Korea's lack of understanding that systems that work in their region don't work across the world and they were and are slow to fix them.
The game is also dying in Korea itself due to shitty updates and they focused so much on difficult raids they even turned away the Korean grinders.
There's a point in Lost Ark where the only way to actually progress is through raids that range from challenging to outright unfair and you have to grind them weekly or fall behind forever. They pretty much put all other content on the back burner in favor of these.

Raids are easy to make, they're not even close to popular. Take WoW for example, 95% of players are leveling, in dungeons, PvP or open world content.
The dumb homosexuals who like raids are the minmaxers who while they should and shit themselves over how 'great' raiding is, dont represent the general community. Its EXACTLY why WoW started dying, all the content updates from WOTLK was about rushing through what 95% of people actually wanted to do, to get to raids which was the 'real' game.
You can see this shit across every MMO and games like Destiny, devs are completely detached from reality.
Devs are often recruited from hardcore players and want to make content that they themselves enjoy. A competent game director would force them to stay focused on content 99% of players enjoy not just poopsockers, but competent MMO game directors seem very hard to come by.

77k is quite low for a live-service games nowadays. Don't forget that the development for this game is more expensive than most live-service games add to the fact that AGS is owned by a publicly traded company.
The combat is so boring and repetitive I can barely stay awake playing it. I played in the alpha and beta and left feedback on their surveys about it, apparently the devs think its fine. Tab target MMOs are unironically much more engaging
Biggest problem is the desync with the animations as some of your moves just don't register and this has been an issue since alpha. They're just unable to fix it and it makes the whole game feel like some eurojank without any soul since it's made by the biggest conglomerate on earth.
I reinstalled it recently to see whether it had been improved and it still runs like garbage for no good reason, has no DLSS or FSR2 to improve the performance. They have a giant blogpost about how they're reworking the engine to support DX12 but no estimated release time, it's just not good enough

I wanted to get hooked on it only because of crafting but movement and gameplay were rather bad so I just gave up
