I'm finishing up g24 and hopefully g25 soon! Also practicing soloing techs for bank roll.
Workin on g24 too. Was told g25 has a huge difficulty spike in comparison to all other gens… can g25 be deferred for later or does it have some huge techniques or gates you from doing any endgame shit?
g25 has Pragarah, the technique that is basically Brionac for magic. Not a lot of content *needs* it, but helpful if you're a mage/alch or a regular crom runner. It also requires an erg 25 weapon equipped, but it can be any grade.
g24 is skippable tbh, Divinity is nice and all, but all you use it for these days is its advanced heavy stander, or the one nuke skill rarely.

The entire POINT of these games is that he's chosen to kill Ganon.
Even if you wanted to argue otherwise, these games are also fantasy games. Fantasy isn't about being a pussy and taking the safe way out, it's about doing all the cool dangerous shit you wish you could do in real life. The fantasy answer is there's an evil guy, so you train with your sword and take him out in single combat.

i thought it was another scripted loss at first with how unexpectedly strong he was. i eventually got a friend to just nuke him lol. the other world dungeon felt like a strange difficulty hike from the rest of g3 in general. the enemies felt genuinely threatening whereas i was mindlessly oneshotting everything in the dungeons prior to that point.

G1 isn't even of the same quality as G3, let alone the early stuff in the game compared to the later. Them touching up Tir and allowing you to fly in Tir, Dun, and a couple other places was the last attempt to make anything in sync with newer content.
It's just one of the many videos Nexon makes to promote Mabi stuff that barely even uses anything you can actually do in the game. It's about some sort of dungeon letting you experience the first battle of mag whatever.

you can expect 2b ~ 2.5b for a "Kit", which is all mats minus the 100 specific weapon fragments

Not all of them have piercing and I think the perseus will have special enchants of their own.

Perseus weapons (aside from the current knuckles, cylinder, and bars) will not getting be their own special enchants. (This means the 2HS will require 67th Floor to get more pierce than a Dblade. There are new, non-weapon exclusive piercing enchants for guns, shuriken, and chain blade. However, only the Nightbringer series of those weapons have piercing, so it's effectively NB exclusive.

I guess I can add that Taiwan may add new Perseus enchants to Theta, as the current set of Pers enchants (Judgment, Doom, Control) come from there. This is just speculation though, probably not going to happen like the 3 other Apocalypse raids that were supposed to come out.

Dblade can get 1 more piercing than pers for pretty cheap all things considered (currently 100m), while only have 9 lower max at a max craft roll. Ignoring 5 more prot is worth imo.
Pers Titan Blade gets: 60~141 with 3 pierce (+3 from 67th), Windmill +10%, and FH +10%
Divine Blade gets: 63~132 with 1 pierce (+3 from Solitude), Smash +15%, FH +8%, Dura loss decrease
So imo if you don't have a Dblade yet, Pers would just beat out a Dblade in cost:effectiveness (subject to change depending on mat drop rate etc). If you have one w/ Solitude, I wouldn't bother switching unless you want to pay like 750m just to get 2 more pierce w/ Pers.

They buffed the NB weapons too alongside adding new celtic and perseus ones. Just grind techs or grind crom. Or get into an elite top level player circlejerk and have them give you mats for free.

a lot of blaanid's quest line is trying to cobble together a lot of different eras of content into one cohesive todo list, which you're seeing how rough that can get. It's trying very hard to not be meta, so you get moments like this where it just drops a new piece of content on your lap with almost zero context
it felt pretty good to go down a list of stuff and dip my toes into multiple aspects of the game. It was overwhelming for me before but having a sort of overview of the stuff I can do really helped and I'm having fun

Can I use guns as an elf? What do you pair it with? Can you do a support build with guns?
You can play however you want so yeah do whatever. Guns get their damage from STR and INT however I don't think the racial difference from being an elf is that big so you can probably get by. Guns are mostly just dps checks for things that require number of hits instead of damage, you see a lot of that in late game stuff. Outside that, I've never actually seen how end game guns preform. They're really great for clearly easy content like shadow missions and iria and uladh dungeons.

Most definitely, its the easiest talent to get up right next to close combat and doesn't take much to get magic up to speed. Its also about to get even stronger thanks to the new arcana talent coming.

Yeah but takes a lot to get up. Its one of the most expensive to invest in as it requires a late game bow + lvl 50 erg just to be decent. Its a whale tier talent so if you're not afraid to spend real money then go for it. Archers are also about to get an arcana talent same time as mage so both are going to be decked out soon.

Anything can be strong with the right equipment however magic dominates in terms of raw damge. It won't really matter too much because most raids and bosses are gimmicky so raw power isn't going to save you if you don't know what the frick you're doing. Mid to end game raids and bosses have you needing several talents and weapons that you're going to be switching in and out of.
For archery by "decent" I mean it like this

You need and expensive bow just to get that talent to decent whereas Mage, start off a great and don't need a late game weapon right away. You can just slap on a cheap celtic staff which is considered noob's first real weapon after blannid and still be ready for early late game content. Magic is just that stronk in this game and its usually the first stat you hit cap on.

Mage has better aoe and burst
Archer has better sustained single target and faster "old" content clear
both of these assessments will be outdated when their arcanas come out in a few months
Being one of the two archers in guild I can say that I think mage is currently better endgame because:
Aoe and burst is more important than single target sustained dps for moneymaking content (techs, crom)
The only thing that archer is best at currently is running RAHM fastest after you invest 700mil+ into gear
yeah well the previous way to get piercing on guns was to have a drobe/irusan bells, and you don't want to know how much those cost.
You need to be a full blown mage and warrior before you can do any sort of damage with guns anyway. They'll probably make a gun arcana as well. Guns were "buffed" but I'm not sure anyone has invested into them to be able to do damage with them recently. They'd have more or less the same investment to be doing some other physical class's damage instead. For what it's worth, the mobility of Elemental Knight and Dual Gun is pretty fun and allows you to do all types of damage with just two sets of weapons. They just aren't best at single target nor multi target so they sit in a position where they're kind of like chain blades but less useful and with weaker attacks.
Although, considering bows have been weak as frick since forever but they're pretty strong after dumping both 2d and 3d money, I'm sort of shocked there is no gunlord around. Bows are only where they're at now because we have OP, power-creeping, non KR content weapons for them anyway + the recent adjustments.

you should be able to at least kill whatever within 5 icebolt hits. lightning bolt is a little rougher but keep with single charge spam there.
Post stats and skill ranks in or out of dan so we can see what exactly is the issue.
stats are preset in dans so it doesnt matter
if you know they're going to survive 1 snapcasted bolt, I charge 1-2 bolts beforehand and fire that off first
You get more points with hits than kills. Choose the same elemental crystal and chaincast+bolt spam them. I did this post-revamp and got enough points for SS before the golem spawns.
Remember to chaincast if you can before hitting the crystal as it resets its CD immediately.
If you do get to golem, use bolt+counter/windmill.
you can hit SS rank at less than 3 minutes in regardless of hit/kills now, its just that easy post patch
killing too fast will get you to the golem, but you should hit SS anyway in just 1-5 hits with bolts

How do you do ice spear
Hit groups of 4 with a single hit, try to do this as much as possible.
Additional tip: use crisis escape when multi-aggro becomes a problem
