It baffles me that casual anime cashgrabs go for arena fighters instead of musou. It's a similarly low budget genre but would sell better with people who can't get into PVP and it wouldn't matter if the game was an unbalanced mess.
musou is single player and requires making content
fighting games, you just dump some assets onto an existant system and it's not even considered stale by fighting game standards
Your not gonna really pretend that making a buncha maps with copy pasted mooks and the occasional objective is hard to develop? Heck fighting games arguably require way more testing since you want at least the illusion that the game is balanced whereas with musou being pvm power trips it doesn't matter if character A has a slightly longer clear time then character B. Allot of shitty arena fighters also go through months of balance updates and tweaks and your have to always make sure you develop your DLC characters to be flashy and maybe a bit op before nerfing them down the line.
Mario.
gay no fricking thank you
Napoleonic bayonet warfare musou could be cool
I would play the shit out of a TMNT musou
Who would be playable besides napoleon himself?
Probably his marshalls like Ney and Murat.
What about him?
I think it would probably be a super sentai musou instead of power rangers
I honestly just want another DW: Gundam, complete with batshit insane crossover story shenanigans.
Dragon Ball
>b-bu-
Dragon Ball
What would the mooks be? DBZ power scaling is crazy and the majority of the fights are between named characters.
Embrace the Xenoverse moronation. Goku never got dropped on his head. Vegeta was actually a protector. Android 21 ran out of dicks to suck dry. etcetc
Saibamen for Saiyan Saga, Alien troopers for Frieza, Cell jr hybrids for Androids, and various hell demons for Majin Buu
Power Rangers musou would be kino, could throw in Masked Rider, VR Troopers and Gridman characters.
Final Fantasy. It's perfect because there's tons of material you can use from every game.
Dragon Quest. It has enough enemy variety and they can tack on JRPG elements.
isn't dragon quest heroes basically that, I never played those
I don't know if you're being serious, but yeah, both DQH games are really good
what the hell is a musso

no one can misspell musou as musso

vs not making? yes, absolutely
Man i have not played a power rangers game since the mega drive/snes games and some of them were awesome
a Power Rangers dynasty warriors game would be fricking cool as hell why isnt that real
It would never happen, but a WWE/F arcadey style musou would be amazing. Really get into the campyness of the characters.
Undertaker taking a jobber and chokeslamming them into the ground and shit would be fun as frick.
pokemon, it would be a perfect fit
Yugioh, especially the World Legacy era.
