplay is fun and looks like its going to be multiplayer though
Because the Devs seem to be first timers chasing trends to late to make it stand out. Paradox management on the other hand are still just fricking idiots though.
The first update on the steam page was 13th October 2020 (announcing a official discord for the game), so I guess Paradox just picked them up recently or something?
a civ clone and now a satisfactory clone, which was already a 3d clone of factario wow amazing.
who fricking cares about any slop this shit studio pumps out anymore
>Company went public in 2016 >All games made after 2016 is shit.
Many such cases. Why are we surprised anymore? There are no good developers anymore. The israelites ruin everything they touch.
Why would anyone give a frick what a studio who hasn't done anything worth playing since 2012 is doing?
Here's hoping for a fantasy map painter.
I hope gnolls are in. Gnolls are never in games.
If they make a fantasy map painter I'd expect them to go the Stellaris route and let you make your own race.

same here senpai
Our time has come, Anbennarbros.
Hoping for a proper VN with map painting mini-game.
Is Millennium already memory holed?
nothing to talk about before the next dev diary comes out, should be coming every 2 weeks or something
Anon, this is a SECOND new game.
so they are doing
>the sims
>civ
>cities skylines 2
+ another big project
this better be EU5, EU series always followed 2-3 years after CK release
It's not EU5. Shut the frick up.
>stellaris
>hoi4
>some rome game
>ck3
>vic3
>just ignore those after 8 years of failures the new EU will be good
EU5 hopers are delusional goyslop morons
> font looks like shit
not PDS, get the frick outta here
probably published by paradox, not developed by them like millenia
>Paradox
to trash it goes
Ok what do we know about it? Trees and what is probably a horizon line of an ocean behind the fog.
EU5 maybe? Eventually another surviving game on a deserted island or a colony.
More slop
PDX Spore Clone
Let's say they license out an existing fantasy universe in which to do a GSG. Would you think this is a good idea? Which setting would you prefer, if this was the case?
I just hope it's something with a bit of orginality and not just more copypasted Tolkien/D&D/Warhammer slop.
The duality of man
In this order, warhammer fantasy, elder scrolls, middle earth, everything else after these three is shit.
I think warhammer fantasy is the most compatible with a GSG but I’ve been playing a lot of total war warhammer, so I’d honestly rather a good elder scrolls strategy game, even if Warhammer is probably the best and most sensible choice
Glorantha. Let's saturate the market with GSGs (Glorantha Strategy Games).
Wheel of Time would be interesting, not sure how well it would translate into a strategy game though
There's a few that I think would be a good idea but if it is this it will be ASOIAF. It fits Paradox perfectly.
>mods have already done it really well

Doesn't paradox have use of Conan through funcom? A chudly Hyborian 4x strategy with custom race designer would excite me but will probably never happen
I'd prefer if they do a kitchen sink from their own fantasy IPs(Tyranny, Age of Wonders, Magicka etc.) ala Heroes of the Storm.
>Magicka
>a faction of powerful wizards that are more likely to blow up eachother than the enemy
Playing in a cliched stereotyped fantasy setting in a gsg would actually be pretty fun.
what if it's just called new game and it's literally just a cookie clicker

You mean CK3?
I hope they add anime e-girls
You dropped this.
troony.
You don't get to co-opt anime troontard
21h to go
Fricking hell.

Wow new paradox game, will look in it around the year 2025 maby it will be worth something.

Modern Stellaris!
>he buys dlc
oh nonono!
2h 40min
Don't expect much. Obviously Millenium was the main announcment, this is just gonna be some shitty cheap game from a small studio.
I was disappointed with Milenia game and announcement.

OP you dumb Black person
I am sorry fren. Thank you!
shit or not shit, what is your prediction
March of the Eagles 2
boohoo
Spore 2
civ clone 2
Here we go.
hahahahahahah
its a first person factory game
Paradox as usual jumping on a trend a decade late.
If a game is good then I don't care when it comes out.
factorio in 3d clone
it's over
the game's shit
bruh
I like satisfactory so maybe this is cool
demo available in 4 days
no, 7 days
doesn't really look that interesting tbh
voxel blocks like in minecraft but focused just on building
maybe the gampeplay is fun and looks like its going to be multiplayer though
SATISCACTORY CLOEN!?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/983870/FOUNDRY/
I guess this is the wrong board for this game now lol
are factory games considered strategy games?
Paradox is over gg
>Show a robot army
>Don't show them taking over anything
shit game.
How is it even possible to be this creatively bankrupt
Because the Devs seem to be first timers chasing trends to late to make it stand out. Paradox management on the other hand are still just fricking idiots though.
>creatively bankrupt
Take note the upcoming PDX releases:
>minecraft
>the sims
>civilisation
>sim city sequel
Fricking hilarious
Which game is the sims?
Life by You
A big difference compared to satisfactory is that you seem to be able to terraform the landspace fully like in minecraft
Blue's hand is kinda fricked
there are like 35 dev blogs on the steam page
Atrocious. At least it's not /vst/ so I don't have to hear about it here anymore.
The first update on the steam page was 13th October 2020 (announcing a official discord for the game), so I guess Paradox just picked them up recently or something?
I remember playing some pirate demo version like almost a year ago, so I guess it's a publishing deal?
did you like it?
I dunno. It wasn't offensive, but also didn't really hook me beyond a couple days. There's a lot of gregtech/satisfactory 3d factory clones out there.
>gregtech
mein neger
But this was already announced? I saw people talking about it on /egg/ days ago.
Yeah, seems like they just signed on publishing rights to a game that has in in development openly for a while.
So it's just Satisfactory + Minecraft?
Eh, mite b cool.
>"huh, looks cool"
>check steam page
>it's already on my wishlist
lol
Yeah it's been on Steam for like 3 years, Paradox just made a publishing deal with the developers which is why they're shilling it now.
a civ clone and now a satisfactory clone, which was already a 3d clone of factario wow amazing.
who fricking cares about any slop this shit studio pumps out anymore

CK3 pisses in your face hater.
>civ clone
there is? Frick I hope it's not Humakind level wokery.
>civ clone
>clone of factorio clone
????
why is pdx doing this
money
