haven't played either of the games but know the ending of 2, can someone geniuenly explain to me how does Ellie killing like hundreds of henchmen that didn't particularly do anything bad to her, but spare the one person that did actually do something bad to her? it makes no sense.
and what's this obsession with characters not finishing the job for moronic reasons instead of simply losing? same shit happened with Eren, he killed over a billion but couldn't kill the last 200 millino to make those deaths achieve something.

That's not to say that Naughty Dog are clever, it's just that gamers are probably literally the dumbest consumers of fictional media. The Last of Us is still bland movie garbage but at least 2 did something bold.

I was excited for TLOU2 and I liked the game but ever since the cover art was shown I thought it sucked and my opinion hasn't changed, I really like aestheticalyl pleasing cover arts, I have my physical copies of games in a shelf in my room and I have to hide TLOU2 because I don't want the bloody constipated face being shown off.
Why would I want to play this knowing how things turn out in part 2?
