Who the frick is this for? Worst marketing attempt I've seen for a game in quite some time.

Outside of rosterhomosexualry, the gameplay looks really good. The game looks significantly more polished compared to the first game, and I definitely didn't expect ranked to be fleshed out. Definitely seems like it will have more staying power compared to the first one.
Honestly, watching the leaked gameplay has sold me on buying this game. Don't really give a shit about any other games being released this year anyways.

Part of me thinks the VAs didn't give a shit about the games. That or Tom Kenny is just really losing it and I'm noticing it more as time goes on. SpongeBob sounds horrible in Nick Kart 3 and he just plain doesn't have Dog's voice anymore. I'd be okay with re-used sounds for these like the mod for NASB1 did.

To incentivize ppl to buy the game in the form of new content. They probably felt like redoing all the characters and only adding 5-7 new characters was a tough sell. Characters like Aang and Korra might as well be new characters now. The new characters in the game have far more unique gimmicks and playstyles than the old characters.
A lot of moveset revamps happened with the returning cast. That, and there were very likely hard time constraints.

Nick games typically perform horribly my guy. The new avatar game released yesterday had a peak player count of 81. Kart Racers 3 had a peak of 39. Hell, even Cosmic Shake couldn't break 2k.
Meanwhile, NASB1 had a peak player count of over 13k. Even if NASB2 gets even half of that player count Nick is going to consider it a massive success.
