>uses 2 potions
heh... didnt even break a sweat
The design of the world and monsters in this game are just random bullshit.
i won my 1st, 2nd, and 4th runs of this game with zero prior knowledge using only my big brain and my intuition. if you lose it's because you made bad decisions
Anon was clearly talking about the art direction, you oversensitive shill.
>.t 0 ascension
Am I the only one who used the defunctor?
Why are Act 3 regular enemies pretty much elites while the Act 3 elites might as well be bosses
act 2 regular enemies are a massive frick you block 20 damage on the first turn bullshit with no breathing room.
because by the time you hit Act 3 you should have a deck that can demolish them easily. Act 2 is the filter where you either get the cards to finish your build or die.
Agreed. It's also why I never fight the supped up version of the elites on 2. The slavers can just obliterate you with buffs + a messy deck.
So you don't brainlessly take common attacks all throughout Act 1, you need to start thinking about your defense past the first 3 fights.
it's sad that the rip-off of this game where you play as a succubus and try to get as far as possible before being raped is better than the original.

finished, its 10 bucks
is this finished or still EA?
Can you make the face and hair not shit?
you can change the hair but I don't know about the shape of the face. here are some more customization options.
Nice little infinite I got a few days ago. The interaction completely flew over my head when I picked the cards, only realized what I have when I played it, 3 floors before the final boss.
Pretty cool!
Ha. Nice job anon. Always fun to suddenly discover you have some neat stuff via synergy from the cards/relics you picked up.
How do I git gud? My highest ascension is 9 on the Defect, but I usually get fricked over in act 3. Like, what do I do against the talking head dude? I usually run lightning build btw.
You either avoid it, have a burst damage deck and hope it works, or something able to tank that huge damage from turn 5. Level 3 elites are usually not worth it at higher ascension for me.
The thing is that he's almost always the act 3 burning elite for me. And yes I know that the heart is not required to reach the next ascension, but a victory without it just feels hollow.
Either take the key in a previous act, or free yourself from your perfectionism.
I was doing the same, but it eventually became unbearable, and I am glad I didn't even try to go for the heart at A20.
What's your block solution with your lightning build? You need to either mix some frost orbs into the rotation or have some massive flat block cards like upgraded leaps, genetic algo or reinforced body that you play over and over while you let lightning do damage.
But I found it hard to meet act3 block demands with just frontload. Maybe some reprogram+artifact shenanigans.
I usually take stuff like algorythm, reinforced body, charged battery, hologram, boot sequence, leap, stuff like that. Sadly I very often get offered those bullshit cards like claw, self-repair, etc.
Try taking some frost orbs, when evoked with some focus they give insane amounts of block.
Alright, I'll try that. Thanks.
Lose the notion of running a "build"
How do i watcher?
Still haven't managed to beat the heart with her even without accession.
Get snecko eye, ragnarok, wreath of flame, blasphemy (or even regular ol' wrath), a couple of omnisciences and everything dies from a single attack. Easy game.
How the frick do I even build the defect? It feels like the game is just fricking with me on purpose because every time I try to build something orb related I get a frickload of 0 cost cards around half way of the deck. And vise versa if I’m trying to build an All for One deck.
Don't try to build decks. Always think "what do I need to beat the next elite". If that's solved, then think about the act boss. If your deck beats that, think about the next act, and the next, then the heart. Always look at new cards through the prism of your current deck and think how they will interact with it. Watch baalorlord or lifecoach, they're pretty good at explaining their choices and they get amazing winrates at A20.
Other than The Watcher, The Defect is the most difficult character. Compared to other characters, there's a larger number of possible synergies between its cards, but those synergies are softer. Generally speaking the goal is to hedge your bets with cards that are generically useful for as long as possible until you turn the corner on a specific strategy to go in on. Your final deck will have a lot of cards you just don't even care about and try to draw past pretty much every time, that's just the nature of the character.
>play other card games
>they tend to be slow ass frick
>especially the ones with 3 characters
Other than Slay the Spire, what are fast card games?
Monster Train feels more of tower defense like since it's setup, then shit happens
