I can appreciate the effort at some level, but these fan-made tech demos always miss the mark. It doesn't look like a Mario game built in UE4, it looks like a UE game with a Mario skin covered over it. The mix of realistic and 'cartoon'-ish upscaled Mario 64 assets makes it look and feel wrong. There's no coherent artistic design.
