No matter the amount of off-brand r34 shitposting, the Nier games represent some of the absolute top of the modern big publisher video games.
They're fine examples how to make work of art by utilizing the video games rare features - namely the interaction, without turning them into "artsy experiences", if you know what I mean.
Stellar audio-visual design and atmosphere absolutely lure you into these bleak yet beautiful worlds, and both the story and side quests put you into various uncomfortable yet thought provoking situations. Gameplay is top-notch, especially in Automata, with smooth, responsive controls, fast movement speed, lots of aerial control, and plethora of gameplay styles to choose from.
Let's get it out of the way. 2B and Kaine are hot as frick. It's obvious and I won't deny it. But Nier games are so fricking good. I remember playing the first game and being turned off by it at first. It was just a little too weird for me. But when the sequel was announced I gained interest in the series again. I love everything Platinum makes so I knew I'd have to play the first one before the sequel (turns out I didn't NEEDS to do so to enjoy Automata fully but I'm glad I did). Man what an experience. Playing both back to back. I love how often the gameplay changes. The art and music is incredible. Automata is the only physical video game soundtrack I've ever purchased. These games are true works of art. They have interesting stories, art, and music without sacrificing what makes a video game a video game. It doesn't come off as pretentious. It's just a good-ass series
automata has repetitive dodge crutch gameplay and the message of the game is pretentious
its vaguely satisfying and has good music and ass, but its pretty far from perfect. 9S is fricking garbage, the endings sucked.
Oh look, that one 'robot' that everyone loves, except its only robot in name because her design doesn't show it in any fricking way. She also has some dumb cloth strap over her eye for god knows what reason, probably because weebs tend to like their 'waifus' crippled in some way usually. Alisa from Tekken is dumb as shit, but at least while she looks human (pink hair aside), she is shooting rockets out of her hands and has boosters coming out of her legs and shit.
Why wouldn't a robot made of magic, pieces of human souls, alien technology, organic material and made in the image of humanity not look human? Go jerk of to left alive mechs.
So what happened to the other 10 grimoires? Did they all get destroyed when Weiss killed Noir or are they still stored away somewhere by the time of Automata?

Only replicant. Automata is entry level philosophy shit.
why dose someone have a oversized razor blade shoved up there ass in this picture
As video game discussion reaches n time frame, the result is always waifu discussion. Nier is alive because of 2B's ass
2b's ass is the only reason anyone gave a shit about this forgettable game.
Finally someone with a brain

I tried playing this game, but I couldn't get into it at the mandatory side quests. Does it get better?
>designed as war droids
>gives them degenerate coomer bait outfits

She looks like a robot when you use the self-destruct function.

I don't think they ever made it out of the room that turned Weiss and Noire into one.
JUMANJI JUMANJI JUMANJI
I want to cum on 2B's boots.
I like Nier Automata but those fricking Nier raids in FFXIV suck
I NEED THE SAUCE
Literally how I want my bum to look like
