Well, kind of standard really. That's what the fighter pass 1 (5 characters) of Smash is priced as. And sure, that pass includes 5 characters, with their 5 stages and a lot of music. But another example would be Dragon Ball FighterZ, with a second Fighter Pass of 5 characters, also at 24,99$, this time without new stages, and maybe just a character theme per character. Now, Nick Brawl does NOT looks the part to charge the same of these other games on the big leagues, but assuming the game itself is still on a budget price, I guess I can let pass the DLC price being on the "standard".

I am glad the game looks significantly better than the first one. It’s no spring peach but at least the presentation took a jump in quality. Voice acting on launch is a nice boost as well as…better graphics? It still kinda looks like jank but it looks fun enough. First one was more fun than it has any right to be so I’m curious if this will be better.

But I left the Loud House years ago, so I have no touch with fanbase, hence why I can just assume that between her and Lincoln, she may be more popular marketing wise. At the very least,, she is the one sister that keeps following him to these and the Kart games.

Hope this game ends up well. Did want to try out the first game since I like the idea of Smash Bros. but cartoon characters, but it was obvious that the game had damn near zero budget and the launch roster didn't have anyone I wanted to play as outside of Danny. So far this looks a lot better (not great still, but it doesn't look like shit), has more depth in modes and Jimmy getting in is hype for me personally.
Multiversus was okay, but I was more of a Nick kid rather than a CN kid so the potential roster there didn't appeal to me as much and it was also bogged down by the usual WB microtransaction bullshit. Doesn't help that my favorite CN show is a literal NEVER EVER to make it into that game.
Dagget & Norbert because The Angry Beavers was one of my favorite shows.
Snap & Rudy because the chalk drawing would be a money mechanic for a platform fighter character, show was pretty forgettable.

I can't follow the chain of ownership, but it starts on Frederator having a role on their original production alongside Nick, which somehow leads to Nelvana having distribution rights to half the season, and Paramount taking over most of it's current use of the license over Nick.

Nick only co-owned the first five seasons of the series with Nelvana who distributed it out to international markets, where it aired on international channels like Disney channel in Mexico. They apparently have to get Nelvana to agree to have them put Timmy or the faeries in the game, but I don't get why they can't just ask for permission now since they added him, Cosmo, and Wanda to the tennis game.

If, for all intents and purposes, a boss character fights like a playable character and perhaps require but a few adjustments to be made into one, I always felt that they should be. It's about to be it's second anniversary in a couple of months. Honestly, it's not that surprising, for a License game still aimed at kids at the end of the day. The game would had needed to be a breakthrough success (which it was never going to be, even now) to get a long time support. But it was clear it would get success enough to get a sequel, just like the Kart game do. Still, is better see this as a "Super" Edition of the times of yore, than a full on sequel, even if the new content sound promising.

Publisher most likely. From the get go, budget and oddities aside, this game(s) always had that feeling of "Devs seems trustworthy, Publishers and IP Holders, not really". To the point that, honestly, Me and many others were already waiting for the sequel, even before the first game was out. It's easy to joke with how quickly the first game die, but comparing reception with the Kart games, it was easy to assume it would sell well enough on their scale to get a sequel, rather than just DLC support (hell, even the idea of the first game getting DLC was put to doubt at first). At least, the devs seem to be doing the effort to make it more content rich from the get go now.
People don't care about expansions. Like look at the YouTube comments and see how many people think the voices were only added in 2.

To all the people saying that the first game just came out last year, releasing NASB2 as its own game a year later is probably the smartest thing they could've done.
No one cares when you add voice acting months late to your FotM game that looks like shit. No one cares when you slowly add DLC characters to a game most people have written off. But release a trailer for a sequel that looks a lot better, has voice acting, more characters, and more features? That's exactly what a sequel should be, and there was no reason to continue bailing water out of a sinking ship instead of christening a new one.
