    >Ragnar the demon destroyer is actually part of a demon BDSM cult.
    >Local necromancer is protected by the adventurers league due to amount of free produce gifted to the league. Does some horrifically shady stuff on the side just barely out of sight
    >Killing the bbeg is prohibited, it's supposed to be a cat and mouse game where you foil eachother's plans.
    >actually killing a bbeg leads to the other BBEGs of the world to drop fantasy nukes on your head.
    >Wizard experiments on sentients is prohibited, but a person in your group still does them on the side. Has to give up his flesh monstrosities when found out.

You have to feature it in a realistic, comedic way too. So the mid to low tier guys are shlubs living out of a hut barely making do, and it's less about political correctness and more about putting a spin on things.

So the orc union one would work pretty well, like the party reaches a raiding camp they've been told to wipe out, and it turns out all the orcs except the chieftain are on strike. If using the wizard tower idea, have it that someone comes it demanding this new tower be demolished because its way out of code. Instead the wizard tries sending one of the floors into another dimension, ends up destroying the tower anyways.

So how an organization and deal like the Guild/OSI would work on a fantasy world?

With like "assiegned heroes and vilains" roles and etc

I feel like Discworld vibe would work well with if.

It seems like it would work really well in a D&D type world. RPGs already have stuff like levels and adventurers can be just as flashy as superheroes.

        Harpers or a Knightly order.

Considering the time period, it'd be less formal than "you get assigned bad guy", just because people end up traveling a good bit. the guild/OSI analogue would be more about shit not getting out of hand, and making sure people play nice.

Most notable would be that you couldn't butt in on an enemy that someone else is working on. Like discovering the markings of a cult, and finding out some other scooby gang is already on the case and you have to give it up. Later on you hear that cult succeeded in summoning some minor form of their god because the other guys sucked.

Another notable thing is that the OSI analogue would definitely be enforcing the tech stagnation. They get wind of someone making firearms or cannons, and take them out, or buy them out. It's not that people couldn't advance tech, but the OSI doesn't want either side to get a lead on the other

The lack of tech could be exchanged by magic to keep tract of things.

And you could have "Stereotypical Fantasy Guilds" taking the role of...well, The Guild from Venture Bros.

You see, Venture Bros is a parody/affectionate desconstruction of 60's adventure shows and superheroes, something of the same vibe for fantasy should also try to parody it in a similar way. Parodying the usual "Adventurer Guild" by making it actually act like a guild could be amusing.

I love when people try to make elaborate deconstructist fantasy settings and they're just Discworld, it's not bad I like Discworld and much in the same way Vetrinari is rather similar to The Sovereign of the early seasons of Venture Bros.
I also enjoy the idea of the Adventurer's Guild essentially being like if the Freemason orgy accidentally spilled into the City Council gangbang

Which system is the best for fantasy Venture Bros...bros? Does Discworld has an official ttrpg book?

    >"Trust me, being a Level 10 isn't all that's cracked up to be. You need to keep an entire organization of mooks, goons, and henchmen happy and on task, or else they'll bungle to the first adventuring party they see. And honestly, once you get to where I am, the only people coming into your carefully crafted and dangerous dungeons will be the guild with newsletters and fundraising pamphlets."

That last part gave me an idea for like, Wizard Spam
      > “Hot Succubusses are in your area.”
      > “How I made my Staff Larger and More Effective with One Weird Trick!”
      > “Local man discovers immortality! Paladin Orders HATE him!”

Guild drama was always the least interesting part of the Venture Bros and the show really went downhill once they started focusing on that over parodying Johnny Quest and silver age sci fi.

Out of that list, the only thing that sounds even remotely like Venture Bros is the orc union. Not their demand, just the fact they are unionized

Nah, the wizard tower height requirement fits. Venturious the Wise (son of Venturon the Mighty) is now desperately trying to argue that his attic counts as another story before he gets reclassified as a "conjurer" or even worse "mystic"

Chaotic Neutral (FREEDOM!) if there's alignments. Chaotic neutral behavior if there ain't. Replace every flag by a white flag written "Thrangar the Drow Slayer did nothing wrong." Overthrow the government.
