Mother 3 isn't compatible with Nintendo of America's posture or brand. And they know that an official localization that lets it conform to that brand is not what the people demanding an official translation will not be happy with that. They also know that everyone who's making a big fuss about it every time it comes up have already played it and are actually tremendously unlikely to buy it. They're not going to localize a 20 year old Game Boy Advance game for an as is, emulated release. The only way they'd consider localizing it is if a remake enters development at Nintendo proper. And they still might decide against it for the same reason as above. The people with the strongest feelings about it already have expectations that cannot be met. The people who are the most likely to care are the least likely to accept what is reasonable to release. It's probably never going to happen, it's not worth doing. They made a huge mistake in not cutting Lucas from Brawl.

Hi-Fi rush runs on Laptops and that's WITH devuno tanking the performance but even assuming Hi-Fi rush wasn't a perfect 60 FPS on switch hardware:
1. the game is a rhythm game. all the game logic, movement, animation etc is tied to the music track position not the framerate so it wouldn't matter if it dropped to the 50s or even 40s.
2. it wouldn't matter to switch players since they're used to eating shit anyway.

At this point I'm not fighting it anymore. The Switch 2 is coming next year, probably by March, and I can only hope and pray the FE4 remake and MP4 get revealed for it.
It's a shame though. I was hoping Nintendo would give the Switch a little more of a proper swan song besides "lol Mario"
