There is no way you're gonna tell me KT or Lady Vashj had no mechanics. BC had TONS of innovative raid fights. In Dragonflight there hasn't been a single boss I would consider actually innovative or great. At least SL had Painsmith, Halondrus, Sludgefist. BFA had Battle for Dazar'alar which was definitely in the top 3 raids of all time.

I don't mind hard bosses if they are also good. M Jaina was amazing. I've done the hardest shit in WoW for years, but they are creatively bankrupt now. The Dragonflight bosses just feel like remixes of previous bosses, and I can't see them getting any better any time soon since they seem to be listening to only to world first raiders. Max praises Rashok as some amazing fight, but I think it's boring as hell. It's just dodge fire and remove stacks in the middle which is just the same mechanic we just had on Anduin last expansion except they made it less interesting.

But it never mattered, ever since then people have latched on and claimed WoD hit 10m. It did not.

Shadowlands but with less content. Plus, they're now splitting the content that main patches used to have come out all at once throughout several months to trick morons into thinking that they're releasing faster patches.
Instead of pretending like there's a variety of content to do like previous expansions, the endgame is 99% M+ speedrunning dungeons. For people that like M+ - esports zoomers - it's the best thing ever. For everyone else, it's probably the most boring expansion ever released.
I just want an MMORPG that has MoP-tier rated PvP, addictive item farming like Diablo 2, casul raids + hardmode for super autists, and no fast travel of any kind, in an engine that's as smooth as WoW's since no other MMORPG comes close to it and always ends up being janky shit with 2 sec GCD's and animation locks.

The ultimate moronation of Blizzard is that's what they kind of did with Legion and the Chronicle books. They made a unified lore, resolved the major threat of the franchise or at least but it on timeout, and they had a perfect starting point for a new arc.
And then immediately shat on it with BFA and Shadowlands, and retconned those books into the trash with a handwave "that stuff was from the perspective of the Titans and they do'nt know everything".

The endgame is either raiding or pushing Mythic + dungeon keys. Casual world content is in a better state than it was in BFA and SL but still not very good, and the timegating/hamsterwheel progression still means that anyone is better off only playing at the end of an expansion/start of a new one when all the catchup/speedup changes are in.
You'll have to do M+ instead, which is basically 5 man raiding and has a community comprised of some of the worst human beings humanity has to offer. I wouldn't recommend it
They are going to scrap retail soon and put it in maintenance mode with Metzen being the face of the new branch off classic.
Although it will be the same people making it so don't expect much.

Picking up the weapons and getting to use it and flying in the air on KT and throwing the the keys to each other on Vashj on Vashj are more mechanically interesting than anything in all DF raids combined.
I don't care how easy they were, they were fun. Hard does not equal fun. I am not a "classic Black person". I got every single cutting edge from 8.1 to 10.0. There were some good/great raids in BFA/SL, but DF is clearly worse in every single way. BC had way more innovative raids.

The Dragonflight bosses just feel like remixes of previous bosses, and I can't see them getting any better any time soon since they seem to be listening to only to world first raiders. Max praises Rashok as some amazing fight, but I think it's boring as hell. It's just dodge fire and remove stacks in the middle which is just the same mechanic we just had on Anduin last expansion except they made it less interesting.

Instead of pretending like there's a variety of content to do like previous expansions, the endgame is 99% M+ speedrunning dungeons. For people that like M+ - esports zoomers - it's the best thing ever. For everyone else, it's probably the most boring expansion ever released.

Why take the huge risk of resetting everything? Only thing I could see happening under Metzen is Classic+ getting its own expansions on a seperate timeline, or retail doing a big world changing event/timeline reset to get rid of the mess BFA and SL made of the lore.

The end of Shadowlands was the perfect opportunity to start a new era since the time in SL flowed differently from the living world.
Make the one who went to shadowlands come back on an Azeroth X thousands of years in the future, could have even revamped old zones, with new threats.
This could have been branded as a new WoW

This might be my biggest issue with the game. Chromie Time also didn't do shit to fix this in any way. And with the marketing of Seasons and more frequent 0.5 patches the FOMO is becoming worse. Sure you can play Dragonflight once 11.0 is out but it won't be the same game.

The only expansion I will ever care about is the one that resets the entire fricking shitty, bloated corpse of a game that WoW is Realm Reborn style.
Just end the world in the lore, make a cool cinematic about it and a fun in game event leading up to "the end" and then reboot the game into something more cohesive that isn't carrying the baggage of 20 fricking years of bloat and redundant features.

The ultimate moronation of Blizzard is that's what they kind of did with Legion and the Chronicle books. They made a unified lore, resolved the major threat of the franchise or at least but it on timeout, and they had a perfect starting point for a new arc.
And then immediately shat on it with BFA and Shadowlands, and retconned those books into the trash with a handwave "that stuff was from the perspective of the Titans and they do'nt know everything".
This + they added the "First Ones" which are basically the Titans of the Titans. Which makes it even more moronic. I was really interested in the lore but this gave it the cake.

The endgame is either raiding or pushing Mythic + dungeon keys. Casual world content is in a better state than it was in BFA and SL but still not very good, and the timegating/hamsterwheel progression still means that anyone is better off only playing at the end of an expansion/start of a new one when all the catchup/speedup changes are in.
You'll have to do M+ instead, which is basically 5 man raiding and has a community comprised of some of the worst human beings humanity has to offer. I wouldn't recommend it
